Now i know to replace my rear stabilizer bushings thank you, when i turn left im getting a rubbing noise from the rear end any suggestions, have already changed diff .?
Are you going to film this replacement to show DIY? My 2003 E has had this problem for years.. and now really noisy.. I’m sure this needs to be replaced on mine too. Thanks you.
I have another video of how to replace the mounts . Joshua mounts were really bad after replacing the strut mounts and the axles , the element runs smooths
I have an element Halloween horror story my alternator went, it killed my battery. luckily my battery is still under 100% warranty so I got that replaced for free. But when I started taking everything apart to get tested. I found out my fans had no bolts in them, so it made it easy to take out to access other areas then I removed the battery and the housing I discovered the welds have rusted off like I was holding a piece of Elmer's glue in my hand so then I decided to change the thermostat since I could get to it. took wayyyy to long but I got it back on (such horrible placement) Then since all the paint is chipping off the engine I was cleaning it up and then I decided to change the spark plugs, when I got to the spark plugs I saw there were NO BOLTS holding in the boots for the spark plugs....
I am currently on the hunt for a good deal on an alternator and advance auto parts seems to have the best pricing as far as an easy pickup. I am afraid to go used (not remanufactured but used) I don't want to have to do this again for awhile. Before this happened I was in the middle or replacing the ignition switch, keys and dreading replacing the door locks i also upgraded all dash and climate control lights with led and painted all my dash pieces for a new look
so as of now i need to install a battery, alternator, plugs, fans, all dash components and plastic, muffler, rear struts, front upper control arm bar, trailer wiring, additional 12v port and plugs and figure out how to properly clean and repaint the engine without having to remove it. OHH and how to properly and safely fix all the major rust in the engine bay. at this point im starting to think i should sell it for parts and buy another one lol
Just went out and checked the shock mounts on my E, no luck, they look to be in great shape like everything else in my suspension lol. But I get a vibration every time Im accelerating between around 20 and 30 mph, especially when going up hills, then it smooths out and goes away. I just cant figure it out. I even swapped out the rims and tires thinking that was the issue, but its still there. I love this thing, but this problem is making me nuts lol
@@Element_lifestyle Thanks for the reply, Ive got the 5 speed, so maybe the axles then (its not gear specific, just happens in that speed range)? The boots look to be in good shape and theres no grease escaping around them. Can they get out of balance, or do the joints just start wearing out? Any good way to test them to know for sure
@@matthewhannon2509 even that the boots looks good still you can have play on the inner part of the axle where the axle rollers is. If problem is on acceleration then sound like a bad axle
All...check that your inboard CV joints are tight and not leaking. Also, if you do have to replace your axles, ONLY replace with OEM or remans made from OEM Honda cores. I had this issue and it was due to crappy aftermarket and remanufactured axles..
Thank you for this video. I'm having these exact symptoms in my 07 Element.

I got 4 new struts for less than $300 for mine. Much quieter now

i really really wish Miguel lived closer to me lol. If anyone is in the cleveland area hit me up if you are bored and want to help a fellow elemental!
Why is there a loud hissing noise when I accelerate on my 2006 honda element? It's coming from the passenger side.
vtec lol
Can I replace just the strut mount without replacing struts?
Yes you can only replace the mounts. Buy it OEM around $60 a piece online
Can you show what movement to expect from a good strut mount? Thanks!
No movement at all so nothing to show.

Same happening to me it started between 25 to 30 now its from 25 to 50 for months now...
Drives me crazy!
Lol
Welcome to the eclub, I guess...
🤣
That can be your axles, also some people took care of that vibration by doing a transmission fluid replace and trans filter for AT transmission
