I'd like to thank the video for its helpful guidance on restoring my Myers lemon tree. I purchased it from Walmart for a steal at $7, and it was in a pretty bad state when I got it - it had no leaves at all! But thanks to the video's tips, I was able to nurse it back to health and get it thriving again.
This was an awesome lesson on saving a tree. I did 1/3 compost/soil/worm castings mix, 1/3 perlite, and 1/3 peat moss for my goji berry. It really enjoys the drainage and has been able to handle the desert heat here in Vegas. I also used it for my dragon fruit by further adding sand and cactus mix. I will apply this mix that you showed us in this video for my citrus trees. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Elder! APTTMHY!
Good teaching video. Remember I bought my Meyer lemon dwarf variety last year. I fortune can’t get in garden today we got snow yesterday on the first day of proposedly spring!
Going through all of your Meyer lemon videos right now... your vibe is amazing, and the videos are so helpful! Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us :)
GREAT! Video. I am waiting for my lemon trees to arrive. This video was right on time for me. I am glad you are back. Now. I just need to hear you singing now and then. THX YOU!
I have learned a great deal from this video!!! My Meyer lemon right now, April 14, 2021, is bare of leaves; however, it is loaded with beautiful blooms! Many thanks!
Hi they family. Hope you are managing well doing these times. What a great time to garden right? Can you tell me more about what it is you think you need to repot? Thanks I await!

I apologize everyone. When explaining the white powder like substance in the containers. I meant to say mycelium instead of microrizi at the time I was think about the microrizi and I slipped.
I am so glad i stumbled across your videos. I learned so much. I have two Meyer lemons that haven't been doing well I will be using your ideas about my soil. Thank you for this.
I sincerely with I would work under you. They way you speak is so awesome. You remind me of my grandpa. He use to be to rough though but with me he would take his time and explain things to me. He is transition towards his next stage but I really miss him. But back to my point. Listening to you is kinda awesome and scary in a way... and I just put 2 & 2 together... lol
Also, I live in Zone 7B in Lower Maryland. I have some Trifoliate Citrus. They are about 7 to 15 inches. I might be able to get away with some Meyor Lemons. I want to grow some sweet Citrus... maybe something like a Satsuma or something. Before I take a risk with something so delicate I will learn as much as I can to ensure that I do right by the spirit entrusted to me. I'll take up the challenge soon enough.
Mine is in 70-80% sand and it's doing just fine, has over 50 lemons right now which are almost ripe. And it's in full bloom, by the way. So sand can be used as main ingredient as well.
Hello I'm new to gardening! Happy I found your channel! My meyer lemon just experienced really cold 🥶 weather! The leaves are drooping and beginning to fall ! I brought it in under my carport, it received a lots of rain so not sure it's to wet or to cold 🤔! Can I save it! The cover I used was not thick enough!
Shalom, I can't tell you if you can or not. I'm not there to see and test it's conditions. Follow my citrus playlist specifically "how to restore a bare Meyer lemon"
Hi, enjoying your vibe so you have a new subscriber! I have two brand new trees ready to pot, a Meyer and a Kefir. Because I'm starting from scratch I'm confused on exactly what soil ratios. I will be using a similar size pot, but would like something a little more attractive (any hints). My trees are about 3-3 1/2 feet tall with no branches, but leaves all the way up the stem. How do I help them branch? I live in zone 9 Florida. Any extra help would be so appreciated. I look forward to my citrus trees looking like yours!
I will be doing this to my Meyer lemon. Do you recommend cutting back some tiny branches that grew a bit wild or should I leave it alone? Thank you for your videos and updates 🙏
HI, Actually vermiculite ph is neutral while perlite is slightly alkaline. So to answer your question both holds water but vermiculite holds onto water longer. Perlite does not repel moisture. So if you are growing plants that need wetter soil than vermiculite would be a better choice. Hope this helps.
Hello urban Gardner , just found your vidios yesterday I went on UA-cam watched this guys planting trees in wine barrows went with his mix witch was potting mix / sand 50/50 /clumping kitty litre azomite / zeolite mix all this together well / then starts drilling holes in wine barrows gravel on the bottom shade cloth then puts mix in there , anything else can I do to help these citrus trees along I bought 1 semi dwarf eureka and 1 navel semi dwarf , is that mix you made up in your 44 gal container do I add that to my trees if so how often or something else ??? thank you much Gary from AZ , where I live it gets 115 -- 120° here thanks again
Hello GFary I do not use the mix you use, but I can say to pay close attention to your trees, especially in the summer months. Keep them in partial shade and provide a overhead shade cloth.
My Husband went out and got me a big bag of the Kellogs Palm Cactus and Citrus Soil so can I use that in place of the Azeala soil? I will be adding the play sand and Perelite to the soil.
I repotted my tree a month ago but I missed the sand and peralite. Can I repot again or should I wait ? I'm in zone 7 and am due to put pots out in the spring at the end of April.
I sent you a list of videos for you to watch and learn. Do not use sand or perlite. Watch this video in its entirety please. ua-cam.com/video/8jgycmTUgXg/v-deo.html

1/3rd of each amendment
Excellent videos! Your channel is terrific. Thank you for sharing your expertise.
Can your soil mix be used to plant other types of fruit trees?
Thanks citrus tree only
I will be doing this to my Meyer lemon. Do you recommend cutting back some tiny branches that grew a bit wild or should I leave it alone? Thank you for your videos and updates 🙏
Only cut back dead branches or branches that shoot straight up, downward or inward
