This is a very beautiful piece of electronics art. Well done! // I will go to your website to purchase those fantastic PCBs! Thanks for sharing this video with us.
Do you have a schematic for the psu. The mark iv is different from what you built. St70 is also different. What transformer did you use for the psu. The only transformers I could find on piemme Electra was the pa-60 and a-470.
looks like a nice amp, I build my own Tube amps and other stuff from the ground up and have a whole system using pretty much only tubes. But we don´t even get to see your amp lit up and playing?
Really satisfying to watch. What is the planning process that moves you from say the circuit diagram to the architecture of the turret board and the components in situ?
Looks a bit like Dynaco’s legendary solid state “Universal Tiger”. I like the raised tube sockets and floating PCB, that maintain point-to-point wiring. But what happens when the tubes inevitably burn out. In what countries are tubes still being manufactured?
Some tubes aren't being made any more and of course NOS ones are now $$$$ but most tubes are still made somewhere, Russia, Eastern Europe, and China mainly but Western Electric just started making the giant 300B again in the US with plans to start making some pre-amp tubes soon.
The Universal Tiger was Dan Meyers design ( Southwest Technical Products ) I built one in high school in 1972. Still have it. It just blew away my Crown D150a . The McIntosh clinic guy said it looks crude but works as well as any McIntosh SS amp of the same vintage.
What beautiful details! You don't even have to turn on the power! Listen to music on the player.
@pcb-audio I'm new to amp building. What is the difference between this amp and the power amp section in a guitar tube amp? I'm interested in building an all-tube power amp for guitar. I just want to build the power amp section with no pre amp.
this is for hi quality sound , guitar amplifier need more power and sensibility for pichup input and this amplifier is a stereo versioni , you need mono amply...one channel with gain a tone control.
Listened these type of amps in the 70's. Nothing compares to them. Thought I would be able to build one like this but there is no enough info. Jumps from setting one channel to a whole power supply finished
to compare it you have to listen to it yourself but I think it's impossible, the only way is that you have to build it. No kit is available but only the bare boards with turrets. Thank you from pcb-audio.com
It looks good, but there's no way to figure out where you place the amplifier (cabinet), how many controls other than volume has and features like type of inputs etc.
The completed twin Dynaco Mark IV amps are beautiful. Very nice work !!!
How about a sample audio test..

AIM9G last of the tubes in the Sidewinder air to air. The AIM9H first of the OpAmps Sidewinder, using cordwood modules.
In 1974.

Looks amazing, wish I lived in a house tidy enough , it'd have to be covered, wouldn't look so good covered in dog hair and dust.beutiful work tho.
Wow you're really talented. I wish I could do that.

Its about how its wound, it may look in the same magnetic plane but its unlikely.
Very cool. I'm sure it sounds great !!
Really satisfying to watch. What is the planning process that moves you from say the circuit diagram to the architecture of the turret board and the components in situ?
you have to plan the assembly of the components through the wiring diagram

There aren't many tubes you can't get a hold of, especially the ones used here
ok thanks

I'm jealous of you ... It's cool ... 🎉👍
tks
Nice one, just one question about the transformers as they all 3 in the same direction? May be change the power transformer 90 degrees?🤔
if you have noise put the main trasformer at 90 degrees otherwise no

@@pcbaudio Thanks for the info. Great video.
where can I get this setup?
Great video, thanks. What caps did you use in the power supply?
SCR polipropilene capacitor
oddly satisfying

nice job!
I did. This stuff 60 years ago

Wow, that is hot. And nice transformers by the way. Is it possible to get the whole kit online?
hi , i have only the pcb
Can this amp be compared to be par with audiophile amps, if can be, then with what model? Also, is this kit shipped to any country? Thanks.

Got sound or not after completed ?
It doesn't ring, I keep it as a doorstop
This is beautiful. Great work.
Excellent... which country are you in? Please tell me the price of this product
italia
Looks very good but what does it sound like 👍
bass response is amazing...sound like a real tube amp
Very nice!!! No inputs/outputs??
yes, there are into cabinet

yes , it 's inside a cabinet now ::::)))
Ciao , avresti lo schema con tutti i componenti usati? Grazie
@@pcbaudio Grazie!
So beautiful
Very nice, 😊😊😊any se schematic?🎉🎉🎉inspire me to build a preamp using same setup
Schematic: dynaco mk4 like title
Did it work?
yes
Where can I buy this components?
what is the value of the transformers?

i don't know , sorry
No worries @@pcbaudio thanks for replying

no , tks

Wrong transformer mounting... decouple the power transformer flux from the output transformers by rotating 90degs.
Correct but no hun or noise so i'happy
A masterpiece!! 🙂
I doubt if music plays while he solders but we have listen to it.
🏆🏆🏆🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷 great job
thanks

So you'll have an amp sitting in your home with several hundred volts exposed all over it just waiting for someone to mistakenly touch it?
che osservazione , ti pare che rimane cosi ?
It separates the men from the boys.
It Is inside a box now..

I am not sure why you talk about " welding", you are very clearly soldering
It's a very common mis-translation from a different language....

Certo , prova fatta all' inizio , nessun flusso disperso, quindi ho lasciato così.
