Frankie your Mother is a true OG of this Kingdom Hearts 2 journey. I had a smile creep across my face when she defeated that boss and then the icing on top of that was the way she exited the room like a true badass! Awesome!!!!!

The extended battle against Xemnas culminating in the epic 2v1 duel together with Riku ABSOLUTELY cements itself as one of the all time greatest boss battles in gaming history! Perfection!
This is definitely the most cinematic of the games. Everything really comes together. The story, the action, the emotion. And the mysteries too.
Kingdom Hearts I is like a classic Disney animated fairy tale or a Don Bluth movie. Simple and sweet, sometimes running more on emotions than anything. Dark, and bittersweet too.
Kingdom Hearts II is a Disney renaissance film. Much more polished, deeper story and characters, and a rousing climax with great emotions.
Kingdom Hearts III is modern Disney for better and worse. Drop dead gorgeous visuals, stunning set pieces and still great emotion, but unfortunately a tendency to slow down too much and retread what came before (the irony that a game that got criticized for too much line for line stuff came the same year as the worst Disney remake at line for line is not lost on me).
Perfect comparison IMO, I love all of them but this is a great summary of all their vibes, they've always felt so distinct to me and I always get the urge to visit a specific game because of it.
Meanwhile the side games are Alzheimer's: A Documentary, Tron: Minus Tron, A Shakespearean Tragedy: The Game, Star Wars: The Keyblade Wars, Pokemon: Pink & Purple Edition, and Guitar Hero with Swords.
Ah yes because the entire rpund of second visits in KH2 wasn't slow as fuck at all.
@@PikminandOatchi well the second round WASNT slow as fuck. World revisits were almost always faster then the first time, and in the revisits you are actually doing shit against the organization in the disney world UNLIKE KH3
You put words on what I feel too. The pace and storytelling in kh3 was ..bizarre ?
In comparaison, It feels like all come together naturally in kh2 between the disney worlds, the evolution of Sora and the main story.
In kH3 it's like they don't want to mix KH Lore and Disney as they did before, the apparition of the Organisation on these worlds were so ridiculous that even the protagonist said it
I won't ever forget the battle against 1000 heartless... Feeling the odds against you, you put your skills and gear to the limit, you've got the amazing Final Fantasy cast that we adore fighting alongside you. It was a feeling that i wish I could experience for the first time again... One of the best moments ever in gaming for me.

The editing for the ending at 52:09 was incredible! Love that they did this for the first and second game!
I will never forget my first time experiencing the KH saga (so far) in the summer of last year. And when I got to Kingdom Hearts II, it just blew me away. Gameplay, story, worlds, everything about just felt like the next level. To this day, remains one of my all time favorites. Sobbed like a baby when it ended.

Honestly, the fact that the huge fight from the start of the video ran on the PS2 will never cease to amaze me, it's such a technical marvel
So, like many things, it's cleaver work around, mostly smoke and mirrors to make things look like they are working.
The PS2 can't render all those enemies at once. So to get around this for the 1000 Heartless fight, all the enemies in the background are only PNGs/JPEGs. A set amount that the engine could handle would instantly turn into real enemies.
As you killed more, the JPEGs would turn onto real enemies.
This also works in areas where there's lots of enemies.
All for the illusion of an army.
Game development is both a curse and fun in this way.
You’ve just triggered my worst memory of defeating kh2 after fighting xemnas all day and then my game crashing during the cutscene lol
Riku’s battle voice lines are super nostalgic for me. I played the final battle a lot on my old PS2 as a kid. It’s still one of my favorite boss battles of all time. The art, music and environment are amazing.
I'm pretty sure this comment will get ignored, but I love how you sang "My Sanctuary"
Plus I also cried during the end of the Winnie the Pooh storyline
Oh wow you got the bugged (makes it super rare on all versions after playstation 2) Xemnas voiceline. During the second armored fight he says "Sora, are you certain you can trust Riku".
There's another line where Xemnas tries to screw with Riku's mind as well. They're such cool lines that you pretty much never hear on ps3,ps4,xbone or pc.

I've always noticed this before back when this game came out, but now it's time to put it to words finally. Sora's hands are GINORMOUS to cover Kairi's entire back!

One of the things that kept me coming back to the series was not only the characters and story but the MUSIC. I listened to the KH1/2 soundtrack relentlessly throughout high school when these first came out. The story is so nuts now even I have a hard time keeping up and I used to be a walking wikipedia about the series. I've also been waiting LITERALLY 20 years for a damn kiss between Sora and Kairi.

Understand Frankie, that moment you see Sora and Riku reading that message on the beach we all were mere children, now imagine not knowing what happens next after te letter in the bottle and then waiting 12 years to find out in KH3. yeah. lol.

This game pulled me out of some very difficult times. I think there’s such a beauty in seeing someone enjoy something that you hold so dearly to yourself. Kingdom Hearts is a masterpiece.

Its always wonderful to see new fans experiencing these games for the first time :) The emotional roller coaster of the story, mixed with the frustration of facing challenging encounters only to be followed by those triumphant "YES! That part where you showed scenes from your journey starting from the 1st game to the end of kh2 brought a tear to my eye tbh. Brought back so many memories from my childhood of playing these games.

Fun fact: Corey Burton played Sark, who was played by David Warner in Tron. Corey Burton based his Transformers G1 Shockwave voice off of David Warners voice. So Burton was the logical choice to voice Sark.

I've kind of put kh4 out of my mind for now as who knows when its coming out. And we have ff16 and ff7 rebirth coming before then. But I think I am pretty excited for it. Looks great on unreal engine 5.

Another Frankie original tear jerker/laughathon. The first time through, the story of this game is as confusing as quack, but emotionally you kept up very well. A quacking good job by your editor, too. The ending! Oh and your mom is very good at games, I see. And now I know that when you put your hair up, quack is getting serious. And the journey continues. The next two games (358/2 days and birth by sleep) are gonna mess you up emotionally, but KH III will put it all back together again nicely.

26:00 the winnie the pooh story gets so sad in kh3 because they do lose the bond again and because we see pooh not so often and i was watching someone else said, what if its because sora is growing up like Christopher did and no longer had pooh and that's why the connecting is weaker

I know Kingdom Hearts can be a bit convoluted but god damn it that's why I love it so dang much lol. Everything makes sense if you really pay attention. The storyline with Roxas and Namine becoming part of Sora and Kairi is chef's kiss.
