growing up in ASMARA I remember during my childhood the beautiful stone wall erected around the Kagew US base campus. I never had an idea what is like inside.
Hello Mr Raymond, I am a film producer and I'm currently working on a great documentary about Ethiopian music from the 1960's-1970's. In our movie we are making portraits of great musicians like Alèmayèhu Eshèté, Amha Eshete and Girma Bèyènè... in the interviews we had made already, the protagonists talked about their musical influences and the topic of Kagnew Station came around. I'm writing here because we are looking for archive footages and photos of thoses times at the kagnew station and I just found this Wonderfull piece :)Would it be possible to get in touch with you so we could see if it would be possible to use those archives in the movie ?? Please let me know, it is quiet important for us to get in touch !!! This would be great for the film. thank you so much. Hoping for a reply :) Anne-Sophie
ERITREAN are not smart people. Well, USA government paid whatever compensation agreed to the Amhara government of Ethiopia. The ERITREANS should have asked Ethiopia for the money!!!!
