The memory of dancing to Juice Newton singing this in 1982 is etched in my memory. She was playing a college bar in Madison WI. For whatever reason, maybe that Madison wasn't a big country music town, there wasn't a huge crowd and fewer still on the dance floor. I danced by myself to every one of her/their songs, often the only person on the dance floor. like a private show by Juice Newton for me. To anyone else this is probably boring, but to me it was and still is unforgettable. I am glad people still appreciate her music.

80s music
@@Joanne-gt1bo Except that it's 60s music. Merrilee Rush circa 1968. This is a cover. A good cover.
Ahhh takes me back to the wonderful 80's
I still remember the very first time I heard this song and I instantly loved it . . . I was all of 7 years old at the time . . . What a blessing it is to have grown up in the best decade of all time, I would give ANYTHING to do it all over again !!!🙏❤️🇺🇲😎
Amo esta cancion. la repito como 40 veces, it´s beautifull.
Esta le Reclama a Deadpool
This song breaks 💔 and heals my heart at the same time.
Played this song to my Nan who had full blown dementia, she couldn't remember who I was, but remembered and sang all the words.
Comedian Freddy Lewis once sang a rousing rendition of this song at The Holy City Zoo back in '82. That night he signed autographs as "Juice Lewis."
I fell in love with this song the first time when Marilee Rush recorded it, and then all over again when Juice Newton covered it years later.
Listened to her when i was younger still listen to her and love that voice.
This song brings back so many good memories for me--havent heard it for years.love it!
Benicio del Toro in Reptile brought this haunting beautiful song back in my life …I love how much his character loves his wife🤎🧡🎃
the juice was an amazing perfomer with monkey fingers she mastered every string inst on the market and she sang as if she was talking ..bravo ..
I know her voice is amazing and unique. I had no idea that she is a multi-instrumentalist. Hope I can find a Bio here on UA-cam. 🎸
Every time I hear this song it reminds me of someone I was so in love with. Really I still am.
Hello Carol,, that's nice to hear from you.

Not here from a movie or series, here for the song and the love of it.
P.P. Arnold sang it better.
What's wrong with people coming from those?

All birds are Angels as being blessed with wings of Freedom. The 3 B's Birds, Butterflies and Bees.

One of My Favorites. She sings like an Angel.
Yes. One of my personal favorites, too :-)
Here because of Promising Young Woman 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A maiden refusing a man to walk her home, instead asking him to just endow her with courage to face the dawn on her walk back home with a gentle touch on the cheek and some kind words. What a beautiful portrayal of positive strong femininity!
I'm Here because of Reddington and Anne
Me too
Me too :)

ANGEL OF THE MORNING -
There'll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can't bind your heart.
And there's no need to take a stand
For it was I who chose to start.
I see no need to take me home,
I'm old enough to face the dawn.
Just call me angel of the morning angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby.
Just call me angel of the morning angel
Then slowly turn away from me.
Maybe the sun's light will be dim
And it won't matter anyhow.
If morning's echo says we ve sinned,
Well, it was what I wanted now.
And if we're the victims of the night,
I won't be blinded by light.
Just call me angel of the morning angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby.
Just call me angel of the morning angel
Then slowly turn away,
I won't beg you to stay with me
Through the tears of the day,
Of the years, baby baby baby.
Just call me angel of the morning angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby.
Margaret Gaskell There were never any strings to bind my hands
And her love was always cloaked so my heart never had a chance
It was I who took the stand
And it was I who chose to start
We were both single and free so it didn’t matter who’s place it was
When your both fifty the dawn doesn’t scare you
Oh she was the angel of my morning alright
And I have never been blinded by a light so bright
And it was definitely what I wanted now
I will forever wonder why she couldn’t be content with me.
@@keithmcintyre588 ok
I came across this song on UA-cam and had forgotten that she had such an awesome voice!!! I've never seen anyone who could hold a note as long as she can!! I'll be getting a CD of hers!!! I'm in love with her voice!!!
Hello Kathy,, that's nice to hear from you
Is this your favorite song ?
How can so many people have never heard this song before? It's one of those songs that is played over mall speakers and elevators and stuff.
+Aiden Raccoon I have heard of the tune before, but fuckin A the opening of Deadpool and this song brought a renewed love to it. Much like Wayne's World did with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody back when that movie came out.
I was wondering how long it would take to find a comment that didn't relate to Deadpool
+Tyler Moore hi babe how are you doing this weekend
I've heard this before. My mom use to sing this to me every morning when I was 4. But I've always found myself listening to shaggy's version.
+John Mike It's funny. I didn't even know about this song until about a few months ago. I used to work at my local grocery store and they would play "older" country music. This was one of the songs they would play. I became so obsessed with this song especially after finding out the name of this song. I have listened to this song dozens of times. Ironically, I haven't seen "Deadpool."
EXCELLENT, SIMPLY EXCELLENT
Thank you :-)
Beautiful!!
Thank you :-)
Donna Kukka l like this song its jams ..
Beyond beautiful. A friend of mine had me blare it for her after her sister tried to kill herself. Don't know whether to smile or cry. 😢😢
Two Angels in one Morning , Must be my Lucky Day.
Juice, gracias por esta canción, no aabws cuántas veces la escucho al día y no me cansa y aburre. Es una canción muy hermosa más la música y la fuerza con que la cantas. Gracias
