- Showcasing my entire Jak and Daxter collection so far to celebrate Jak Month! I've been collecting Jak and Daxter items for over 3 years now, and am very proud of what I've achieved so far. I hope you enjoy the showcase!
Almost everything in this video is documented on the Jak and Daxter Archive, where everyone has access to high quality scans of each item, as well as the ability to download most of the discs in this video, like demos and soundtracks, and more!

I did not see the jak and daxter sackboy in your collection if I am not mistaken? I came across a pair a while ago, but I have zero info on them other than its sackboys, you got any clue?
@@Beautifulstories. They're actually quite expensive, which is why I don't have them. They released a bunch of Sackboy figures like it for other Sony characters, but I'm not sure why or how they were released
@@PowercellZeke really? The guy I bought them from said he got them from a friend of his who worked for sony and they were sent to business relations and family members as relation gifts. Now I am curious, how expensive are they?

I've seen videos all the time on UA-cam where people do nothing but take their phone camera and scan it on a blurry dimly lit room, I especially appreciate all of the scans you did for the boxes and cover art
Haha thanks mate. The filming of this video was a massive pain, and wasn't done very professional at all, but I'm glad it turned out ok. The scans for the website are super important for me though. Preservation is super important, which is why I started the website, and want to document the items as high quality as possible

20:11 When I bought Jak X black label in PAL-region back then, I got Trilogy DVD inside it. A friend who had Jak X also had that disc. I think they feature that as bonus for people who haven't played earlier instalments to get up to speed about story and get them hooked to play more Jak & Daxter!
I love this game quite allot too, like literally recommended it to a friend yest-Er-day… I unintentionally won’t go a week without at some point jamming out to music from Jak or R and C

BTW anyone else feel like they had mixed up the trinkets of Jak II and Jak 3's Limited Run Games' collections? Like it would've made more sense to lump the gun with Jak II and the seal of Mar with Jak 3.
Originally, Jak 3 was going to have a Metal Head Skull Gem as the trinket, but I think they were having production trouble with it, so they changed it. I think the Seal of Mar still fits Jak 2, but I see why you feel that way
Love this Collection!!! I'm a big Jak and Daxter fan myself! Jak II celebrates its 20th Anniversary this November.
This is a cool video and you did a great job explaining each item. I was a huge Precursor fan and this video made me nostalgic

Awesome collection. No idea there was so much out there. I have the Daxter pre-release (1.0) UMD thing I got from a Cashies but that's about it.

@@PowercellZeke It was many years ago. I got my copy of Daxter for a dollar at a Dick Smith that was moving stock/closing down. I didn't even own a PSP at the time lol.
I remember Jak 3 being the first ever game I ever beat , so I have a lot of love for the franchise. I really love the skateboard 💙

I can’t believe I missed Jack month. I work for UPS as a dispatch supervisor, and they have been working me twelve and thirteen hour day’s. So most of my time goes to sleep. It’s hard to believe that I was only ten when Jack & Daxter came out, now I’m about to turn thirty. Congratulations on the amazing collection, let me know if I might be able to help you get some stuff from the states.

I'm super jealous of your collection. The series is so close to my heart and I've missed out on pretty much all of the stuff due to either poor timing or lack of funds but that's why I love UA-camrs like you to live through. XD

I know, it's really awesome! From what little info I've been able to find, these skateboard were prizes in a Playstation Magazine giveaway in the UK, and supposedly, only 50 were made. If that's true, it's easily the rarest thing in my collection, and yes, it did cost me a fortune haha

I suppose the Trilogy DVD in copies of Jak X were no pre order bonus but just some extra, the PAL region got. I remember getting the game back in the day, and I’ve got the DVD to this day on display.

Damn, im jealous ahahahah. I recently got myself a not for resale sleeve version of daxter which im pretty happy about, thats nothing at all compared to what you have here though lol. hoping to save enough money to waste on a statue some day, also really like that renegade skate board, never seen that in my life
Is that the little square sleeve with just the UMD? Yeah the statues can be dumb expensive, especially resales of the Gaming Heads statues, but I wish you luck mate!

I rented Jak and daxter 1 from Blockbuster as a kid, excited to play the game, got home, put the disc in and turn it on only to realize they gave me a demo copy. Had to wait until next day to go back and exchange it for the correct copy...

