I may just be being dumb but what was the purpose of buying rare valuable items? As I just thought you sell them so Ive never wasted gold on buying them in my playthroughs
After like 30 hrs I had to restart my game. I went with a male elve the fort time and I was like there are too many elves even my inquisitor was an elves. I also felt like he was too tiny.
Sorry but i must be daft :) You say Treviso and Mintrathous vendors. Do you mean the factions with that ie. Veil Jumpers in the forest or are there city/country vendors also? As you say 6 main vendors. A little unsure dont want to make mistakes. Hehe
Sorry yes. The shadow dragons vendor (in Minrathous) and the Antivan Crowd vendor (in Treviso). Both are right by the main spawns and the same goes for every faction vendor in every location. They are also marked on the map and can each be upgraded hence being the main 6 vendors (as opposed to marketplace vendors).
7:14 The only class bioware wants you to play is Warrior because if you don't, you will be missing a key part of this for a good portion of the game. I'm 15+ hours into this game and I do not have a warrior as a companion yet
The combat looks easy enough that I doubt any point of this game will require a balanced party to complete. I assume they made it easy enough for one to get through the game regardless of your class/companion combinations. It doesn't seem very punishing.
@@blackhat4206yeah there was only one battle I had a really tough time with and I was able to respec my mage to deal a different type of damage and managed to sneak through that way. Warrior would have been super helpful for it though to keep everyone off me.
@blackhat4206 my point is bioware made a big thing about the primer and detonation mechanic then don't give you 1 companion from each class in the beginning to make sure you can use it and this combat is just a GOW clone and bioware wants you to play as Kratos
I started with a mage and I used harding and neve until I got lucanis. I never had any issues not having a warrior on my team. Now that I have warriors I still don't feel there's much of a difference from not having them. I would argue that there's no major need for a warrior except for harder difficulties or some boss fights.
Which cameo are you referring to? Varric and Morrigan have been in every single piece of promotional material for this game. Or is there another character im not thinking of?
I wish I knew that characters will be worst in Bioware history, that there will be barely any enemy variety and one of worst boss battles in action games, that shooting red blobs will be one of the main activities, that side quests would be same crap as in Inquisition, that main story would be extremely bland until final 2 hours, that most of the factions are leftovers from live service version of the game and I can keep going One of the biggest dissapointment in history. th
I just accepted the fact that bioware themselves cannot do facial animations right based on how bad andromeda was when it first came out. Also agree that the dialogue can be bland, almost seems like the VA had no context in regards to the delivery of their lines, like they weren't told that during a specific line they were meant to sound angry, or surprised, sad etc and just went with a neutral tone isntead
@SirDIVVI except Bioware has done Facial animations before. Not great ones like BG3 but definitely not tired face syndrome. I mean the whole point of that meme was that the ME trilogy LACKED those messy animations despite being a comparatively older game.
@@clarencewalters338 ya, no idea how they mess it up, maybe it's more of an EA issue? I'm expecting the next ME will be better than DA:VG for facial animations, but still not up to par when compared to other modern games unfortunately. Quality of the dialogue will be more concerning imo
Going from Cyberpunk 2077 to Dragon Age: The Veilguard id wild 😂 From maturity to immaturity. From subtility and complexity to 0 IQ and lecturing. Why would you do that to yourself lo
Because EA probably put forth a hill of corpo money. The first of these videos was already stated as "sponsored by EA", so this one might just be another entry of the promised series. So in a sense, this IS some quality cyberpunk (the genre, not the game) content. But I suppose when the media cycle is over, things will go back to usual. Media blitz is a "blitz", after all. Also, guess he was lucky that his videos are gameplay-focused, heard that reading the dialogues feels like being hit by three synapse burnouts followed by a Blackwall gateway.
Alternatively, this could be Sam testing the water with the follow-ups. The first video is already made, the DEI have already been cast, doesn't hurt to try and see if this line of content have genuine audience support. And if you go back and compare the likes of this video with that of the the latest CP/ER videos, the result seems clear enough. I guess there is no reason to worry too much. It does look bad now, but when the dust finally settle, I bet the man probably will still remember the best quesadilla spot, and the taste/aroma of coffee.
I wonder if Sam would consider doing a "Minimal interaction - Maximum gameplay" guide. Where one can avoid having conversations as much as possible but still explore and battle & reach the end of the game with adequate abilities - assuming someone wanted to treat it more like an action game; that is (even if you might miss some stuff).
I know people don’t like discussing the concerns of the “modern topics” inserted in game. But it is a genuine concern among many dragon age fans, including myself. I have beaten the game and there are good elements to this game, but I still can’t help wonder what could have been if they focused more on characters and choices from old games instead of ensuring the importance of gender identity politics which is seen quite a bit in game, even somewhat outside Taash.

