Excellent Info man!!! I always try to dispel the myth that the FC Turbo ii Box is stronger than the FD box. They're So Similar in strength there'd be no reason to swap to either or. Love the Content!
Are the bell housing interchangeable??? I have a 92 b2600i 4x4 and I'm swapping a 13b in and it's the t2 transmission in there already just need a rotary bell housing which one do I need or are they all the same I heard any s3 or s4 t2 ribbed bell housing would work idk need help
I haven’t really found this on any forms, but can I put an s5 turbo II bell housing on a s4 turbo II transmission and it be fine?? I found a s4 turbo ii trans with no bell housing and s5 bell housings are much easier to find. The only thing I know so far is that the s5 has a couple extra bolt holes but it still bolts up
About the clutch. (engines in general) the thing too look for is not the diameter, its the distance of the pressure plate to the throw out bearing. Flywheel diameter is determined by where the starter sits. Usually OEM diameter, unless it's some weird custom deal.
Chassis. You can either use the crossmember on the TII trans if it has one, or you can modify the NA one to work assuming it's the same series. NA S4 crossmember can be modified for S4 TII, same goes for S5.
I've been told by the interwebs that if you have an S4 GXL for example and you want to swap to a Tii Trans, you can run an driveshaft from an automatic although I'm not sure if it has to be from an S5 or S4
I have a uk spec NA S4 engine and box in my FB S3. The uk spec S4 cars are weird spec with dizzy and thermal reactor, but I’m sure the box is the S5 type bell housing with the fins
The easiest way to tell the difference between the n/a and turbo transmission is the turbo transmission has a sump or removable inspection cover on the bottom.
I live really close to your shop, I don't personally own a rotary or rx-7 (But hope to get one soon, FC as it would be cheaper) but if i just stopped in to look around would that be cool? Glad to see there is a rotary shop near me for future reference!
I am jealous, you guys just have all these spares and cars so readily available. I have been looking for months, and could only see 2-3 FCs for sale for under $12k, in my country only 4-5 were sold this year that I know of, all heavily modified. They are so rare, all JDM cars. I was saving up for a project car but today I'm gonna go test ride a Yamaha R6, and probably buy it for about $2.5k😅 I want a car but 0 - 60 in 3 seconds for $2.5k is too good to pass up.
Thanks for the upload.

Do you know if I can run an ACT FD clutch on a Turbo 2 transmission mated to a 13B REW?
I need an fd transmission but without the damn powertrain mount thing. Can i use an fc tailshaft housing to make that happen?

I don't own a rotary but I love diving deep into any platform. Thanks for the content!

The key difference between the NA and Turbo Rx7 flywheel/clutch is literally the diameter of the clutch.
at 1:40 by bolting up an s4 t2 to your na do you mean na engine or na chassis?

Okay so if you already have the s4 t2 cross member you don't need to worry about it?
A Little Bit Of Everything correct. If your trans has the crossmember, use it.
@@KennyatHumble Link or what must be done for this mod. I have an s4 na tranny crossmember but s4 t2 tranny and chassi. Help
Got a 91 na 5speed transmission and I was wondering if it would fit in place of my rx8 6 speed so far shifter is what I'm worried about
The Turbo cars also run a larger diameter flywheel 12 5/8" compared to the n/a cars were 11 3/4".

Do you all know if I can cover the vent on the GSL/SE transmission? I have old oil deposits coming from their.
I have a uk spec NA S4 engine and box in my FB S3. The uk spec S4 cars are weird spec with dizzy and thermal reactor, but I’m sure the box is the S5 type bell housing with the fins
Is the S5 TII better than the S4 TII? I’m looking to swap my Miata.

Are S4 Turbo II automatic driveshafts and diff the same as manual S4 Turbo II ones?
So complete glass vs glass but a bit stronger
Can u bolt an s5 na trans on s4 t2 engine on s5 chassis. Also are s4 na/t2 diff similar?.
Yes. Poverty is an S5 TII engine with an S4 NA Trans in an S4 Chassis. Previously had an S5.
ROTORS sweet. And s5 have posi diffs which r good for 400hp. Will s5 n/a halfshaft handle 300whp.

Did you quickly say at the end it's actually your Cosmo trans, not a t2? Are they the same?
Will Boehland he means he will fit it in a Cosmo. The jc Cosmo was only available with auto box
You know, not all subscribers can follow your turbo talk
So, what’s your point...?
