I got my Bachelor's (1995) and Master's (1997) degrees in Electrical Engineering from A&M. Although a student today still needs to accomplish the exact same two things - applying and registering - the process is at least ten times more complicated than in the 90's. A&M needs to simplify, simplify, simplify.

im an incoming engineering student and i agree there's so much stuff to do and theres not a good one place to just see all that i have to do! And when I tell people I'm a bit overwhelmed, especially with this very un intuitive portal, im just told welcome to adult life.

@@who-nb7nh Congratulations on choosing engineering and Texas A&M! These are the two choices that will most define who you are for the rest of your life, and you have made fabulous choices. That doesn't mean A&M cannot be improved - of course it can, and that will always be true. If you really want A&M to be the best it can be - and I do - then providing constructive criticism is necessary. "Welcome to adult life" - as a response to the messy set of emails, websites, and apps that all have little pieces of need-to-know information for you as an A&M student - sounds like the words of a bureaucrat. I've worked for several Fortune 500 companies; none of them could stay in business communicating with their customers in such piecemeal fashion. YOU are the customer here. You're the one paying the money, they're the ones delivering the product (your education). Above all, trust your own common sense, it often will guide you better than listening to so-called "experts". Best of luck to you.
