tip for the future, don't apply direct flame to heat shrink. do quick passes where the flame is close but does not come into contact with the tubing. all it needs is heat.
Looks very nice, would you mind sharing the schematic somehow? I cant find the manual online and would want to make one myself, but with different case and layout, i'd design a PCB to make this all more compact.
Star washers on the bell housing to tie it electrically and magnetically to the core and then isolate the transformer from the chassis, can you explain the benefits of both actions? Thanks!
isolation of power transformer from the chassis is a good way of preventing hum from the mounting bolts passing to the chassis. Impressed with the details of Bottlehead design. Build more and enjoy, James Kaolee.
