- Wunderschönes Meerwasseraquarium in der unteren Etage eines Einfamilienhauses. Seid ca. 20 Jahre steht das Aquarium nun schon und besteht Hauptsächlich aus Acropora Korallen. Ein Traum für jeden Meerwasseraquarianer.
I've been in the hobby for 20 years now...this is the best tank I have ever seen!
You obviously haven't seen many then; first impression is ITS TO BLOODY CROWDED; you've substituted quality for quantity. Hardly ANY of these plants have the room too grow, thus making it look au natural!

Gorgeous aquarium, I really like the balanced spectrum lighting. so much easier on the eyes than the super blue tanks you see everywhere these days. Thanks for sharing this.
On a side note, you might want to turn down the volume on the music. I had to turn down the volume a lot when it started and had to turn it back up again when yo guys were speaking.
What a spectacular tank! You don't het to see many reef tanks with such balanced color. Especially with an sps dominate tank.

Traumhaft. Das sieht nach viel Arbeit an den Korallen aus. Ständig beschneiden das die sich nicht überlaufen. . Toll aber da sind wahrscheinlich monatliche Betriebskosten im hohen dreistelligem Bereich . Trotzdem wer es sich leisten kann , darf sich auch erfreuen.

Nur das Aquascape hat noch Luft nach oben, das könnte Lockerer und mit weniger größeren Stöcken sein. Aber daran lässt sich im Nachhinein wohl auch kaum noch was ändern.
Coral selection is amazing, however depending on parameters and lighting he'll need to frag frag and frag some more to keep on top of corals fighting for real estate haha. The fish selection is slightly shadowed by the corals. Feminus wrasse pair..... spectacular!
To be fair he does have the spa coral "family types" more or less together and they should be good to grow. Them Lights are growing machines!

Danke Michael für das tolle Video. Das Aquarium ist ein Traum, die Korallen sind einfach nur der Hammer und wirklich sehr gesund. Man sieht, dass es den Tieren sehr sehr gut geht. . Falls es einen Punkt gibt, der "bemängelt" werden könnte (Jammern auf hohem Niveau...), ist es der etwas uninspirierte Aufbau mit fehlenden Schluchten. Ist aber wohl wie so Vieles Geschmackssache :-)
Das mit dem Aufbau , ja aber 1997 hatte man das so gemacht..Heutzutage würde er auch ein anderen Aufbau machen. lg
It's a great home aquarium. I get that you distinguish SPS from Reef keeping in general. I imagine he does much trading to promote the hobby and why they are kept trimmed.
This is a beautiful tank and obviously the owner has some incredible skills. However, I don't actually like the way it looks. Something about how many different species of acropora he has within close proximity to each other makes it look fake. No real reef looks like this. Variety is great but if he allowed 3-5 of those acropora to spread and dominate the system a little more with all of the others dotted throughout I think it would make for a much more aesthetically pleasing display.
I know I'm probably alone in this thought so let the flaming begin...
Chance It’s an amazing tank yes but I 100% agree with you. You can see the corals have all been neatly placed in rows and they are mostly similar in size. It’s to organised and it doesn’t look natural at all.
Good point. Organization doesn't really let you be creative sometimes. Still an amazing tank. A lot of difficult fish to keep alive but they look so happy. That makes me happy. It be so amazing if more species could reproduce in captivity but I'm sure with setups like this...the possibilities are endless.
Chance: I completely agree with you. Aquascaping wise a lot to improve. If it would be less just a wall full of corals the same size, the aquarium would gain a lot optical depth. That would make it a lot more interesting for the viewer. The size of the aquarium is, for sure, a dream.
Same here. Yes, he really knows how to keep corals and fish, but it just looks quit unnatural.

Hallo. ne dosiert nichts. btw coral vitalizer dosiert er ab und an mal. sonst aber nix. finde aber nix aber nix auf der Webseite. Bei acroporas is eigentlich der Trick. Viel Gutes Licht. also 10.000 Kelvin und das 12std. nix stundenlang nur blau beleuchten..

Lol 😂 I have been resistance to LED for 10 years now but giving in to at least try them soon. I need good prove as for now it seems we need lots of power on led as well but the cost is just too much

Ray Tan Hello Ray, if you mean your small beginner tank.. in your tank are only very very easy corales. And only 20Liters. If you keep acropora o other corals with a lot of fish you need skimmer and wave maker.

@@michaelreef2019gmail Due to the limited space, I can only produce water for the aquarium by installing a DC pump in the back of the filter tank.
I believe that I can solve the problem of dissolved oxygen in the tank and the output of nutrients, so no Protein skimmer is needed.

Ja wer so lange Meerwasser Hobby macht hat alles erlebt. Mit weichkorallen angefangen, den Problemen der 80/90 Jahre. Und heute mit eigener Ableger Ecke. Doch die Grundsätze bleiben gleich. Finger weg vom Becken und um so einfacher umso besser!
Da würde ich auch für Ableger das doppelte bezahlen.
