On 12/28/20 We walked in your foot steps in Crooked River State Park. Hiked every path, saw the observation deck on the green trail, and stayed in spot 39. Thanks for the great idea! It was great! Have a Happy New Year and keep posting the videos. They are really great. We watch them every Sunday🎄🎉
I’m ready to get back to camping, we haven’t camped as much this year not because of COVID. Life often gets in the way, but we have to make time for what makes us happy. Y’all are so inspirational. Find a way to visit your loved ones, there is a lot of depression in the elderly due to isolation. We often think we are helping by staying away but a lot of our elderly are getting sick an dying due to the effects of loneliness and a change in routine brought on as a result of the pandemic. What a great video. We love staying in state parks and here in Tennessee, they are not crowded (at least the ones we go to). We feel safe in a state park and they have such great hiking trails. I agree with you about Covid - it's very confusing to us. It was great seeing Maggie run on the beach. If that doesn't show pure happiness, I don't know what does! I'm liking your switch to the Revel. My wife and have been watching your videos with your travato for awhile now. We were leaning towards the Travato, but after watching all cool spots the Revel takes ya. I might hitting wife up to switch. Great videos as always.
We loved the Travato, it seemed like the prefect size, and it has taken us some time to get use to the limited space in the Revel but we are loving it more every time we take a trip. I think it just takes some time to get use to something different. We just took a snow trip and loved that we had the security of the Revel. You can’t go wrong with either one. Good Luck making that decision.
Hello From Ohio! We have been following for about a year or more! Took our Travato to Alum Creek State Park in Ohio overnight and enjoyed some snowy hikes! And we enjoyed a relaxing evening watching your newest video- which is our Sunday thing! We’ve had our T since June and started a “must places to see list” based off your travels! Happy New Year!

One of the things that we are thankful for: Van Trekking Lifestyle with Owen, Lynn, and Maggie!!! Thank you for all of the encouragement and adventures that you have shared this year! We stayed at Crooked River GA State Park in 2019....very nice! We visited St. Mary's Submarine Museum, the USS George Bancroft which is a full-sized Navy submarine displayed as if it's surfacing out of the grass, and near by Cumberland Island National National Seashore. Fun!!!

We bought our Travato in August and have been camping three times this year (one for business and two for fun). We are discovering that we love the state parks too with all the variety that they have to offer. We live in Texas and have parked the T for now, mostly because of the Covid and partly due to the colder weather. I really appreciate your candid perspective on traveling / camping with the Covid going on and the mixed messages that are out there. I just started following your site and really like your positive attitudes and good insight into camping with the class B. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Howdy! One of the things I’m grateful for is finding your channel. I don’t know exactly what made me stop long enough to watch your video, but I’m glad I did. You guys are such a good reminder that even during difficult times, there is fun and more adventures to be found. The ten tips you gave are good for anyone to try to incorporate in their daily life. Achieving all may not happen but it’s the trying to reach a goal that matters. Just put some intention into your daily living! Great video. You must make another trip to Crooked River to enjoy the boat ride to Cumberland Island where there are wild horses. It must be a cool weather trip though. Thanks for your hard work and I think I do need a Blackstone grill now after your cooking demonstration.
One of these days we will make it to Cumberland Island, it sounds great. We don’t go because we would have to leave Maggie without a way to get back to her if something happened. The Blackstone grill is great for cooking and eating. Happy New Year!
You guys would love Stephen C. Foster state park. It is actually in the Okefenokee swamp, and not very far from where you’re at in this video. It is very remote so make sure you have everything you need. The closest store is about 17 miles away.

We enjoy your videos. Your tale sounds a lot like ours. We like to move and see a lot, never staying more than a couple of days in any one place. We were into sailing for many years, living aboard for a couple of years. Switched to RVs, started with a Class A, downsized to a 19 foot fiberglass travel trailer then about a year ago, downsized to a Promaster Van conversion. We've camped and slept in all of the lower 48 states and lived in AK for 3 years. Like Owen, I'm a musician, albeit not nearly as talented as he is. Travel safe. Maybe we'll see you on the road some day.

@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle living aboard a sailboat is much the same as RV but at the same time, very different. We were early 40s when we sold out to go sailing. We loved it, but after a while, water, sand and Palm trees all look the same. RVs offer a better variety of scenery and allows you to cover ground much more quickly... like running from a hurricane. Getting groceries, laundry, etc is much easier in an RV. I wouldn't trade our sailing days for anything but, now that we're retirement age, I think the RV is a better option for us. Take care, have a great New Year. Maybe we'll see you out there somewhere.
OMG! I could write a book of comments about this video. I loved every section! I think you guys are doing as best as possible with masks and physical distancing. Here's hoping the vaccine will be a great start to getting back to normalcy. The 10 tips are right on the money. I don't do the exercise (like I should) but I drink lots of water and most of the other ones. Gratitude is the most important one with music being a close second, imho. Hello guys! Nice video today! Sure makes me want to get and camp and hike. We are in lockdown in San Diego but we can still get out and go for walks. It always looks better somewhere else! Ha! Everyone should have a dog. They bring so much joy and they love camping too! What kind of dog is Maggie? Owen I know you like to wear your gaiter as a mask but it isn't really safe enough. The material isn't thick enough to keep out the virus completely. Just watched a video on masks. Just my 2 cents.
Maggie is a rescue so we are not entirely sure what breed she is, but the vet says part boarder terrier. We do wear better mask when we are not hiking, the gaiters are just so easy to pull up when hiking and we never really get very close to anyone. Thanks for the suggestion. We hope you get out of lockdown soon.

