Not a huge fan of re-entrant tuning on a bari but that sounds like a fine instrument. The playing of course is exemplary!

Tips? Tricky. Just do proper practice. And improvise often. Make up little tunes. You will gradually build up a stock of phrases. Focus on one key at a time.
