The loss of III./ZG 76 - Messerschmitt Bf 110 - September 4th 1940

I was asked to recreate this incident to illustrate one small section of Dennis Clarke's fantastic book "The Battle of Britain Sketchbook".
With the help of Larry69 who created the skins (paint schemes that go on the 3D model) and Peter Cook who supplied some invaluable details, I put together a short video detailing the loss of III./ZG 76 - Messerschmitt Bf 110C-4 (2104:2N+KP) shot down by 43 Sqn. Hurricane flown by Pilot Thomas Frederick Dalton-Morgan, DSO, OBE, DFC & Bar at 13.25 hrs.
Both Oblt. Kurt Ratsch and Ogefr. Hempel were killed in the crash.

What a amazing story its such a shame the crash site is being covered by the A24 road with the remains of the Luftwaffe crew are still buried.
