It's very nice to see your take on waterfall tabs. It's also kind of inspiring how simple the decoration on this setup is as it's just the washi tape.

I think you nailed the theme. You used space in its definition by using the tabs. This is beautiful BTW. I am a new viewer who is also getting into bullet Journaling and this channel has already been a huge inspiration!!!

I love seeing new types of spreads for tracking productivity of any kind. Even though you’re using a spread for work, I might use it as a stay at home mom. Or someone else for school.

Hi Jess! I very seldom enter the comments sections of social media, but I HAD to let you know how much I love the habit tracker low bar/high bar concept. I find the dichotomous did/did not achieve format of many habit trackers so demoralising! This method allows for the recognition of even a small step in the right direction, and I cannot tell you how much I believe this will help me. Thank you!

I wish I had a reason to use waterfall tabs in my spreads--they look so damn cool. Unfortunately I need all the page space I can get.
The square notebook is literally perfect for these types of tabs given the additional page width 😝

This is a gorgeous setup! I'm not big into pastels either, but I love this. I would love to see a video on your thought process for breaking larger goals into sprints and how to then breakup those sprints in your planner. Something with a real life example would be awesome.

I totally cut a little bit of them because I’d just replaced my blade and it was super sharp 😂 but mainly it’s about applying lighter pressure 👏 tricky, and takes some practice
Work spreads, specifically content creation would be great to see Jess. I added a calendar for tracking my work but now I need to work on planning. I super love the batching idea.

Love the color palette on this one. As for the set ups; 80% of my time goes to thinking about it. Once I decided how I want it to look it's "easy", most time is used in thinking about it

I love how this turned out. Waterfall tabs can make it really challenging to fit in your planned spreads, which was something I noticed with my yearly collections setup that had multiple waterfall tabs at the beginning.
Yeah it was interesting to change things up so that everything would fit properly 😝
I’ve found highlights every other line and then make the weekends a different color can make large cross two page trackers easier to fill out. Especially if it one you won’t fill out every day and therefore might write the next one on the wrong day

JESS! The way I adore this setup. The waterfall tabs are gorgeous and you've made me want to try a square notebook so much! I love using you use the high/low bar method - it's something I learned too, and apply to my writing. Though, I've never thought about doing it for other habits. Hmm, food for thought! Also eek, it's the 23rd, and I WAS going to try and be chocolate free for the next 100 days (I've been really good lately and barely touched any), but today I woke up craving it something chronic. I guess I can just do it over 90 days instead - after all, it only takes 90 days to fully form a habit. I hope you have a great October xx

I have my habit trackers split into binary (did/didn't do it) style and intensity (how much did I do) style. I use crosshatching to mark each box, so I only need my daily driver gel pen to mark things.
The different marks I use are blank, 1 diagonal line, 5 evenly spaced diagonal lines, and 5 diagonal lines + 5 diagonal lines in the other direction.
Binary habits use blank or 5 lines for enough visual contrast without using a ton of ink. Intensity habits use 1/5/10 lines for good/okay/not good, so I'm ideally using minimal ink and areas of a lot of ink catch the eye and serve as a warning to course correct (e.g., a few days of poor sleep and/or hydration leads to migraines for me).

What I enjoy most about watching your bujo set ups is how often you change things around. It gets repetitive to see the same layouts over and over again every single month. Even though you include the same type of pages you change up how you're doing it and it makes it much more enjoyable to watch.

Haha 😂 yeah I wanted some contrast between the pastel colours, so using black line work that was kind of heavy helped me achieve that. Was very tempted to put some larger black sections in, but it looked a little bit too heavy sadly 😅🥲

It looks sooo pretty! Can't wait to find out how the new layouts are working for you. Funnily enough I did a very similar theme in August with waterfall tabs and a celestial washi set. Mine was a bit more moody though with deep purples, pink and gold as the colour story. Haven't decided on a theme for october yet 🤔

This is a gorgeous theme and color palette + washi combination and I just LOVE how you did the waterfall tabs! Square notebooks intimidate me so much because they are so big and there’s always so much space lol I used one for a reading journal a couple years ago and basically said “never again!” because I found it to be too big for me, so I really like seeing examples of how other people do layouts in square notebooks so that maybe someday I’ll have the courage to use one again 😅 also, I’d really love to see what kind of work-related spreads could be incorporated in a bujo! I’m not a content creator but do find myself often adding things to my bujo planner that are specific to my work (program/project manager) so I’d love to see some layouts related to that :)

i was on the live the other day when you showed off your elliptical screen shots and i am so proud of your progress with "movement" ! Setting the bar super low is totally the way to go - for me, the exercise "low bar" is putting on my workout clothes. Once you do that it feels ridiculous not to follow through!

I just finished setting up my Oct theme of celestial witchy and the washi is almost exactly the same, except a black-ish blue with holo foil and a smidge narrower from etsy (6 waterfall dutch doors at 1cm).

I'm using the B5 and I think I might have to do the waterfall tabs for October.
It was a fun new technique 😄💜 I probably wouldn’t do it in an A5 journal because I wouldn’t have enough page space left over, but the B5 and square notebooks would handle it well.
My October set up is going to likely end up really simple cos I’m set up my new bullet journal thing month and so and going to be very pressed for time. Using washi tap as the artistic element might be the way to go.
The tape in this one certainly made the process faster than it could have been! 💪
i’d PLANNED to use the washitapeshop’s stuff for October, bc I loved how it looked last year and have a TON of leftovers, but OFMD s2 is out next month, and the black and pink color set the poster uses is calling my name 😅

If I were doing this in an A5, I'd certainly cut away less of each page so I still had ample space in the layouts 👏 but it's doable! 💜

I'd like to throw my vote for more work-related spreads. I'm a writer, so my tasks tend to be the same (ie. "did you write words today?") or I'm working on different stages like researching a location before writing the chapter set there. I'm not sure a grid tracker would work as well, though maybe a creative one could? I don't have a current spread like that except my goals/action plans, which include the writing projects. I could use some ideas for how to keep myself honest, log what did/didn't happen, and so on. I think I go through stages similar to your work process, except the writing takes months, as does editing, and I'm not looking at final revisions at all until a year from now... so it's silly to track that on my monthly spread. (Maybe I need a long term collections bujo.)