I would LOVE to get the Jak 1 and 2 GH statues, but they are stupid expensive haha. Hopefully one day!

I was obsessed over the series in 2005/2006, still kinda am lol. Had no idea so much of this existed then.
The Jak Completed Trilogy disk was given to Playstation Underground members back then. To be a PSU member you had to contribute to the community on the blog like section on the official forums. It was pretty easy to get in. They would send you free stuff like this plus demos, betas, and sometimes a shirt/hat. I'm sure this was how I got mine but could be misremembering. There was a Rogue Galaxy flag given out by the same method.

The Jak 2 Renegade Statue is simply an awesome media product! :D, I actually found one over at a dutch game store, sadly it was for display only, but it was still cool seeing it regardless.

Very neat collection! I am new to the channel and have been binge watching your videos. I have a question (for anyone who may know): Do you know anything about some alleged Diamond Select Toys Jak and Daxter action figures? I remember seeing product shots of them, but they must have been either cancelled or just really awesome customs.

Regarding the DVD in the Jak X game, i got the PAL black label game when I was a teenager, and the game came with the DVD and the leaflet in the box.
This was not for Pre-order only, and all my friends got it too, so it was not a rare occassion or anything.
I'm pretty sure, it was because they were scared that not all the players got to play the previous games, so they made a summary for people to catch up with the story.
(no idea about the limited edition one though)

awesome stuff, im a yugioh high end collector always platiumed the jak series when i get chance thou, but lately ive been buying the sealed games in grade 9.6 and above, got jak 1 done, missed 2/3 this week sold for steal prices, i will be buying the sealed boxes 1-4 but theyre like 1500 bucks for all 4 so that sucks. if you see a wata 9.8 jak 1 hit me up haha. but yeah nice to collect my childhood fav games in a simular format to what i do with trading cards

Most of my collection came from ebay, and the poster was no different. I got it from France

I still struggle go get my hands on Japanes items ... Do u have any advices ho help build a collection ? Websites for example
Japanese items are certainly a struggle, but the vast majority of my collection came from eBay. If you haven't already, my website the Jak and Daxter Archive is in the description, that's a good place to get a feel for what actually exists

@@hugolaggron798 The Perfect Guide shouldn't be too expensive, probably under $100. As for the Trilogy DVD, it depends which one you're referring to. The PAL one which came with certain copies of Jak X is the most common, and can be found relatively cheap, the NTSC one with the 3 Jak renders can also be found relatively cheap if you look long enough, but the yellow one is the rarest and most expensive, expect to pay quite a bit for that one, unless you can get lucky. Unfortunately, collecting for Jak is an expensive endeavor, but I wish you the best of luck

@@hugolaggron798 that also shouldn't be too much. Keep in mind, I'm only judging these based off what I've paid for them, and how much I see them go for, the best way to get a feel for how much something is worth is so keep an eye on how much they sell for, and how often they get listed

With the jak 4 ps4 cover art, is that a hint to naughty dog starting on developing jak 4 or is it just to show the concept art
The NTSC and PAL Jak 3 demos are different.
The Jak X multiplayer betas are playable. Just need magic. OR, I heard the multiplayer people were able to get it working again, but multiplayer was very limited of course, so my magic is more fun.
And why didn't you ask people for help with the Chinese version of TPL? 🙂
Oh that's really cool, I'll have to try out that disc and see what I can get working. I didn't ask for help with Chinese versions because I forgot haha. Plus I'm not sure how possible it would be to get my hands on those, I've never even seen pictures of them
How much did you pay for the Jak II statue shown at 9:47?
I got mine from an opshop last year for $40AUD. It is slightly damaged.
I remember talking with you about that statue! I got mine for $400 AUD, which is a lot, but it's the best deal I could get since it came from Australia, instead of Europe like I've seen most of them come from

I have the small PAL Demo disc, how much would they go for ? No ones giving me answers. I have a short video on my page featuring the disc asking for information/pricr on it.
It's kinda hard to say since these ones in particular don't pop up super often. I think I bought mine for like $80 aud?

iirc I had to submit something somewhere to get one. Idk if it was the PlayStation website or Naughty Dog… this might be completely wrong though I can barely remember how I got it but I did… I’m pissed because they are probably expensive af now. I might have the disc somewhere still.
