Hi Antoine. So glad to hear you are doing so well from your musical pursuits and I hope your health is better. I really miss your Ambient Guitar Academy and hope you are able to resurrect it in some form in the future.
Hey Antoine.... hope you're in good health, and look forward to you opening up the membership site again. I really enjoyed being a part of the community you created🎶
Thanks Antoine! I have been struggling to figure out how to increase my income as a guitar teacher. I have some courses that have gained no traction and have returned to Graham's program. You inspire me. Thank you
Glad to see you again, Tony! You've been covering a lot of Rush lately on the channel, that's cool! I just made a Rush video too last week. Thanks for the nice comments!
Hi Antoine, I have watched you progress from under 10K subscribers to where you are today, with obvious dedication and persistence. Some of my favorite content over that time has been your expert creation of multiple layers using a looper. You make it look so easy, but as I have learned, it is not so simple. Congrats on your continued success. Randal
Very cool, Antoine. The significant thing to me is that your work aligns with what you love and are passionate about. Thank you for the interesting content you make, I've learned useful things from your videos and am frequently inspired by them. Ambient is my jam and you've helped me head in the right direction and develop myself. I had no idea you also played in a band - I'll be looking around on Spotify now.
Such an inspiration Antoine, thanks for being so transparent. I think a big key to what you said is “be seen”. I’ve started putting myself out there a little more, a few videos(that suck), going to local shows and events and meeting people. Forming connections is important.
Totally! And it's very hard to do that for introverts, but it must be done in some shape or form. Whether it's pushing past the fear to publish that video, or just reaching out by sending an email (I formed most of my connections online, so it's also very possible!).
Hey Andre! First time seeing your channel. Very nice! Congrats on those results after a year, that is fantastic! You're going to have the same problem I did at first: positioning yourself as a teacher to be able to get better results at selling courses. Just like I had my biggest numbers with guitar pedal reviews on the channel, you are dominating the guitar review space, but those kinds of viewers are not there to learn techniques or theory or even learn with you. The good news is that you can always leverage your existing audience to do just that by posting more and more high quality lessons frequently. It's a multi-year plan, because you gotta keep doing what UA-cam rewards you for to grow the channel and the audience, so you can't just pull the plug on guitar reviews suddenly. I succeeded in taking what was basically a pedal demo channel to a guitar education channel in a few years (even though I do more than that on my channel) which allows me to sell more courses to the right people. Good luck with your channel, and I'll keep an eye on it!
@@AntoineMichaudGuitarLoopingthat’s exactly what I’m working on now. The funny thing is, the better the reviews get, the less time I have to record lessons, but I’ll have to work out the balance. Before the end of the year I’m trying to do 2 lessons a month along with 4 reviews per months and hopefully 1 performance per month. I think that would be the perfect balance for me.
Wow, I'm surprised to hear that you went from making "not enough" to consider it a full time living, to making 6 figures in just a matter of a couple years. And only working 20-25 hours a week sounds like a dream even regardless of being financially well-off! Happy for you man.
Thank you! It helped a lot that I had already begun building an audience in 2012 and started being serious about earning a living and monetizing only in 2018. I had a head start. The first 1k subscribers and then 10k subscribers are the hardest, and then everything snowballs from there! So considering where I was, it is not surprising that I was able to pull that off by doing the right things :-)
Salut Antoine ! Keep it up.
Bonne question!

Very inspirational and insightful, thank you so much for sharing this so transparently with us!
You are so welcome!

Very inspiring! I’m taking notes :)
Woah hey Andre! Didn’t expect to see you here lol

Cool! What are your thoughts on A.I.?
I'm usually not an early adopter. I have not dabbled with it yet, but I'm sure I will someday if I can save time with it for some tasks.
Merci de voter générosité, Antoine!🙏❤
Thanks! Following Graham C has helped a lot for online business and I know its helped you. I’m not in his monthly coaching program yet though
Yes, he's been the best mentor for me! Can't thank him enough for his guidance.
#11: product placement of gray t-shirts! ;-)
Oh yeah! Give me that sponsor any time 😉

Non, je n'ai pas assez d'indices pour te replacer! Qui es-tu? :)
Alexandre Cloutier haha.
lol, feel free to send me some of those +$100 an hour students. :) Glad you are doing well, you are a good guy!
Nice, now you can finally afford your grocery bills in today's upside down world if you know what i mean.
Will you be my manager? Lol😂
Being a manager? Well, that would be my 11th stream of income 😂
