They performed this song last night at the Greek Theater in Berkeley - I nearly cried. One of their best songs off ( ) album. Sigur Ros, seriously one of the best bands.
Some of their songs are sung in what they call "Hopelandic". The Untitled ( ) album is sung completely in this way. Jonsi uses his voice as another instrument and it allows the listener to make whatever meaning they want out of the singing.
Just found this song today and have been listening to it while studying for my finals. The song is calm and mellow and there are no lyrics to distract you while concentrating. Great song for studying and on its own.
There is no words for how beautiful this song is. When I listen to this song, I become the music. I become the song. I become the instruments. The drum is my heart beating. The instruments are my breath. The song is my thoughts. And it all together is my soul.
I went to see them in concert when i was about 16, best day of my life and i'm so glad i caught them before the hiatus. When this song came through in the progression i cried my eyes out. Then i smoked a joint sitting on the floor and reassessed my life listening to Glósóli. I still get shivers every time i hear any one of these masterpieces like i'm sure most people here do. As buzzinginourears said, you feel it in your bones, it's like your soul aches.
I listen to this almost every morning while doing my schoolwork. It's a beautiful, calming, and relaxing way to start each beautiful morning. It reminds me of how precious and beautiful life is, and how every little detail is the most magical thing in the universe. Life is love, as long as you accept the love that you have been given… …that's what this song means to me, anyway...
It was snowing when I first heard this song, thick and slow falling. I was driving through it and while the whole song is amazing, from about 6:40 to the end I remember thinking, this song was written by angels
I don't hear some music here. Not something real. I close my eyes and see some angels, all around me, lost in a blinding white light. They call my name, they cry help, infuse some divine pain in my soul and i want to become a kid back again, i realise how weak we are. It makes me drop tears and my skin is shaken by frozen chills. It burns my brain. This is so beautiful.
sigur ros will never stop amazing me. i dont know how they write music like this. its not just listening to it, it brings some kind of comfort to me every time i listen to them. they are the eigth wonder of the world...
This video is mesmerising. Seriously good job on this like - normally when people attempt making films to sigur ros they end up looking ridiculous but this is really really good. This is my favourite piece of music by sigur ros, and as such my favourite piece of music ever, and your video complimented it brilliantly.
To me, this is what Sigur Ros videos should be like. Instead, they're always about children. I do not picture children when I listen to this music. The videos take away from the music, distracts from the music. This video does it right.
Everytime I listen to this song I have to shed a tear. I don't know why... it's so beautiful, magnificent, but it sounds so much like a farewell to someone beloved
No puede haber alquien con tanta belleza. Si Sigur Ros. Esta canción tiene una potencia desmesurada, tonos muy bajos, y termina en lo mas alto. Nueve minutos de placer.
not only is this album amazing, but it is a totally structrually perfect piece. just a set of theme and variations. and when i use the word just.... i mean totally perfect. tthis band are the best ever
the reason why i think art of flight is the best film ever... so many emotions to carry with snow... this feeling to go out at night on a mountain... breath the ice cold fresh air and having the feeling to be on the best place of the world! ;)
@TheAngryMarshmallow4 Wow, my english teacher did the same thing for us! except he showed us untitled 1. ( he showed us the music video). Thank you English teacher for introducing me to so many great bands, with out you i wouldn't even be listening to music right now!
@Areskelian, I know your comment is old, but actually they sing in Icelandic -which is a real language. But the rest of that is a beautiful thought, they are amazing :)
@mcordes102 apparently this song is also called E-bow, just thought of it.. The band actually had titles for the songs, and untitled 6 is called E-bow, because the bassist uses an e-bow in this song. My fault I gues ^_^
holy shit nice u got top comment (Nate Aroian). don't no why i came to the video after all this time but im happy i did i totally forgot how awesome it is.
wow! this video was awesome! it goes really well with the music. this song is my favorite sigur ros song. man, i wish i knew more about this band. i wish they would come play in Los Angeles. oh, man, they make me really really wet!!
This song is so unbelievable beautiful.. It was the first song that really made me cry...I was in the train and listened to this song..the more I heard it the more my eyes filled with tears..It was strange, I didn't know why, but it was the first time something like this happened to me.. It's a breathtaking, magical and misterious song..Sigur Ros are simply great..the best band in the world for me... I also do music..melancholic and slow..maybe some of you would like it..it's on my channel..
This must be one of the most powerfull and emotional songs of all time. Just cant stop listening to it.
I love how a lot of their songs are sad but uplifting too. It's just how you interpret them. But man, what a great song (and album) this is...

EPICAL ART OF FLIGHT
Magnus Geert Jensen Just so underrated
My absolute favourite, What a music!
Sigur ros makes music like no other. No music touches your soul. I well up with emotion when hearing most of there songs.

the best ending in a song ever.

Sigur Ros; my soundtrack for travelling.

