Having right parotidectomy coming up on the 10th. I was fine a month ago and now the anxiety is creeping up. This video series has calmed that feeling. Thank you.
This was a very helpful video. I will be having a Parotidectomy in a week and this has answered so many questions. Thank you for putting this out there.
Thank you very much Dr. Moore for the well explained and assurance that the weakness will come regarding this Parotidectomy. I’ve done this 3 weeks ago. Ms. Heide you gave me a huge peace of mind with your questions. You are both greatly appreciated. Take care & God bless
After two months after the surgery parotid gland I still can't bling and close my right eye properly, The question is to the doctor, I will get better?
@tlynn7043 I had the surgery 9 months ago. I also had a drain put in that I kept for almost a week. If you have a drain it is very important to not get direct water on it. By no means was I able to wash my hair because of the drain and because of the procedure, pain and discomfort. This is a case-by-case scenario. Not all procedures are the same, not all have a drain and not all parotid tumors are in the same location and require the same procedure. That's why I said a week- 2 weeks.
@@AyrykaSanders oh ok. My drain was taken out the second day. Yes the drain would be an issue. Hope you healed well 😊. I had my surgery a week ago today and have a lot of hard swelling in the area so I’m wondering if keeping the drain in longer is the way to go!
I had my parodectomy done about 3 months ago and still have bad pain near the incision. My jaw feels tight and no pain medication seems to work. Have been going for psychotherapy that helps a little but pain returns the day after. What can I do to manage this pain? Will it get better?
i had surgery and after a month i still had a hard time opening my mouth and it makes me hard to brush my teeth. i wonder when can i fully open my mouth?
Where did you have surgery and who was the surgeon?Hope you don’t mind the questions. Pray you start feeling better soon and the side effects will subside🙏🏻
