Nobody can write a love song as heavy as Black Sabbath. And Rick Wakeman (virtuoso keyboardist for the band Yes) was asked to lend his talents to this song.
Sorry Guys, it’s Rick Wakeman …
@Humb7757 sorry my mistake
Airplay beats+Black sabbath =Good times
totally agree, I look forward to it especially when I know it's a song I love.
Seriously only one of the truly honest and good things in the whole world right now.
Not one bad song on this album! For me, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath should be up there with the All-Time classic albums in Rock History.
For me, their first 6 albums should be in the Smithsonian as the pinnacle of a music genre, classic heavy metal. No one did it better.
They topped themselves on this album. Then they somehow managed to come up with Sabotage? 'Nuff said.
You can’t beat reactors who know their shit. Thanks guys, you make me feel like I’m listening to these songs fresh all over again.
The jam with Rick Wakeman is as good as it gets!
I was looking to see if anyone mentioned it. Wakeman loves the tune. I read some interview with him.
The Ward is my Shepherd! 🤘
Sappy bubble gum lyrics on top of a badass tune with many winding turns. And Rick Wakeman on keyboards to take it to another level.
Side two superb ending with Spiral Architect
What I love about you guys is not only your intelligence but also your enthusiasm and love of the music.
I’ve said this Prior, but in Ozzy ‘s book he said they wanted to be a jazz band but their van wasn’t big enough for the instruments. You can hear the jazz influences often in their music!!
Thankfully fate intervened and we have all these amazing albums. 🏄♂️
You’re riding the Sabbath peak and that peak is through the stratosphere!
For me in this song the star is Geezer, you have to pay attention a little more in the bass, but after all they are all killing it, love your reactions! Cheers from argentina
Still some more incredible songs to go. This album is so fire.
Black Sabbath were so much more than just heavy metal, as you’re discovering. This album is especially experimental and full of surprises. Great reaction, thanks!
My favorite tune off my favorites Sabbath album. Good job.
You can't say I didn't warn you. 😊
You guys always make me smile. Shout out to other life-long Sabbath fans who have caught on to these guys. My favorite reactors when it comes to Black Sabbath, and I've pretty much seen them all.
Had the first album a week after it came out for the album cover, that cover haunts to this very day along with the music within. Sabbath reactions are almost always positive, music that stands the test of time. 🎸
How awesome was that! Sabbath at the peak of their musical prowess, that album, like the previous 4, is an all time classic. More to come, enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
💯 Vol 4 & SBS
Perfect song by the masters of Metal. Love it.
(I had this on 8 Track:))
This kind of music just makes me feel good and gives me hope 🤘
Most people call out War Pigs or Paranoid or N.I.B. or Ironman but THIS (and THE WRIT) are MY fave Sabbath tracks.
Thanks, guys. This whole album is tops.
Some of Ozzy's best vocals are on this record and the next one! He really seemed to be "IN the zone" during the mid 70s..
What a Band!!!!!!
Bought the vinyl, Bought the cd,and now I listen to you guys, playing it on UA-cam.
Beautiful, Thanks verry much. 👍😁
Finally, a love song
Loving these Sabbath reactions 🤘
Got that swagger boy
SPOT ON! How weird, cause that’s the EXACT word I’ve always used to describe this tune! 😂
Next one is going to knock you out. One of their best. Top 3 for sure. Lyrics top 3 also.
Nice but next, killing yourself to live is my 2nd fav on album after sabbath bloody sabbath!!!
Fluff to chaos. Bill got the swing. Ozzy and Thelma. Rick wakeman on keys. Banger
My favorite Sabbath song!!
Just another great reaction to another great song from another great album from the greatest band of all time
I SAID TO MYSELF, THEY'RE GONNA PICK UP WHERE THEY LEFT OFF ON BLOODY ON MONDAY, SOMEHOW I KNEWWWWW IT LAH & CHE!👍😊FIRE AFTER FLUFF HUH GUYS? LOL💯
Fire!!!
Rick Wakeman from Yes on synth and piano. Supposedly Wakeman was next door doing Tales from Topographic Oceans and was totally fed up w/ the pretentiousness of that album, wanted to hang out, drink some beers, and play with some down to earth rocker folks (the Sab boys from Birmingham). Nice extra sizzle on top of a great song.
