I follow travel vlogger Eva zu Beck for a long time on her channel, glad she make it to Croatia.
It would be cool to see her in Lika or Zagorje also
She is who brought me to this channel! ✌🏻❤️🐉
Love with my Croatia ❤🇭🇷❤
I am so captivated with your smile and energy Evahhhhhhhhhhhh
I definitely agree w/ you Ardee, she's hot too....
Great video! Croatia in general was one of my favorite trips/countries. People were great, the country was beautiful, and the food and wine were fantastic! Istria was wonderful as well.
Definitely more appeal to the entire place than here in North America. Everything looks the same on our Giant 6 lane boulevards. It's "Corporatized" to the max. You hardly see any independent anything. And the worst? Corporate assembly line Food.
Mediterranean heaven!

My father was born in Istria until Yugoslavia took over and the Italians had to move over the newly made border. Post-communist rule has brought some of the original Italian heritage back to the area.
Hannah, so are you daughter of Italian-Istrian refugees? Where were they from, which part of Istria?
Such great experience! I want to be there right now. Thank you fr showing us around :)

Great stuff, great show! Thank you for your lovely energy and involvement! Just one little comment, with a suggestion - the music that played in the background had nothing to do with Croatian / Istrian traditional music. Other than that - you go girl!
Loved the video. Learned something about olive oils. Where did you park your beloved "home on wheels" - the Defender? It does not make an appearance in the video. I am guessing this video was done before you had a meeting of minds with a cow in Montenegro. I very much enjoyed your video about bicycling across the south of Poland. You probably passed near where my maternal grandparents were born and raised before immigrating to the U.S. in 1914.

Eva, that's a wonderful video. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Are you still in Istria? If you are, you shouldn't miss the Istrian coast. Towns like Rovinj (Rovigno) or Poreč (Parenzo) resemble Venice. On the other hand, the main Istrian town of Pula (Pola), at the very south of the Istrian peninsula, is not so Mediterranean but it seems more Central European since Pula was the main naval base of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire. However, there are many remains of the ancient Roman times in Pula, including one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world.
Opatija (Abbazia), at the eastern coast of Istria (some 15 km west of Rijeka), used to be the main summer resort of the Austrian elite ("Adriatic Nice") and looks pretty much like Vienna (at the sea, of course).
Adriano, sei un Italiano-Istriano?
@@davidetoffoletto9981 I am from Istria but I'm not Italian. Italians names are very common among population of Istria, regardless of ethinicity.
@@adrianomilovan3645 I'm a little bit sorprised you reported the name of the cities with their historical Italian name......
@@davidetoffoletto9981 Names of the towns and villages on the western coast of Istria are bilingual - Croatian and Italian in the Croatian part of Istria and Slovenian and Italian in the Slovenian part of the peninsula.
That means you can read at the entrance of Pula both names of the town - Pula, and Pola, just like you can read Rovinj / Rovigno, Poreč / Parenzo, Novigrad / Cittanova, Umag / Umago, Buje / Buie, etc.
Names of the streets and squares in bilingual areas are also in Croatian (or Slovenian in the Slovenian part of Istria) and Italian.
@@adrianomilovan3645 yes, I perfectly know. I live in Caorle, near Venice on the Venetian shore literally in front of Istria and I'm always there If I want a "different sea" for my day at the beach. I repeat, I'm a little bit sorprised the croats report the original Italian names of the Istrian towns since in Croatia there is the tendancy of neglecting the millenial autoctonous presence of Italians in Istria, deleted with the foibes and the exodus
you were so close. I am 50 km from Motovun in Lovran
Hi Eva👊m new subscr from Philippines🇵🇭
Yes, Istria belonged to Italy until the end of the Second World War ... but it belonged to Yugoslavia, that is, to Croatia today, because the majority of the population was predominantly Croatian. Only in some small towns were there more Italians than Croats. Nice report. Thank you ❤️🇭🇷
Maybe in your Historybooks they tell fake stories, reality says Istria was always predominatly Latin, the Venetian so Italian.. and It will return back to Italy one day, because Istria is ours
Dont think so....and btw lets give all asia and half europe to mongols..that is your stupid logic....you got all italy still wants other teritory..sad
In coastline the majority was italian.
Austria's claim that the majority of opinion there is German and Slavic is based on falsehood, as any foreigner who has visited those towns and districts can affirm. If the racial and lingual preponderance were German and Slavic, why were the manifestoes ordering the mobilization of the people in the valley of the Trent printed in Italian, as were probably those placarded on the walls of Trieste? ... The Italian claim to Istria is based on historic grounds, on the alleged preponderance of the wishes of a majority of the population...”

What is name of the Konoba that you went to? Great video. Thank you.!
I did Lithuania years ago, always wanted to come back to eastern europe and check other nearby countries.
This is not eastern europe though... it is southern.
@@emanuel3345 yep love to travel south east too.
@@JamesWilliam70 Nah. Not East and not South-East eather. Geographically it's South-Central Europe (much more West than Vienna for example). Culturally and historically it is and always has been part of the West. I'm sure you'll find it though.
Love this! I was in Motovun just a few weeks ago. One of my favorite places for delicious Italian type food, at half the price 😋 I also made a UA-cam video about this!!
Montona was one of the Italian cities of Istria, populated by 98% Ethnic Italians until the end of 2nd WW. Istria is part of the Italian nations, you just can't notice the thing today because the population was forced to leave with the use of violence
🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷🇭🇷
Can anyone please help with the name of the background music? The one with the video ends.
i'd love to taste real olive oil, unfortunately unless you get it from somewhere like that it's all mixed with vegetable oil. its impossible to buy it pure in the uk even if it says pure on the bottle. there is some great documentaries about the olive mafia and the reason why pure oil is so hard to find. also, i could watch Eva all day long ❤
Instead of 'pure' look for Extra Virgin Olive Oil and I suggest trying to source it from a small Greek market or other small supplier
@@rrocketman even extra virgin oil in the uk is mixed with vegetable oil.
@@Lenny101 if you ever visit the Mediterranean countries you can check the small markets

Especially in the well-known Italian "Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva" up to 20% palm oil is contained. Clearly proven by renowned chemical laboratories (outside of Italy). Although Italian institutes (state controlled) have confirmed 100% olive oil for the same sample.

And if you don't know the country and its people, if you have as little knowledge of olive oil as Mrs. "Eva zu Beck", you will get a cheap product from Morocco or another country, as "Olio EXtra Vergine di Oliva" turned on.

Eva,👩 Love you videos 💖"The world belong to the brave!"🧔
When you visit the world, when you discover the world for yourself and others, you should inform yourself about the country and its people, about the history of the country. Mrs. zu Beck obviously did not do that in this case.

Welcome Eva???
