Now, THIS is a version of "Softly" I can listen to. Why does everybody else want big horns and snapping fingers? This is the true mood of the song. Glad I discovered this one 2 years down the road.
Exactly! I Iove Nelson Eddy's version and was seeking a female voice and was very disappointed till now.

It certainly is a very appropriate, well-fitting mood & I've never heard ANY version that I liked as much. A genuine pleasure. Her classical training stands her in excellent stead, as does her movement.
