- Car: VAIDOTAS ZALA / SAULIUS JURGELENAS (AGRORODEO) won the stage Jeddah / Al Wajh in front of STÉPHANE PETERHANSEL / PAULO FIUZA (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM) and CARLOS SAINZ / LUCAS CRUZ (BAHRAIN JCW X-RAID TEAM). VAIDOTAS ZALA / SAULIUS JURGELENAS (AGRORODEO) is in the lead of the overall.
SSV: ARON DOMZALA / MACIEJ MARTON (DOMZALA) won the stage Jeddah / Al Wajh in front of CASEY CURRIE / SEAN BERRIMAN (MONSTER ENERGY CAN-AM) and JOSE ANTONIO HINOJO LOPEZ / DIEGO ORTEGA GIL (HIBOR RAID). ARON DOMZALA / MACIEJ MARTON (DOMZALA) is in the lead of the overall.
Direction Jeddah... This fishing village dating back to the 7th Century has become one of the busiest ports in the world, as well as the gateway for pilgrims to the holy places of Mecca and Medina. This coming January 5th, the second largest city in the country will be the starting point of the Dakar and will more importantly signify the immediate entry into the difficulties of the rally. The first third of the rally will test the navigation skills of the riders and crews. The direction choices will be made more complicated by the multitude of tracks. Near the Red Sea or the Jordanian border for the stages around Neom then towards Al Ula, it will be the navigators who will lead the way. With more and more sand, the course will pose major challenges in the dunes between Ha’il and the capital Riyadh, where there will be a rest day. The rally will continue and intensify with the discovery and exploration of the vast “Empty Quarter” desertic portion of the Saudi territory where the all-important Shubaytah and Haradh stages will be contested. But the general classification will not necessarily be set in stone heading into the final Qiddiyah stage, where navigation could catch out even the best.

I am proud of my small country (2.8 mln.), wich has 6 teams in Dakar !!! Yes, 5 car teams and one motorcycle !!! I sincerely wish all compatriots every success in this marathon. It is strange, but in Lithuania sport Nr.1 is basketball and sport Nr.2 is DAKAR!!! Congratulations to Lithuanian 2019 Rally Champion Vaidotas Žala !!!
Dakar needs more UA-cam cover. Like F1 now does. These summary videos are too short and quick.
They need TV coverage too like they used to in the 2000's.

Really enjoying the videos but they are way way too short, trying to cover over 300 km in 5 minutes is crazy - all we really get is a summary of the results. Please please please can we have more coverage, it doesn't even have to be covered by commentary all the time - we want to see more of the actual racing.
But for me the biggest plus point is that I no longer have to listen to the crap that comes out of Carlton Kirby's mouth over on Eurosport!

Yeah, we need more, and not just the Red Bull guys. I have watched the Red Bull channel on ROKU and it is all just their drivers not mentioning any others. Maybe someone in Spain can upload the 1.5 hours of daily footage to youtube for the rest of us.