Great tune. Wore it out!
One of my favorite Sabbath tunes!!!
PURE 🔥
Love the happy and reckless intro with the sudden change to that slowed down funk groove with Rick Wakeman from YES on keys.
Then the bonus funky jam with extended vamping till it just falls apart at the end.
One of (if not THE) only straightforward love songs from the Sabbath here, the kinda song that’ll get rocker couples stopping to shoot eyes at each other.
“Hold up, girl.. c’mere let me look at you a minute..” 😜
More proof why Bill Ward is my favourite Drummer of all time ever. Ever with the fact that he says he’s not a Drummer.
Rick was brought in to play on the song as his band Yes was recording in the neighbour studio. Another fun fact is, that Bonzo (Zep and Sabbath were close friends) wanted to play the drum part on this one :D
You can’t miss that ending groove, it’s slamming you right over the head!
Sabbath can do it anyway you want it. Masters of their craft! Too busy getting high and rockin out to pay attention in school. Don't think I'd change a thing.
Consider doing the live version of “killing yourself to live” at California Jam…amazing performance and Tony Iommi with a clean shave is a rare sight 😂
IMO the most upbeat song by them. And it really works!
Guy's what are you doing to me I've just in the last 20 min had an eargasm Sabbath & Thin Lizzy on the same day, it doesn't get any better than that.
There you go the most feel good sabbath song ever
Awesome review guys Rick Wakeman from yes was playing keyboards
Yea great song for sure ..I have been listening to this album on a factory made cassette that sounds great..
Nobody can switch it up like Sabbath
Peak Sab4. This excellence continues through Sabotage.
A SABBATH I0VE S0NG, I0I ITS GREAT WHEN I HEAR Y0U TAIK 0F THEIR VERSITiIiTY AND 0VERAII TAENT
Live versions of this classic usually morphed into 3-part jams that incorporated other Sabbath tracks. But this studio version stands alone. Great stuff.
My favorite Sabbath Album... I stole the cassette from my step dad... listened to it till it worn down so badly... such a huge influence of in my life... I was curious because of the cover hahaha... but after really hearing the music and the lyrics ... uffff Sabbath is just pure energy...
There it is!
Spring of 95 bought the cassette, at 16 years of age. I didnt have a full Sabbath album until then but I ve heard a lot of their hits through Ozzys Speak of thw devil. I bought it only because I didn't know any song of the album, and until today is my favourite album of theirs.
Rick Wakeman was drinking buddies with Sabbath and I love his addition of the keys into any Sabbath tune but particularly this one!
1st!.....Another Sabbath nailer! Nice AP! ...☠️☘️
Was waiting for this!! Y'all gotta get back to some Blue Oyster Cult, too. "Harvester of Eyes", "Hot Rails To Hell", "Flaming Telepaths" and "Subhuman" are rockin' tracks.
Even more so the live versions from "On Your Feet or On Your Knees."
Greatness. Cant wait for the reactions to the Dio, Gillan and Martin eras of the band.
I told you guys!!! Everybody was putting this album down and you guys wouldn't like it!!! Haha!!! I told you!!!! More great ones before this album is through!!! Thanks guys for proving me right!!! I love Sabbath, and definately one of my favorite albums.
I have several Black Sabbath albums on vinyl and I consider this one to be their best along with Paranoid
You could never take the Birmingham out of Black Sabbath - literally the middle of England, it was surrounded by every sound in the country. A British/Irish guitar sound opens the track. Might have been one of his Laney amps, but Tony gets a Vox 30 sound for a bouncy riff that could have been a Yardbirds player, Rory Gallagher, Brian May, Thin Lizzy w/Gary Moore .. what a sound.
Black Sabbath 1968-eternity🤘
Best Sabbath Album
A lot of drummers that came out in the 60’s. came from a Jazz background.
YEESSSSS MORE SABBATH Laa and Chee!
Wow, that really reminded me of Deep Purple once the drums kicked in.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Symptom of the Universe PLEEEEEASE....
