I Just PASSED my drivers test. 7 mistakes(out of 15) in 20 minutes. And i nailed the parking.woot. i was worried only about that. lol. Im still gunna have my bro sit with my for a few rides and makes sure im doing ok(when driving to new places--like my college.) But my dad was soo happy hes thinking BBQ or whatever i want...i want to chill back and watch a tv show without worry(ive been worried sick for the past week that ive been practicing and waiting for my test).
bro I have a question..u have to do the parallel parking perfectly in order to pass the test or your car can be little bit out and it's ok ..coz I park most of the time my car back little bit out.plz help
Sir, Would you please make a video for teaching the technique as shown during 0:09-0:24 ? There are no videos here which teach that technique. I have seen a few drivers use this technique instead of the traditional one. I know, the initial phases involved in the traditional technique are cut off in that advanced technique, but the remaining steps are the same. One advantage of doing so, aligning bumper or mirror which is time consuming is not needed here. Other driver behind will soon understand our intention to park there. However, in my opinion, the initial steps during 0:09-0:16 is too risky. Recently, I practiced a slightly different technique when doing parallel parking. I approached the parking spot, keeping a lateral distance of 1ft away while moving forward. When my front bumper was aligned with rear bumper of the front car, I turned the steer left, kept moving forward until I could see the back end of the front car through my small triangle window, and stopped. At this reference point, my car made an angle of about 20-30 degree to the curb line. After steering the wheel, I turned the steer one turn to the right and reversed until I reached the standard reference point used in the standard technique which correspond to the right time to straighten the wheel and reversing straight. The remaining steps are the same as involved in the standard technique. The result was satisfactory.
