I'm glad that we're getting a new Lechmere T station since the above East Cambridge area sure brings back fond memories of my fun Cambridgeside Galleria shopping & dining trips (i.e. Early OCT '18), respectively. Ditto for both my fun Springboard & JBBBS Charles Riverboat (i.e. Mid-SEP '17) cruises too. Beth Budner, Auburndale!
If I understood correctly from the last couple of BSRA meetings that we had (had to cancel from April 4, 2020 through at least June 6, 2020, and probably beyond), Science Park itself will remain unchanged, but they will rebuild at least some of the Lechmere Viaduct between there and Lechmere (more than just where the new elevated structure will join in). That is one of the reasons the line will be shut down for a couple of years while they patch it in (unlike Chicago where as far as I know they had minimal shutdown time when they patched in the new Elevated line to Midway (now the Orange Line) in October 1993.

3802 was one of the two original pilot cars delivered in 1998.
3889 was assembled and delivered in December 2007!
Lechmere is one of my favorite stations
Although I barely ever saw the old Lechmere station, i think it was so much better, and they should have kept it as a small train yard or something.
