Glad you are safe on day 270. Let us hope that war ends before day 300. Stay safe. As always a beautiful knife. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful creation with us.
You have got to be one of the best people in the world at making canister Damascus. I have heard from a talented blacksmith here where I live that he does not like forging it. Says it is difficult and prone to unwanted complications. These are my all time favorite uploads that you do and the patterns are amazing.
I love the blade geometry you have going on there, with the clearly delineated lines between the point and belly of the blade. Looks super crisp and clean
I always love seeing your beautiful blades being made, hope you are doing well and are safe. also I don't know if anyone else saw it, but can you see the smiley face at 1:21 :)
For the people wondering why he drilled a hole in the back of the canister before forging is because air can become trapped in there and then when it gets squished it can pop and send molten metal all over the shop and possibly you
Another beautiful knife. Really enjoyed the kukri shaped blade. To know we all wishing you strength, health, and peace. Much love and respect from Chicago USA
I haven't been able to forge steel for some years now due to a spine injury, and your channel really helps me feel like I am still connected to blacksmithing and it means a lot to me, thank you.
Plus the shape is very nice, and the etching of the makers mark in the blade using electrolysis as well, to get a nice deep etch with matt finish on the base. All it needs now is to have a tiny bit of tinted glaze to fill it up back to the surface.
I think this might be one of my favorites of the blades you've made. The patter is so delicatge, so beautiful, and so subtle...plus the design and shape of the blade itself...amazing.
Seeing a new video from you remains the highlight of my morning-so happy to see you’re still safe and working! The knife is beautiful-almost a kukri shape to the blade! I just love the moment where you finish the last couple steps and the pattern seems to explode out of the metal.
Love your work. My favorite part is the reveal after etching. This was a special blade! My dog-baby and I grew sunflowers (also the state flower in Kansas), and pray around the shrine to Gaia we have in our backyard for peace for your nation. Slava Ukraine!
The blade looks alive... Beautiful, and masterful. Always a joy watching your masterpieces come to life. Continue to be safe, and soon may peace return, and the conflict end.

You inspired me to start making knifes myself, Im 23 I made a coal forge out of bricks and just finished my first 5 knifes. Thank you for you dedication to the craft and for sharing your work to inspire others.
Amazing!!! So glad you are safe and still making blades. My four year old son and I love watching you videos and watch one every night before he goes to sleep. Keep up the amazing work and stay safe!!
Amazing blade. I love the kind of hamone that the edge has with that higher carbon steel you threw into the mix. I admire your work and wish to someday have the skill (and money) to do al of the cool stuff you do. Stay safe over there friend.
It is always a joy to see a new video from you. This knife reminds me of the one you made from the armor-piercing projectile. I'm glad that you are safe and well, I hope that Ukraine is soon victorious over the Russian invaders and can begin to rebuild.

Love how this man is not moving the blade while cooling down after heat treating. Actual science behind it shows it reduces the risk of bending the knife as moving the blade too much in oil could cool down the blade on one side faster than the other side.
From the devastation seen on news media accounts of the turmoil in your country, it's amazing you still have access to gas and electric utilities, for the essential things in life. Here's praying peace and tranquility come to you and your countrymen very soon. 🙏🏽
