As someone who had Nyru for the entire game once I unlocked him, I can confirm that he’s one of my favorites. Nyru has good range, fast movement speed and somewhat high Magic damage. His HP is very low, but that’s not really an issue for me (I’ll explain later on). I paired him with Resper and I did great in the game (even if I played on casual but still). Nyru’s wisp ability starts off weak, but once you get three wisps their damage can really add up. If he was to get close to enemies, the wisps constantly damage them and can even attack enemies while Nyru is moving. Helpful against armored enemies like Cult Abominations. The three wisps deal 8-16 Magic damage and last 6 seconds. Verdant Blast is a really powerful Magic attack that has higher range than Nyru's typical attack range. Yes sometimes the attack can be wasted on a weak enemy but trust me when I say it helps so much. It can deal 360 Magic damage when fully upgraded! Leaf Whirlwind sounds terrible because “Nyru is a ranged hero! He’s not meant to fight melee style!” but if ever DOES have to fight he brings this shield up, damaging enemies around him AND healing himself at the same time. It can chip away at armored enemies’ HP and deal with weak groups of enemies simultaneously. When fully upgraded, it deals 24-56 Magic damage and heals Nyru for 8 seconds. Enfeeblement Charm I’ll admit I don’t find it particularly useful, but it does help to make sure that Nyru doesn’t die accidentally. He only uses it when a group of enemies is nearby, but this could be good support for barracks and other troops. So it does have its uses, but I usually have him fight enemies rather than support troops. It helps him too! The skill weakens enemies by 90% attack power for 8 seconds when maxed out. Nyru’s ultimate skill, Root Defender is actually pretty awesome. When fully upgraded, roots grow over an area, slowing down and dealing 27-44 TRUE DAMAGE to ground enemies for 7 seconds. This skill helps A LOT when fighting hordes of enemies, especially ones like Cult Acolytes, Glarebroods, Mindless Husks and Glarelings. Heck, it can even be used to damage groups of stronger enemies like Cult Abominations and Noxious Spitters! Flying enemies aren’t affected, but some of Nyru’s other skills and his basic attack can harm them. I mentioned that I paired him with Vesper because both of them are ranged (Resper is a combination of melee and ranged) and both of their hero spells are area attacks. They’re also both Linerian heroes so this allowed me to get the Linerian upgrades in the skill tree (towers costing less especially). Most of the towers I used were also Linerian, so each one I built increased the HP of both heroes, which REALLY helped them out especially Nyru. Believe it or not, I think he’s better than Raelyn because he’s much faster, is ranged and has a better hero spell in my opinion. Overall, I just wanted to express my thoughts on Nyru, as I had him as a hero for the entire game, so I had a lot of experience with him. Everyone has their playstyle and so that means everyone has preferences. I respect your opinion! “Listen to nature!”
As far as I've seen and felt from my own experiance, each tier list has different heros on the top and bottom. This means each hero heavily relies on one's playstyle and not just in raw power.
@@massimohack4747 kosmyr lumemir are top 3 but I have seen tier list that put Anya way below. Dragons will always be strong but this is the first game that aren't op and once again it comes down to player's playstyle
I finished the campaign with Raelyn and Nyru. Agree about Raelyn is the best duelist, she cannot die once you upgrade blessing of vitality and pair her with any linirean heroes
The reason why torres' tower skill is bad isnt bc its stats are bad its bc he can and will build it at the most inconvenient times possible, most notably when hes stalling enemies. The last thing I want from a hero who is meant to stall is for them to stop stalling for 3 seconds, which isnt too bad most of the time however if its against a vile spawner or a bladeclaw/scrouge thats near the glare then it just feels like a detriment rather than a useful damage option. If he couldn't build it while in combat or building the tower didn't take torres out of combat it would be a lot better

he's good at stalling not until when he builds a low damage tower. (He becomes immune to any damage and stop stalling the enemy when he uses that skill.)
If you have him maxed he often first spawns his minions and after that builds the tower. If you dislike the fact of him not stalling for a pair of seconds it's just why we have 2 heroes, so one hero could always stall when the other uses skills

