I loved these Josh Klinghoffer albums so much, didn't understand why they had to part. There was so much new energy and dimensions to the music. Josh and John in a band would make them so so.... More creative.
It would've been very unfair to Josh because he would've been in John's shadow. Taking a backseat to him. He already was that way even without John. Unfairly too many people comparing him with John, how he wasn't John, bring John back. John and Josh also were no longer friends, stopped talking when Josh joined RHCP. John wasn't thrilled the band continued on without him. Both guitarists also had different visions for the band. Josh didn't care for Rick Rubin as a producer at all, felt disconnected in the studio because the other 3 had a relationship with him and Josh was the reason they brought in his good friend Danger Mouse for The Getaway. Of course when John returned, Rick returned.

One of best live performaces I've seen from im with you. Look at anthony, he signs perfect and looks he is about to cry and let his tears sing along with him. Glad to see comments about Josh talent. He deserves it.
Josh’s voice is so angelic. It’s almost eerily beautiful, I don’t know what it is, but I just love it so much. Definitely my favourite Peppers vocalist.
Music is often the best medicine, especially after a break up. Somehow certain artists are able to sing words that bring out emotions and points of view that we didn't even know we had. What's more, you never know when it's going to happen. Have fun at the show and just let go. I've seen them twice and both times it's been a great party.
My boyfriend told me to listen to this song the first time that we got in an ugly fight. I thought everything was over between us but after that I listen to this song I felt like a had it a good reason to let him stay :)
I'm going through my first heartbreak and I'm seeing these guys in a few days. I can't tell you how stoked I am. This is the best break up song ever and seeing them is going to be the best medicine.

Josh's backing vocals are amazing here, wish I could hear them separately.
