I had a tool like this made for me by a colleague who recommended it. It’s really fantastic. Mine was stolen unfortunately so I’m designing a new one with replaceable needles. Thanks for sharing your build.
I regularly tune and service a Steinway S for which you designed a new soundboard (for Greg Lyons business in Bowling Green, KY). I have to say that this is the finest small grand piano that I have ever heard. Such fine work and richness from such a small piano. Count me as a big fan of yours.
Chris, very good demo. Just be aware that this tool is EXTREMELY powerful. It will do more than you think just by looking at it. The less needles the more it will accomplish since they go in deeper. One can seriously kill a hammer that way. Better to use the dozen needle unit as it's more controllable. This tool has become my favorite needle tool over the last 4 years. The rocking motion seems to produce better results. Peter Grey
