My first date was a double date at the ⛱️ beach, I grabbed some sand and he found a shell with a hole in it. After our first date we chatted on the phone every week! After 4 months we were engaged and three months after that we were married in the LA Temple. It was so beautiful 😍😍 we still have the sand ⏳ and the 🐚 shell, in a bottle it's been 30 years sep 17th! Congratulations on your wedding 💒
We do a Grinch themed night sometime during December. We make Grinch Punch' to drink (pineapple juice, lemon-lime soda, and lime sherbet), green snacks (guacamole and tortilla chips, green Krispies treats, chocolate chip cookies with green M&Ms, etc.) and we watch the original cartoon, watch the Jim Carey Grinch movie, and finish the night with the original Grinch storybook before bed. It's become a favorite family tradition! 💚💚 🥰
For anyone that want's to craft with the snow without the mess...use a small corn starch or baby powder filled bags that are used in crafting when stamping or scrapbooking to stop static cling. It works every time! Hope the info helps.
Such fun ideas! 💚💚💚💚 I'm 54, and my husband is older than me, but every year we look forward to the Ginch. It's probably our favorite Christmas movie! The styrofoam snow is particularly delightful when it gets knocked off your craft table by wrestling dogs and, of course, spread throughout your home! I was picking up styrofoam snow into summer.....LOL If you do use it IMMEDIATELY empty the flimsy bag into a more stable baggy! I really don't like it, although it looked good for this craft. When using the alcohol ink it's fun to just use a straw and lightly blow the ink while slowly twisting and turning the ball. These make gorgeous ornaments, especially when hung positioned in front of lights.
Thank you! I just signed up for an ornament swap. I have such a hard time deciding what to do for things like that, because there are so many possibilities! I decided to just choose my favorite from this video.
💚 my husbands favorite Christmas movie is the original cartoon Grinch, a must watch every year. I think today’s favorite for me is the melted snowman. ⛄️
I 💝 them all. I actually made a globe when I was in rehab after an accident, we used the tiny snow balls and glitter as filler. We left a trail all the way back to our rooms! Haha 😄
I've used the fake snow for ornaments with my students and found a way that seems to make the process easier. I pour several packages of the snow in the different sizes (there's a smaller and a bigger size snow pellet) into a gallon storage baggie with a slide zipper. Then, with the bag partly zipped, I put the open ornament inside where it is just touching the snow and tilt it so the snow would run inside it. You still have a few clingy pellets on the outside of the ornament but it helps to keep it from going everywhere. Though I have not tried it, I've wondered if using a dryer sheet in the bag or rubbing it on the ornament would help with the static cling. When the snow goes on sale at Dollar Tree after Christmas, I always get a more few bags and add them to the baggie to store for the next year. You can squeeze some of the air out of the bag and it stores pretty flat!
Hi Shannon! Try rubbing a dryer sheet over your table covering the bag, the ornament and the funnel to keep the wee styro beadies from flying everywhere!
I used to make paper funnels to fill my glitter ornaments, but a couple years ago I started buying the funnel sets from the Dollar Tree. (I forget how many come together, but there's a couple sizes.) I use 1 for each color of glitter I use and at the end of the season when I'm finished making ornaments for my shop, I wash them and they're like brand new for the next year.
The Grinch is the best!!! Where we live there was this house all decked out with lights and next door they had a blow up Grinch, it was so funny and I'm sure he got a lot of honks. Tip on the faux snow, use alchol on the inside and let dry then put your snow in. But you can put glitter in it too as well as salt would work too. At least you was a good sport! My favorite had to be the snowman and the alchol one, very pretty. TFS
💚 I loved the snowman even though it was a mess. My tree is all smowmen so these will be a great addition. Trying to think how to add a top hat to them.
The alcohol ink is so cool. Love it. Seems fun. I also want to play with Resin to make it look like shells and different things are floating in liquid. So cool.
💚💚💚I made a jar for my nephew of The Grinch hand stealing Christmas ornaments ect, he's always loved the grench too..... Got my idea from Lisa Marie's diy video. THESE ornaments are so cutie patootie...... thank you so much for the idea's.👍👍🤗
I know this is a year old but as I was looking for ornament ideas I found this video. I plan on getting the same ornaments from dollar tree. I loved all of your designs, especially the alcohol ink. I think I may try that one day. Thanks for sharing!
I love them all. I hope to make the Grinch one 💚 and maybe the Santa Cam! I decorate with a Grinch theme in my entrance area. It started out simple, but every year I add to it!! Love it!!
💚if you had cut a tiny corner off the bag it would have been its own funnel. Also if you store the remainder in a bottle , future crafts will be easier
My son’s kids jumped on a bean bag. It’s exploded!! Need I say what a mess that was. Yes, I could see what you were going through with the cute Snowman ornament. A little messy but look how great the snowman turned out. ☃️ 💚 🦌 🎅 I love all the ornaments!!
The Faux snow is a nightmare. I tried it last year. For weeks I was vacuuming it up. It reminded me of my sons bean bag chair breaking. Horrible stuff. My favorite was the grinch 💚💚💚💚💚
Oh no faux snow!! I have a thing for snowmen so that was definitely my fav ornament. I’m glad you didn’t fast forward that part, I was giggling along with you!! 💚
💚 not sure if anyone else has shared but I've found it easier to put the tops on if you pull up on the ring...the little feet pull up then you place it on the ornament and let it down.....so simple some overlook it...kinda like the lip on the saw box...lol.
When working with the little white balls that spilled and went everywhere you could try just cutting one of the bottom corners off and pouring from there.
Grinch - I like making ornaments and these look like such fun. I love the snowman with all the loose Styrofoam balls! lol The Christmas trees were nice too. I've made the glitter ones and added monograms or names of my grandkids. So much fun to make.
They were all great! I love alcohol inks, they’re so cool to work with. I’ve made the glitter ornaments before using floor wax, those are fun too. The snowman was my favorite, he was adorable!
💚💚💚💚 oh my... no to those little styrofoam balls! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️ I was laughing so hard with you! Just what I thought would happen! 🤣 Yes, you will find it for months !!! LOL!! 💚💚💚💚 LOVE the melted snowman... oh too cute ! 💚💚💚💚 LOVE the sheet music one too! They are all cute as can be! The Ink one ... so many possibilities with that! Looks like stained glass. 💚💚🌲🌲💚💚 Great fun Shannon! PS... The Grinch that Stole Christmas... my friends and I got into trouble at work because we were laughing SO HARD at the scene when the Grinch puts the antlers on his DOG.. and he looks for his dog who is sitting on the back of the sled and waves to the Grinch with than grin... I can still laugh my head off at that scene.. just one of those things I guess that I find so funny 💚
A few years late, but i loved the cute snowman and the crazy snow! I was wondering how that would work for me as the packages in the store were slightly torn and balls were already creeping out!!! I hope to see more videos from you!

