    Look up the ALC Conversion chart you can create a much better profile that lets you push to the boundary of what your controller and thumbs can achieve. You can also find a middle ground between Linear which is a 0 setting and Classic which is a 10 so that you have 0 dead zone and minimal stick drift. Keep in mind pros change out their controllers regularly so stick drift is rarely a problem they have to deal with for long.

    Also worth mentioning that looking up ALC conversion charts would be your best friend if you're not lazy and want to fine-tune your aim. I had to do this because 4/4 was too fast, 4/3 was too slow and 5/3 as well as 5/4 were a bit too slow/fast, respectively.
    ALC may not be for everyone, but coming from the new MW2, it's been very helpful in very closely matching my MW2 sens so I don't have to retrain my muscle memory for apex specifically. ALC is very powerful, BUT ONLY IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE IT. District has a video detailing every ALC option and it helped me figure out which settings to tweak so you should consider doing a guide on how to find your perfect sens for ALC!

  • @thestrongestbug2452

    Good explanation. Should probably have explained extra pitch/yaw as its an important aspect of classic. For more committed players I think its worth mentioning that if you want to really map out the counter pattern to control recoil, having a lower sens allows you to use more of the stick to do it. It's basically impossible to counter map a recoil pattern properly with high sens, especially linear because the tiniest movement of your thumb shifts your aim so much. Players like AidanTheDestroye and Smeggytoe explained and showed this quite well in the firing range by absolutely lasering targets from a distance. With linear recoil seems to smooth itself to a degree but you just can't get that perfect muscle memory counter pattern control like on low sens classic.

    Last couple of month i’m wondering how in 4 years (even more, because titanfall had this too) non of the data-miners didn’t find the EXACT numbers for converting standard settings to alc. All of this conversion charts didn’t really work for me, something wrong with them, all of them are just guess-work.

    • @mynames7664
      @mynames7664 Рік тому

      Because the way that default sensitivities are set up makes it impossible to actually replicate in ALC’s, I’m fairly certain the way the ramp ups function in default sensitivities are something irreplicable in ALC’s

    • @orangeondaxbox2768
      @orangeondaxbox2768 Рік тому

      Yeah the conversion charts aren’t even accurate. All I can really say is that the default ADS yaw and pitch matches 3 ads fairly closely . The extra yaw and pitch makes it faster don’t need to be added on. Just wish respawn would add something that could basically copy and paste each setting onto ALCs so then you can work off it to make it feel better

    0% deadzone, 31% outer deadzone, 5 response curve
    250 yaw, 200 pitch, 250 extra yaw (max), 250 extra pitch (max), 10%response ramp up, 0% delay
    130 ads yaw, 120 ads pitch, max extra ads yaw and max ads extra pitch, 10% ramp up time 5% delay. I found this as the best tbh, because u basically have 2 senses with the outer deadzon being a really high one thta you can use to do a 180° turn in < 1 second and a slower sense in the center that you can aim with. I use this sense to hit some pretty good controller movement.

      Thanks a lot! You set:
      -Game Profile to “Apex Legends”
      -game units to “in-game”
      -scroll down to sensitivity options and select “simple”
      -scroll back up and change sensitivity to “4” (that’s the “4” in 4-3 linear - you don’t need the 3 because you usually only hipfire in aimlabs)
      -and for controller curve I can’t remember what it’s called but it should either be “linear” or “raw input”, something like that
      From there, I’d recommend taking off aim assist but that’s up to you. If you have any issues, check out Dazs’ video “Apex Legends to Aim Lab Sensitivity”

    After using different sensitivities and controllers I can definitely agree with the two options given here as they naturally provide the best overall sensitivities that ALC can provide. For those interested in ALC, be extremely careful and patient. ALC is really for those who understand their controller, playstyle, and hand anatomy. I do believe ALC is overall better but you have to set the sensitivity right and not constantly change them, as I did when experimenting. I will leave a list here of what is generally good for ALC
    Deadzone: 3-10 (keep at wherever controller has little to no stick drift, extremely important)
    Outer threshold: 2 (changing it only yields slight sensitivity adjustment, no point in changing it
    Response curve: 0 (if not 0 then just use classic settings as being somewhere in between yields too much variability)
    Ads yaw/pitch speed: 200 to 350 (preference/playstyle based)
    Yaw/pitch speed: 200 to 350 (preference/playstyle based)
    Per optic sensitivity: none, too much variability
    Extra turning pitch/yaw for ads and hipfire: preference/playstyle, generally at least a little bit is good
    Final note: nothing is better than practice, don’t get too caught up with changing sensitivity and use something you are comfortable with. For players in their first year of apex just use either of the settings recommended in the video. I can’t emphasize this enough but ONLY use ALC if you are a die hard fan of the game, its too big of a rabbit hole to go through

    • @RobPlaysTooMuch
      @RobPlaysTooMuch  Рік тому +2

      You got it, linear has no aim acceleration and “starts” at the set velocity, classic has to accelerate to the set velocity. Some people actually don’t know that so the graphs help those people!

    • @_deffed
      @_deffed Рік тому +1

      @@RobPlaysTooMuch i was confused because i thought linear always moved at a single speed across all thumbstick inputs.
      to elaborate,
      in ALCs, 0 response curve with 0 extra yaw/pitch and 0 ramp ups moves the same distance in-game no matter how far you push your thumbstick. but in default linear, there is clearly a change-up in speed / ramp up.
      so my question is, is default linear not actually raw input? o-o

    • @RobPlaysTooMuch
      @RobPlaysTooMuch  Рік тому +2

      @@_deffed I see what you mean. 4/4 linear for example ramps up linearly, without a curve. That is to say that you’ll have a graph like this:
      • thumbstick 25% to the side - 180°/s
      • 50% to the side - 360°/s
      • 75% to the side - 540°/s
      • 100% to the side - 720°/s
      Those are just example values for reference. That IS the raw input that the right stick registers because the analog stick uses analog inputs, unlike the keyboard which uses digital inputs. You push it a little an you spin slowly. You push it a lot and you spin quickly. Classic rounds the response curve so you might have something like this:
      • thumbstick 25% to the side - 90°/s
      • 50% to the side - 200°/s
      • 75% to the side - 450°/s
      • 100% to the side - 720°/s
