This things awesome. I used the magnet attachment to pull out a pushrod that I dropped inside an oil well on my hemi, and also the cable is very long so using it is easy. The camera and screen are clear and bright. Not the highest definition in terms of videos, but it does the job and if you dont think you need an endoscope as a mechanic, the day will come where you will need it.
I just got one from my grandson for xmas. It's really neat. I have many uses for it. Mine is an updated version that looks the same as your's. Mine actually has two cameras on the the end of the probe. One is end facing and the other is side facing. You can choose either one or both. When you do both, you get a split screen so one screen is looking forward and the other side of the screen is looking 90 degrees to the side.
I remember back when these things cost in the thousands of dollars. Now you don't need a second job to get one. You can use your lunch money. Ha Ha

It would be a nice addition if we could sync it to our computer and view a live feed or at a minimum see the unit on my laptop. Then be able to directly download or view my files. This would avoid having to remove the micro sim card.
I’m a plumber (somewhat/lolz), and a gun guy. I bought this to check a pipe in the slab, and see which way it is running, without actually having to cut the person I’m performing the work for’s slab. The light is bright to the eye, but the screen is very dark. However, the clarity of the picture is impressive. I have a cut in the tip of my finger. The naked eye (of mine) doesn’t notice the dirt in it. This camera is not missing it whatsoever. I haven’t stuck it down murky water yet, but I’ll definitely update this comment. If only for the heck of it, it’s definitely worth 58 bucks.
Just looked down the barrel of my edc. You can easily see the twists, scale, a hair, and the fact that I need to clean it like urgently.
Yes it works very well. Depstech is a great brand when it comes to endoscopes.
Thanks for making the video. I'm having trouble figuring out how to attach the little custom tips to the end of the camera unit. Do you know how that works? Not covered in the manual evidently. Thanks for any help

I've got a buddy that works for snap-on industrial (different than the truck that comes to your shop) and occasionally I can get demo items for 1/2 price so thats helpful.
I got a really nice borescope from him for about 600$ and it's great.
The wife got me one of these for Xmas, and it's pretty darn good if I want to compare them,im impressed.

I see detailed steps in the QA in listing. "From live camera, hold “ok” center button down until pictures come up. Select photo, click on menu, option to “delete” or “delete all” will come up, press “ok” center button to select “delete”, it will ask to cancel or ok, use (-) minus arrow button to select “ok”, hit “ok” center button to select ok, photo will be deleted."
