What exactly do you mean? I think Harry’s Ben would also be the same with his daughter? Or do you mean Harry’s Ben had more a temper on him? Or are you imagining it is two different bens, and Harry’s Ben sees the other with his daughter? Harry’s Ben was generally kind, but obviously troubled like the last few bens we’ve had.
@@CALSW0RLD Harry's Ben wasn't exactly a saint but he also wasn't nasty, violent, threatening, or controlling. Although he was a loose-canon with a short-temper, Harry's Ben was also loyal and kind-hearted. Seeing what he was like with Dennis Jr, I don't think that Harry's Ben would be the same as this new Ben with his daughter!
Pauly B Yeah, but I think with the character being gone for a year, if they brung back Harry they could’ve made him controlling and violent, because I think Harry’s Ben could’ve been! Him being troubled could of made him overtime become like that. But what I meant is, he’d probably change around his daughter because that’s different to Denis, he is only his step brother, and when he thought he was having a baby with Abi he didn’t accept at first but then became happy. That’s why he was worried when Abi had a supposed miscarriage and he tried to smuggle his dad because he was so angered and upset. And when he found out about Abi faking it, they could’ve of made him go nasty then, and to be fair Harry’s character had potential to. Harry’s character though was at times nasty, and he did go nasty at that. Plus Phil has had his loyal moments, and Phil has a softer side.
Would of been good if they kept Harry’s Ben, and if he was in this scene. Harry’s Ben was pretty much turning into more of what you’d expect Phil Mitchell’s son to be, but he left. Even when he returned from his second sentence, he had obviously changed overtime but was still getting tougher and tougher as time went on. I think Paul getting killed is what made him more of a fighting type person, and will fight if he must. If Ben was still being played by Harry, he’d be able to pull this off, as the character had been away for a year, so Harry’s Ben would’ve of also evolved more.
To make Ben into a tough guy doesn't make any sense because Ben has always been somewhat wimpish, hence why him and Phil don't get on. Ben will never be Phil or Grant, he's a completely different character and the sooner the writer's accept that the better Ben will be. Focus on Ben and Kathy!
Pauly B True, but I always thought Harry’s Ben was probably the best, yes somewhat wimpish but he had courage to stand up for himself. He grew confidence and isn’t as scared, and fights when he has to. Been out of prison, and he’s matured in a way. But like you mentioned, not that evil as this Ben. Harry’s Ben had emotional issues, this one is more dark. I do thing though certain things (before this Ben) made Ben stronger overtime. Wimpish, but doesn’t back down as much as Charlie Jones character did. That Ben was really wimpish, and obviously hadn’t fully matured yet, and he grew out of the dancing. That Ben got bullied by some girls in his class. If that was Harry’s Ben he wouldn’t let it happen to him, wouldn’t be so scared. And to be fair Harry’s Ben had dark moments, but it didn’t define him. The ben before that though was quite troubled, and at first that Ben didn’t feel sympathy for heathers death (as much) and then when he returned as Harry Reid he seemed to be more remorseful.
Pauly B Yes I’ve always known they where wimpy. And yes that’s to do with Kathy being overprotective partly, but also Ben was originally in Ian’s care so that was like 10\11 years of his life all together from living with Kathy to coming to Ian. When Harry Reid’s version left, Ben was his own person pretty much, traits from Kathy’s parenting, and also being troubled from experiences. Then again, Ian sometimes stands up for himself, but he’s kinda between the two. He’s wimpy for the most part, obviously no gangster, but he got into boxing at one point, and if he carried on I wonder what he’d of been like? He’s mostly all talk because he’s rich, but he’s no brawler! But there are a few characters who are meant to portrayed as evil, but not fighters like Nick Cotton.
@@CALSW0RLD You're definitely right about Ian, he's all talk (mainly due to his wealth) but no action (due to being wimpy). Perhaps Ian not being rich would finally shut him up!
