Thornton does a superb laconic Texan - his delivery is authentic, effortlessly conveying that Texan dry, biting kind of humour (which always has an uncomfortable ring of truth to it).
The 3 ingredients that make Landman: -1/3 Drama involving Tommy, Monty, the lawyers and other M-Tex employees. -1/3 Soap Opera involving Cooper and Ariana. -1/3 R-rated comedy involving Angela and Ainsley.
I couldn't finish this episode. It seemed like it was a bunch of clippings off the floor from all the editing of other episodes. Just thrown together for the hell of it. Didn't make any sense...
Kinda slower filler Basically build up for future episodes. You can't have a tv based in the real world where crazy shit happens everyday becomes repetitive and unrealistic.