Sigur Rós always comes up with amazing music. I can't believe how they can build a both sad and beautiful song.
higher level of musical initiation, I love it
This video is mesmerising. Seriously good job on this like - normally when people attempt making films to sigur ros they end up looking ridiculous but this is really really good.
This is my favourite piece of music by sigur ros, and as such my favourite piece of music ever, and your video complimented it brilliantly.
All that springs to my mind when i listen to this is the morning after a medieval battle.
To me, this is what Sigur Ros videos should be like. Instead, they're always about children. I do not picture children when I listen to this music. The videos take away from the music, distracts from the music. This video does it right.
hauntingly beautiful, as you said.....
Oh! so this is what I was hearing when I was being born.
If there is a heaven... IT will be playing sigur ros, every wonderful second.
Everytime I listen to this song I have to shed a tear. I don't know why... it's so beautiful, magnificent, but it sounds so much like a farewell to someone beloved
Your English teacher is a total badass and I am jealous that you have such an awesome teacher.
So beautiful it hurts
No puede haber alquien con tanta belleza. Si Sigur Ros.
Esta canción tiene una potencia desmesurada, tonos muy bajos, y termina en lo mas alto.
Nueve minutos de placer.
I'll never forget Travis Rice hitting that sick Method clipping the tree branch with this song playing. Man's a legend.
not only is this album amazing, but it is a totally structrually perfect piece. just a set of theme and variations. and when i use the word just.... i mean totally perfect. tthis band are the best ever
Beautiful and sad memories.........
the reason why i think art of flight is the best film ever... so many emotions to carry with snow... this feeling to go out at night on a mountain... breath the ice cold fresh air and having the feeling to be on the best place of the world! ;)

ART OF FISTING
its been eight years. do u still agree with your past self?
THATS SO TRUE!!
@TheAngryMarshmallow4 Wow, my english teacher did the same thing for us! except he showed us untitled 1. ( he showed us the music video). Thank you English teacher for introducing me to so many great bands, with out you i wouldn't even be listening to music right now!
@Cruciothekitty27 Hello, this is Areskelian again :)
Yes, they do normally sing in Icelandic, but not on this album. All the vocals here are wordless.
carina,davvero rilassante...
@Areskelian, I know your comment is old, but actually they sing in Icelandic -which is a real language.
But the rest of that is a beautiful thought, they are amazing :)
best sigur ros song. largely overlooked. btw...the idea of a blank booklet isn't cute, t's appropriate
@mcordes102 apparently this song is also called E-bow, just thought of it.. The band actually had titles for the songs, and untitled 6 is called E-bow, because the bassist uses an e-bow in this song. My fault I gues ^_^
My first year in High School...2012
the BESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
5 people have to change their headphones.
holy shit nice u got top comment (Nate Aroian). don't no why i came to the video after all this time but im happy i did i totally forgot how awesome it is.
6 people who disliked the song have serious mental and emotional problems
Flashback
3:30 - 4:13
Astonishing
absolutely devastates evil
@peaceman1665 Same here. They can craft some seriously emotional melodies.
@legniak1 sorry for interrupting but in this song Georg uses an e -bow that's why it's called that
It sounds me as a magic formula sang by an ancient entity from the deep Universe.
20 anni fa💓
I'm looking for a song which appeared in "The Simpson"(The saga of Carl).
Is from this band.
Someone knows the name?
Most likely Olsen Olsen! ua-cam.com/video/j2GjOC79gVI/v-deo.html
@legniak1 E-Bow is the name of the song!
Me too.. but you should also check out 2 and 5. 2 starts out interesting.. but yeah, get's a little repetitive. 1 is my all time favorite.
@Areskelian the lyrics are in a real language... sigur ros are from Iceland. its just not english.
So glad there's an add to kill the songs vibe. Ridiculous. Keep those on the pop videos.
you never believed in me, i'll show you what i truly am. listen. listen.
Están tan cerca de los dioses...
@Areskelian I think you'll find the language is real, it's Hopelandic.
I heard someone gave birth to there child while they had this song playing in the delivery room
Radiohead vs Sigur Ros
DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE
The best things don't need means
wow! this video was awesome! it goes really well with the music. this song is my favorite sigur ros song. man, i wish i knew more about this band. i wish they would come play in Los Angeles. oh, man, they make me really really wet!!
no. e-bow is what they use in the song , i think :S
I miss Kjartan!
Jonsi does not use an ebow, he uses a cello bow!
Why don't the songs have names?
@koooldude7 MY HERO
@Cruciothekitty27 They do sing in Icelandic, but not on this album. This album is in a made up language, 'Hopelandic'.
@koooldude7 hhahahahahahahahahahaha made my day.
@koooldude7 chill bro lol
Kocham Cię ZAWSZE!!!! jeśli to czytasz to tak Ciebie też, gdyż miłość kocha wszystko co się pojawia... Przestań tęsknić, zacznij kochać!
lol I feel bad for the people who disliked this, they must have a terrible taste in music.
6:33 - 8:50 :')
Please
this song will be played at my funeral, I'm only 18 but I've decided this since I was 10
don't wanna be the mom, but Jonsi actually uses a real cello bow instead of an ebow. Just sayin, any way you gotta love the music
This song is so unbelievable beautiful..
It was the first song that really made me cry...I was in the train and listened to this song..the more I heard it the more my eyes filled with tears..It was strange, I didn't know why, but it was the first time something like this happened to me..

@Rahuruk Whopps, on my brother's account... goddammit
