Im a big Matthew fan and FE7 is one of my favorite games of all time. Canas is my favorite from FE7 but Ill throw a few votes to Matthew too if I remember to vote.
My CYL 9 plans are originally supposed to be for Sigurd, with a few votes for Caeda thrown in there. But they both have broken alts. Sigurd's a main lord, and Attuned Caeda was one of my favorite units in the game this year. I don't need a Brave Caeda quite yet, although I still might throw a few towards her anyway. Matthew was robbed, and hopefully him placing in the top 10 or 5 will send a message. You have my votes, probably five votes, but still. In regards to the banner, it was highway robbery for me. I really wanted Hector because A) I love him and Eliwood so much and B) It's freaking Wada art. Love her work, it's always stunning. Barely managed to scrape enough orbs to spark my only five star, Hector. Still love him though!

I'll be doing everything I can to push for Linoan in CYL9. She was in the top 10 Thracia 776 characters last year and I just hope that IntSys listens and that the next FE5 banner gives her the star treatment. I plan to save a couple votes for Clarine, whose in the same situation as Matthew with no alts (and not even a resplendent) for 9 years :( I love her so much. I will save a vote for Matthew too! As for this banner, I'm so happy that Oswin and Uther are finally home. I'll never be sad about a new Hector, no matter how overexposed he is. But Leila was a bit of an eyeroll for me especially since we just got rearmed Sothe. It hurts knowing that they needed a female character for the banner, but passed up on an opportunity like a rearmed staff Serra even though she suits an Ostia banner perfectly.
Agreed completely, I would have much preferred Serra since she doesn't have anything else, and we only have one rearmed staff so far... But thank you so much for being willing to spend a vote on Matthew! Every vote counts, after all. :) Hopefully Clarine gets something too--I'm so shocked that she and Klein have been ignored as much as they have. Stay strong!
I already knew I was going to give Matthew a couple votes for CYL but your Reddit posts really solidified it for me 😂 I'm thinking I'll do two for him, my one mandatory vote for Kieran until he gets in, and then the rest for Sigurd :) I'll gladly support the Matthew army since the choices IS makes for alts is just baffling sometimes 😭

I'm amazed at your passion for Matthew. It is really heartbreaking to see your favorites not getting alt or not even getting to the game. In my case, I'm like that to my Dart, Kishuna and Ephidel being still not in the game; OG Linus getting Resplendent or a sword alt, and Lloyd not getting Resplendent either; and Kaze still not having his alt or Resplendent in the game. But oh well. I'll also support your Matthew campaign in CYL9. Hopefully IS will notice it and give him an alt. Also summoned in this banner and got all units (including a another copy of Rune even tho he's free)
There are so many characters who still deserve to be in the game or receive alts. Thank you so much for supporting my Matthew for CYL9 campaign; it really means so much to me. ^^
No need to apologize, i understand how we have many missing units or even ones with no Alts, i just hope FEH can see how everyone is searching for a shiny new alt. I myself am a Lyn fan, but i can see how many she have in the game, we need the others to give them that moment to shine and get something new. I feel your energy so much. “Let’s do this I guess” 😭 ~1 minute. Ooh, last merge, congrats! I think I’m mid-merge for my Inigo. I don’t think I’ve pulled +spd on him yet, though. ~5 minutes. I feel that. I like spending my orbs on the right occasion. But I like hoarding my orbs more. I’ve been asked like, “do you summon ever?” After seeing my orb count. And it’s like, yeah, I do! But I also can’t wait for chatacters I love like Hubert, Jeritza, Jill, Soleil and more to get alts! ~6 minutes. Mathew being an asset hero would be neat. Would’ve been able to +10 merge him out of favoritism and for “meta” skill duplicating too. ~10 minutes ooooh. CYL rallying is fun. And I don’t think I’d be able to convince say, other Hubert fans to rally. Hubert himself ranks around ~50th place sorta consistently, which is around the level of popularity as characters like Berkut and Petra,, both of whom have at least an alt. Do hope that means Hubert can get something one of these years.. (he’s a 3h character, but it’s likely he gets overlooked as IS doesn’t seem to like him) ~12-13 minutes. I’ll probably spread my votes around a few of my favorites. I only really think Ivy has a good shot at winning.. I want to maybe rally for Dorothea at one point, but since she got her base this year I’m not sure that’d go anywhere despite her being popular. ~14 “Inigo? No.” Felttt ~15 typing out Mathew is very funny! Made me smile. ~17 minutes. I do like the idea of sparking the dagger to give to Leila. (Also for Mathew alt? Hopefully one day?? If you hoard the skills for long enough..) ~18 minutes. That’s so cute. I don’t usually pay attention to traits outside of stats and hoarding fruits. ~19 minutes. Supporting Leila- hahaha, aww- I do hope your campaign goes well.. maybe Mathew get more votes than Leila. Maybe that’ll mean something? I hope.
Thanks very much for sharing your reactions to my whole video! Very sweet of you. But you know what the crazy thing is? Matthew does WAY better on CYL than Leila does. Results from last year had Matthew with 307 votes while Leila only had 73. He's significantly more popular, but IS just refuses to acknowledge him, and it makes me want to cry. If you could help out with my campaign at all, I would be highly appreciative. :) Either way, thanks for watching and commenting!

@@readtherules7101 Yes, exactly! Since you haven't played their game, you might not even know... Leila's actually an NPC who's only in a handful of scenes. While Matthew is a playable character who is with you for almost the entire story. He's actually a fan favorite from the game but has been completely ignored. XP
When I saw this I was so upset for you. I somewhat know how you feel too, I’ve been waiting for a proper/modern Sakura alt for going on 6 years and to see her be a backup unit for the second time (on a Hoshidan banner no less!) really killed my excitement for summoning. I know it’s not the same though and I’m definitely rooting for Matthew and Serra alts!
The character I wanted to win CYL that had a chance just did (and is now the most hated unit in the game lol, but I'll have fun while someone I like is busted), so I'll likely spare a vote for Matthew for CYL9.
Ngl, this is the banner that made me quit FEH. I've been waiting since almost day 1 for them to add Geitz, but he gets overlooked every time in favor of OCs and/or lazy, underwhelming alts of characters that already have the monopoly on them. Like I've barely enjoyed playing this year anyway but I always held out hope that he'd get added one day. I just can't huff the copium for another year, especially since it feels like the story's about to end anyway.
I'm so sorry that you've had to go so long without Geitz... I'm so tired of the OCs taking up spaces that could go to characters from the other games. Even if you're not playing anymore, is there any chance you'd be willing to help me out with my Matthew CYL crusade? I get it if you're too burned out from the game to engage with it at all, but if you wouldn't mind voting for him, I would really, really appreciate it. :)