What if you'd wiped inside of funnel with dryer sheet b4 you started pouring into ornament.

Oh goodness! I had to smile through your styrofoam story 😆 the joys of crafting 😂 ❤️💚
Grinch
💚 Growing up my daddy used to put one present under the tree for each of us from the Grinch. It is some of my best Christmas memories!!
💚💚 Use a funnel from the Dollar Tree next time that is what I used for the flax snow
❤️💚
The Grinch was my mom favorite. All of us keep the tradition going since. Thanks 😊
Jim Carey was the BEST Grinch, imo 💚
💚I watch the Grinch every year. I used the fake snow last year to make snow globes and I had the stuff all over my work table.
Thank you! I just signed up for an ornament swap. I have such a hard time deciding what to do for things like that, because there are so many possibilities! I decided to just choose my favorite from this video.
Glad this could inspire you!! Enjoy your swap ❤️❤️❤️
I make glitter ornaments every year for my children and grandchildren. I use Mop and Glo and have never had a problem.
On your sea shell ornament I would print out “est. 2020” on your cricket small and put on it.
💚 my husbands favorite Christmas movie is the original cartoon Grinch, a must watch every year. I think today’s favorite for me is the melted snowman. ⛄️
Grinch. The original cartoon. It’s a staple every year. My artist self likes the alcohol ink ornaments the best.
Thank you ❤️💚
Yes those little balls NEVER go away! I am still finding some from 3 years ago! Lol! I 💚 all of the ornaments I can’t just pick one 😊
The most fun to watch was the snowman with the white foam balls. Listening to you laugh made me laugh. Thk💚
I 💝 them all. I actually made a globe when I was in rehab after an accident, we used the tiny snow balls and glitter as filler. We left a trail all the way back to our rooms! Haha 😄
Maybe you could use an “embossing buddy” to prevent static cling! Or a dryer sheet on your paper beforehand! 😊
That’s exactly what I was thinking! Works on all kinds of static cling, including glitter. 💞
Me too. I was watching and thinking the same thing. Definitely a dryer sheet anytime you are working with the styrofoam balls.
💚
@@maggiebaxter610 nope! Trust me.... 🤦🏼♀️

💚 Always watch each Grinch movie every year...still think the Dr. Seuss original is my favorite!

Love them all but I like the glitter with polycrylic. I think I’m gonna make one, too. Glad I got all the materials and no need to buy anymore. 💚
💚 I love the snowman ornament....followed by the snowy tree 2nd.....I am obsessed with snowman everything! 💚
Hi Shannon! Try rubbing a dryer sheet over your table covering the bag, the ornament and the funnel to keep the wee styro beadies from flying everywhere!
I would glue the top so it NEVER comes off and spills all over! I LOVE snowmen so I would totally make this one!
I love avocados and surprises they are fun for me

Static spray is your friend when you work with fake snow. 💚I love the Grinch, the original cartoon. I love your Christmas ideas.
I made the glitter ornaments last year... I used a plastic syringe to add the polycrilic. Super easy, no mess and was easy clean up.
Great tip! Thanks!

Use a dryer sheet wrapped around your funnel. Or wrap it with your funnel. Tape the bottom of your funnel.
Have static guard at the ready when using those foam balls!, works awesome
Oh no faux snow!! I have a thing for snowmen so that was definitely my fav ornament. I’m glad you didn’t fast forward that part, I was giggling along with you!! 💚

💚 you can rub the paper with a dryer sheet to help with the static
Snowman the best. Messy but so cute.

I use the foam balls all the time, I use static Gard to get rid of the static
The last one with tiny balls is outdoor craft for christmas in July!