Did you feel uncomfortable when you saw ppl not wearing masks in GA? Went there for a cpl days. I felt so uncomfortable being around ppl not wearing them. I have 5 family members in GA. 3/5 have had covid. None of them wore masks. That’s proof enough for me that everybody needs to wear a masks! Beautiful park! Can’t wait to see the one at Straight River!

Well... it changes... often... most are filmed with our iPhones (right now iPhone 11 Pros). Action and water scenes are filmed with DJI Osmo Action camera. We just added a new camera to the mix... an Insta360 One X v2 360 action camera. Verdict is out on that one so far. Great and easy to film with but editing is a more lengthy process for sure. Hard to beat the ease of use of your phone for just recording what you’re doing. We should use better cameras (and we have them) but taking them, charging them, offloading clips... it all just gets to be too much in a little van.
We did not, it is something we’ve always wanted to do but we would have to leave Maggie for a long period of time and that is something we always struggle with.
And #11 on that list of ten would be watch Van Trekking as often as possible! Enjoy your videos guys. Never fails to put a smile on our faces.

One of the things that we are thankful for: Van Trekking Lifestyle with Owen, Lynn, and Maggie!!! Thank you for all of the encouragement and adventures that you have shared this year! We stayed at Crooked River GA State Park in 2019....very nice! We visited St. Mary's Submarine Museum, the USS George Bancroft which is a full-sized Navy submarine displayed as if it's surfacing out of the grass, and near by Cumberland Island National National Seashore. Fun!!!

We bought our Travato in August and have been camping three times this year (one for business and two for fun). We are discovering that we love the state parks too with all the variety that they have to offer. We live in Texas and have parked the T for now, mostly because of the Covid and partly due to the colder weather. I really appreciate your candid perspective on traveling / camping with the Covid going on and the mixed messages that are out there. I just started following your site and really like your positive attitudes and good insight into camping with the class B. Keep up the good work and thank you.

Great video. You must make another trip to Crooked River to enjoy the boat ride to Cumberland Island where there are wild horses. It must be a cool weather trip though. Thanks for your hard work and I think I do need a Blackstone grill now after your cooking demonstration.

You guys would love Stephen C. Foster state park. It is actually in the Okefenokee swamp, and not very far from where you’re at in this video. It is very remote so make sure you have everything you need. The closest store is about 17 miles away.

We enjoy your videos. Your tale sounds a lot like ours. We like to move and see a lot, never staying more than a couple of days in any one place. We were into sailing for many years, living aboard for a couple of years. Switched to RVs, started with a Class A, downsized to a 19 foot fiberglass travel trailer then about a year ago, downsized to a Promaster Van conversion. We've camped and slept in all of the lower 48 states and lived in AK for 3 years. Like Owen, I'm a musician, albeit not nearly as talented as he is. Travel safe. Maybe we'll see you on the road some day.

@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle living aboard a sailboat is much the same as RV but at the same time, very different. We were early 40s when we sold out to go sailing. We loved it, but after a while, water, sand and Palm trees all look the same. RVs offer a better variety of scenery and allows you to cover ground much more quickly... like running from a hurricane. Getting groceries, laundry, etc is much easier in an RV. I wouldn't trade our sailing days for anything but, now that we're retirement age, I think the RV is a better option for us. Take care, have a great New Year. Maybe we'll see you out there somewhere.
OMG! I could write a book of comments about this video. I loved every section! I think you guys are doing as best as possible with masks and physical distancing. Here's hoping the vaccine will be a great start to getting back to normalcy. The 10 tips are right on the money. I don't do the exercise (like I should) but I drink lots of water and most of the other ones. Gratitude is the most important one with music being a close second, imho. Hello guys! Nice video today! Sure makes me want to get and camp and hike. We are in lockdown in San Diego but we can still get out and go for walks. It always looks better somewhere else! Ha! Everyone should have a dog. They bring so much joy and they love camping too! What kind of dog is Maggie? Hope you had a joyful holiday and thanks for making my time this morning joyful by watching the two of you! Stay safe! p.s. Owen I know you like to wear your gaiter as a mask but it isn't really safe enough. The material isn't thick enough to keep out the virus completely. Just watched a video on masks. Just my 2 cents.
Maggie is a rescue so we are not entirely sure what breed she is, but the vet says part boarder terrier. We do wear better mask when we are not hiking, the gaiters are just so easy to pull up when hiking and we never really get very close to anyone. Thanks for the suggestion. Did you feel uncomfortable when you saw ppl not wearing masks in GA? Went there for a cpl days. I felt so uncomfortable being around ppl not wearing them. I have 5 family members in GA. 3/5 have had covid. None of them wore masks. That’s proof enough for me that everybody needs to wear a masks! Beautiful park! Can’t wait to see the one at Straight River!

Well... it changes... often... most are filmed with our iPhones (right now iPhone 11 Pros). Action and water scenes are filmed with DJI Osmo Action camera. We just added a new camera to the mix... an Insta360 One X v2 360 action camera. Verdict is out on that one so far. Great and easy to film with but editing is a more lengthy process for sure. Hard to beat the ease of use of your phone for just recording what you’re doing. We should use better cameras (and we have them) but taking them, charging them, offloading clips... it all just gets to be too much in a little van.

We did not, it is something we’ve always wanted to do but we would have to leave Maggie for a long period of time and that is something we always struggle with.