just the mobile game- esque art style was enough to convince me not to buy Veilguard, since art direction heavily informs the entire tone of the game. Hearing some of the pbs kid's cartoon-level dialogue in some of the more detailed reviews confirmed my suspicions. I'm sure there's a lot to enjoy in the game, but I'm clearly not the target audience for it.
This is the most level-headed and sensible "negative" comment I've seen about this game. This is how a mature adult handles things while all the children jump from video to video insulting creators and screaming "woke" and "shill." Good on you, mate.
And this just shows how people have varied preferences because I think the art style is absolutely gorgeous. I don’t like anything that tries to be hyper realistic. Something like this is just perfect. Everyone has different opinions and that doesn’t make someone more or less mature or child-like.
Why are you sharing your personal review of a game you haven't played/will never play on a tips video that's aimed at helping people who do play the game? Honestly a genuine question.
Curious as to what you mean by tone? I agree the dialogue isn't very good and some of the textures for the characters/npcs definitely look too smooth, but the setting still has the same tone or theme from previous games. One of the 1st places you go to is called D'metas crossing and its a good depiction of how evil/dark the blight can be. The only real mobile game esq art style i noticed was the HUD, but i personally got over it pretty quickly
@@SirDIVVI It’s definitely not as dark as previous installments, but that is mostly due to the lighthearted dialogue and lack conversation options mixed with the character designs. The dark spawn are much closer to Reaper husks now, and look a lot less menacing in my opinion. The dialogue is much more aligned with Mass Effect’s paragon/renegade system with a clear emphasis on paragon, but I haven’t finished the game yet so maybe I just haven’t seen enough. Leaving the mayor to his fate is the closest thing to a renegade option I’ve come across, and it’s arguable. None of the previous games were as good as Origins for me, but 2 and Inquisition were closer to the tone and spirit of Origins than Veilguard is from my perspective. I preferred the character design and art direction of the previous three games, but the combat and general gameplay of Veilguard is better than the last two installments. The writing is the biggest thing that drags the game down, but it’s still a good game in most respects.
But wasted time entertaining a video on a game that you’re not going to play. I get being a sheep and not having your opinion is cool, but you should really think about how stupid your logic is.

I wish the description of the runes would pop up when I'm going through them in battle because I keep forgetting what they mean 😢
I may just be being dumb but what was the purpose of buying rare valuable items? As I just thought you sell them so Ive never wasted gold on buying them in my playthroughs
I think they provide increased faction rep when you sell

had to down vote this video because of that information about venders i love the game.
@@xsvrrx you downvoted the video because he gave a spoiler warning and exposed nothing?
After like 30 hrs I had to restart my game. I went with a male elve the fort time and I was like there are too many elves even my inquisitor was an elves. I also felt like he was too tiny.
Sorry but i must be daft :)
You say Treviso and Mintrathous vendors.
They are also marked on the map and can each be upgraded hence being the main 6 vendors (as opposed to marketplace vendors).
the amount u get from valuables depends on the valuables, its not a flat 3, goes up to 15
It depends on the vendor. Certain vendors will give 15 for specific items.
Seriously if you don't like the game what is the point of hate posting? Move on
Could someone please tell me if the armor or black dress of that woman with the sword in the artwork that resembles a crow is present in the game?
@@krisp4838 I started as a mage, and have been priming myself and detonating overwhelmed with Harding since level 3 or so.
I started with a mage and I used harding and neve until I got lucanis. I never had any issues not having a warrior on my team. Now that I have warriors I still don't feel there's much of a difference from not having them. I would argue that there's no major need for a warrior except for harder difficulties or some boss fights.
Man the combat is so great, I really miss a multiplayer mode, as Inquisition had.
Please put a spoiler warning before mentioning a cameo of a beloved established character in the franchise.
Which cameo are you referring to? Varric and Morrigan have been in every single piece of promotional material for this game. Or is there another character im not thinking of?
Why i bring the nerco and warden.
I wish I knew that characters will be worst in Bioware history, that there will be barely any enemy variety and one of worst boss battles in action games, that shooting red blobs will be one of the main activities, that side quests would be same crap as in Inquisition, that main story would be extremely bland until final 2 hours, that most of the factions are leftovers from live service version of the game and I can keep going

Its definitely a little concerning the games facial animations and dialogue are so stunted. Does not make me confident about ME5...
The thing I dislike most about the game is the fact that it's hard to make a female character that doesn't look completely mannish.
@@MandalorianRevan That is 100% a Skill issue.
Going from Cyberpunk 2077 to Dragon Age: The Veilguard id wild 😂
From maturity to immaturity.
The biggest tip about this game is not buying it
You hate boner guys are hilarious
Or you could stfu and let people enjoy what they like
Hoe why are you here then
The game really isn’t bad … it’s not great but it’s worth a buy
Buy the game homie...
Just play a different game at that point
I know people don’t like discussing the concerns of the “modern topics” inserted in game. But it is a genuine concern among many dragon age fans, including myself.
I have beaten the game and there are good elements to this game, but I still can’t help wonder what could have been if they focused more on characters and choices from old games instead of ensuring the importance of gender identity politics which is seen quite a bit in game, even somewhat outside Taash.
That's a false dicotomy. The reason there is so little connection to choices in previous games is not that they chose to talk about gender instead.
Actually it is. They had to prioritize their check boxes over everything else
I am disappointed that all dragons fights are the same :(

@@theobell2002 a smart person doesn't need an explanation for this.
"Look how they massacred my boy"-True DA fans.
just the mobile game- esque art style was enough to convince me not to buy Veilguard, since art direction heavily informs the entire tone of the game.
Nooooo! Not you too Sam!!!! Who you making this video for!?
Never gonna play this trash anyway but thanks.
