Don-"Salah is doing well but he’s not firing." Salah has 6 goals and 5 assists in 10 matches. What exactly is he supposed to do? Both score and assist in every single match. These pundits are literally never satisfied with players.

That’s called real life, not a UA-cam highlight video. Players like Salah and De Bruyne rack up so many goal contributions season after season precisely because they are so aggressive in the final third in a manner that fewer and fewer players are these days. The difference with a player like Salah is he keeps going and doesn’t drop his head. You’re very ironically describing exactly why he has so many goal contributions season after season. He’s the very opposite of someone like Jack Grealish or Bernardo Silva who just play backwards and sideways passes on repeat all match long.
So the same people that said there’s no easy game in the premier league, now saying Liverpool have a easy start. Flip flopping.😅

It's stupid of anyone to say that Liverpool has not been tested. Did Arne Slot bring new players to Liverpool?? Are they not the same Liverpool players that dismantled City at Anfield last season?? How can anyone think Liverpool could lose to top 6 teams because it's Arne Slot that is in charge?? The word test implies 'cluelessness'. They're better than last season when they got 81 points, so don't ever think they'll drop their quality because Arne Slot is their new coach.

It's a fair point that they haven't been tested, but honestly, it's been so easy that they've been switching off in the games they've played. Sure, that's bad, of course - but when they play better teams I think you'll see something new. When they played Arsenal in pre-season (and yes, it was pre-season), they absolutely took them apart, I was kinda embarrassed for Arsenal at how easy it was for Liverpool. As for Salah, he's playing a totally different role. Some of the games they've played, by the way, they've struggled in under Klopp so I don't think just saying "easy games" and ruling anything out doesn't work either. There is one problem that started under Klopp and has continued under Slot - some of the forwards and midfielders aren't greedy enough, they're passing when they should be smashing shots at the oppo goal. Pet hate of mine and it's been pervasive with Liverpool for a couple of years now and remains so, and they need to fix it. If you get the ball into the opposition's box, and you don't get a shot off, on target or not, you're doing football wrong.
One thing that’s overlooked is that Klopp’s sides often underperformed against newly promoted sides. It really was his Achilles’ heel.
People forget so easily. Last season, Liverpool stayed on top of the table for a longer period of time than Manchester City and Arsenal. I won't be surprise if they fall short again.
@@nigelotitus1809 maybe, but I don’t see them falling off in the same manner. Slots style is less aggressive and perhaps won’t burn the players out as much. At least, in theory.
They were not supposed to be anywhere near City. Yet led both the title contender until early April.
I’ve never understood why pundits automatically wrote off Liverpool as being behind City and Arsenal. Liverpool are absolutely stacked from back to front.

Completely agree. Not sure why people keep raving about Arsenal yet again. They have won 1 trophy in 6 years and barely get to the later stages of any cup competition and still can’t win the league.
It's better we're underdogs. Liverpool isn't good, Liverpool is weak, blablabla... It's fine. ManCity and Arsenal are the best and either will probably win the league, great! Liverpool fans won't be disgruntled if we didn't get the price this term. We can wait forever to get another title. However, if we get the title soon, we'll definitely appreciate it and it means more.

I beg to differ. I believe the players, esp Salah, Van Dijk, Trent, Robertson, Alisson, deserve another PL title and a proper bus parade.
It has been a gentle start to the season, perfect for a new manager's ideas to gel with his players. We'll find out this month how good we are.
I love how Craig totally dismisses Liverpool because we have had "easier" fixtures. Nobody is denying the fixtures have been favorable but you still got to beat them.
On the flipside Arsenal played Southampton and Leicester at home and only just about scraped through with wins especially against Leicester...this is followed up by pundits with all sorts of praise and adoration for the "wonderful Arsenal team" "championship performances" etc etc
Im not saying Liverpool are title favorites but you would be the king of stupid to dimiss a team in which the core of that team has won everything in club football.

I think they have the same number of points compared to last year in the same fixtures... They look a lot more comfortable though.... They probably went 1-0 in most of those games last season.
Interesting. I guess we dropped 3 points at home to Forest, gained 2 away to Man Utd, and gained a point somewhere else? I think we only lost to Spurs, Arsenal, Everton and at home to Palace last season

City face teams in Europe that are literally walkovers, but LFC having one of the most difficult CL draws, had an easy one playing AC Milan away at San Siro, and the biggest rivalry at OT is another walk over. And then I have not mentioned CP at home is a really tough fixture.

Narratives generated by media producers which ignore or wave away any data or context that really matters. It's been this way for years about Liverpool. The rationale for the narrative will change if we go into Christmas top of the table eg. "They've had a good start but they won't keep it up and they'll fall off just like last season...."
Good but we can be *ALOT* better, I still think the players and manager are adapting to each other. I think it's only fair to judge us when we get a proper DM. That's when you see this team at its maximum.

No, Arsenal didn’t struggle. Against Leicester, they let in a worldie, and one was deflected off Havertz. Against Southampton, they were in control even when going 1-0 down. Struggle is when your team has no clue what to do…….Arsenal against Fulham last year comes to mind.

Bookies adjust the odds based on the amount of money being placed on that result, it’s not from game data, a lot of money is being placed on the PL punishment to Man City will have a direct influence on the title winner, that’s why City’s odds have changed