I saw them live 17 times MSG was the bomb
great review!, thanks. this one definitely goes in the Sab top 5. That is Rick Wakeman on the keyboard, from Yes.
Great reaction guys! I love that you're doing my favorite Sabbath album, keep it going! 🤘👍
What a song!!
Speechless
The song was supposed to fade out earlier, But Ozzy kept laying vocal shouts out so they kept jamming.
Love this , thanks guys.
Im one of those that bought this album and enjoyed some weed with it. But to be honest. I bought a lot of their albums and smoked.
So many different tempo's and styles all in one song. They do it all the time, why? because they are Black Sabbath...
I hope you guys to react to the entire Black Sabbath discography, including the albuns without Ozzy or Dio on vocals.
funky jazz blues hard rock =)
Sincere thanks guys! I was a huge fan of Sabbath with Ozzy from 15-25, then got into Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio. Since you started tracking all the Ozzy records, I’m waaay back into them! Thanks guys! You are bring back the lost days of my youth with this original Sabbath material. Laa and Chee rule the reaction videos!
Thanks!
GREAT reaction gents!! I've been waiting for this - and you didn't disappoint.
This one places in my top 5 Sabbath tunes (N.I.B. being #1)! It has such a groove to it, impossible not to get sucked in! Everyone was firing on all cylinders here. I love that psychedelic middle 8 section with the keys - so un-Sabbath like, but it works so well!
It's unfortunate that this track isn't more well known - cause it's a banger in all respects! Cheers.
thanks you two for keeping on..
This bluesy paean to Geezer’s then-girlfriend had its lyrical origins in Ozzy repeating porno dialogue, to his bandmate’s amusement. Rick Wakeman charged Sabbath a ‘fee’ of two pints of Director’s bitter for his incandescent piano playing. - Loudersound
Wakeman did it for the beer, legend.
This is a little pop for Sabbath. Their "happy" album. Still Sabbath. Some great tunes.
Keep them coming
I need more floyd.. cheers guys reaction request, pink floyd, live pulse show ,song Sorrow video remastered, cheers 😂❤
I watched your favorite Led Zeppelin albuns/songs video and the list are too similar, i have the impression that in Black Sabbath universe, you guys will have a really different list.
Great reaction, cheers from Portugal
Tony Iommi writing classic after classic.
Yes, he should be in the songwriting Hall of Fame!
Nobody better than the AirPlay beat boys and nonody Riffs like BS!
Aw hell
Great reaction gentleman. This is the reason why Black Sabbath is one of the 🐐. The ability to infuse there love for Jazz into rock is remarkable. This is one of my favorite albums from the great Sabbath machine. Great bands play who they are. Sabbath Zeppelin Beatles Pink Floyd Stones The Who. They play what their heart is they play all of there influences that they grew up with. Whether it’s Jazz Blues Rock they play with all of there heart and soul. Love what you guys are doing keep up the phenomenal work La and Che. Black Pumas it’s been a while since I requested it a real long time. I know you are very busy. I maybe be wrong? , but I really think you will like this newer band.
We did the Black Puma. Just hasn’t been edited yet. Did you see the Moby **** reaction?
@@AirplayBeats yes sir it was very good. What did you really think of it?
@@membysteph64 it was cool. We reacted to a live Moby a long time ago so we knew what to expect already.
Check out the Sabbath album Heaven and Hell!
Heavy Metal piano Laa and Chee!
I enjoy watching you guys and your reactions lol Would you guys do Aldo Nova Fantasy or Monkey On Your Back and Warren Zevon needs some love lol
Rolling Stones - Emotional Rescue
Please please please Paul Hardcastle..19. Still revelant today
Sorry to go off topic. I didn't know you reacted to movies. "Tommy" is a wild ride. Pete Townsend has quite the imagination. A friend managed a small indie theatre where I grew up. My Dad was Chief of Police at the time. One of the patrolmen caught me watching R-rated "Lisztomania" and told my Dad. I was grounded. I only saw about 10 minutes of it! Was busy
Y'ALL NEED TO DO A LISTEN TO ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS FROM THE 80S FROM JOE WALSH........ "I. L. B. T'S" !!!! WHO KNOWS THIS SONG AND HOW GREAT IT IS ?!?!?!?