And secondly, why should I bring 2 heros designed to stall bc one of them cant do their one job. Instead I could bring a stalling hero and a more damage hero like nyru, instead I have to double down on stalling bc torres is more focused on building his tower than preventing the vile spawner from spawning more flying enemies. So therefore the only heros torres works with are: warhead, anya and raelyn. All 3 of which do his one job better so why would I bring him. Oh and for the builders, they will most likely agro on a nearby mindless husks or other lesser enemies instead bc shockingly enemies spawn in swarms.
Nyru is actually amazing and carried me through most of the levels. His Orb, fairies and primary attack mess up flying and tanky enemies and his leaf shield/charm are good for survivablitiy in the chance he gets caught in melee range. His hero power is arguably one of the best in the game; AoE Slow and DoT that covers a large amount of the track. He falls off against ranged enemies, especially in the last area and tends to die a lot
@@anteaterhi Ok that seems to be the case. And the description is wrong not only on this, but also on the damage. It sais 20-30 so ~25 dps for 12s, but it's actually ~25 dmg per shot, 3 shots per second. So the actual damage is 3 times higher
Inaccurate. Nyru is actually kinda goated, because he can teleport to hit the flying enemies that are really fast, and hard to target/catch up to by any other unit/hero if they slip past your defenses. And the spell is really good too, because it is the one thing that can counter the eye and prevent enemies from redoing the damage you've done to them or activating their abilities. It also lets you completely cut off a group of enemies so you can deal with the other guys if you're in a pinch, or don't have enough units to block, or there are a lot of strong enemies that are impossible to take care of simultaneously.
honestly hard disagree with therien at the bottom, the hero herself is unimpressive but cosmic prison carries this character super hard in the late game being able to stall out the overseer's healing aura during the final stages by removing them from the field, mostly speaking from experience when i say it actually does a lot of work but again it feels like the heroes in this game are at worst still okay
Your assesment of the heroes are pretty good. I just kind of disagree with Therien since I've made good use of her abilities. She does best as back lines blaster. Being just behind some barrack infantry and blasting enemies at a choke point. She also pairs really good with Anya in my opinion. Anya's high movement and abilites make her great for covering Therien and keeping enemies at bay while Therien cover's Anya and her dueling whith her magic.
Hm… the % HP executes have a cooldown? That’s kinda ehh, I thought that they’d work for every enemy the applicable heroes face, since you’re not going from 100 to 0. I guess they were afraid it was going to be too imba or smth?
Reason for me that torres's tower sucks because when he build it he move from the spot i put him and since he is really slow sometimes he didn't even block and needs constant attention to make use of his tankyness
Ive seen at least 3 other hero tier list for this game, and each of them are completely different (except for the ranking of the dragons). They did a really better job at balancing the heroes
Therien is also bugged at the moment, and her movement speed constantly decreases throughout the level. Exactly the speed of her movement without teleportation.

I found Lumenir kind of weak at least on the Steam version, the heal and stun are useful but unless one really leans into high level Paladins or has other ways of killing, she doesn't move the needle for me. She's also kind of awful vs flying enemies, only seems to have the main attack which doesn't always target properly, and none of her other skills seem to hit them, even her ult only attacks ground targets
i haven't unlocked final 3 hero's yet but Nyru, Anya, Onagro are most fun to me. btw i have used Nyru (lvl 10) up to world 3 and a bit and i think he's stronger than you give him credit for =)

Nyru is the best free hero mostly becouse he's better than Vesper because his "summon firefly" can attack when he is in close range fight, when Vesper just ignores the flying enemys when in close-range fight and also he is hard to kill due to his sheald, so it's about him being the best ranged free hero alternative.

Kosmyr is not a good hero. Why all likes him. He is useless as hell, cannot stal can not hitwalk properly. In impossible difficulty of late stages of game he is the reason to lose. Mobile heroes as Nyru and Anya are 2-3x better than him.

Mainly because even though she is a duelist she has a presence against groups, her scream in addition to stunning enemies reduces their damage making the troops and herself last a long time in battles and 480 true damage makes her kill easely her enemy, Gerald too and probaly even better but It relies on his enemy damage for his shield to do a good damage. Ah and Gerald shield doesn't work on grand part of the bosses, raelyn 480 true damage works (her shield skill too but It depends if there's enemies nearby).
Broden is better than u think, and 2 dragon isn't good choice bc they cant fight enemy under , and they let them through easily, i was picked them to play game in another expert challenge but too hard if u compare with anya and broden

Maybe he is not so good because of him liking to pop the transformation in last second and getting killed, but it feels like he would be a pritty good close range hero due to his healing abilities

When he builds he repositioned further from the pin point i pinned which is bad too

Onagro=Battle mecha
Onagro is essentially a combination of Battle Mecha, DWAARP, and Goblin Zeppelin into one hero. Which is cool

Dante actually deals physical damage I believe, but it’s still a high overall amount of damage.

Therien works amazingly with Raelyn. The shield gives Raelyn or the dark knight more survivability. Additional range in towers is also quite useful
kosmyr looks like so badss for me, and this dragon is very BROKEN

I think it's because Gerald is more of a support hero that coops with barracks
Also Gerald have a less amount of abilities on his Max lvl and no super so it's no fair from the start.

And about main point Rayelin ,yeah her shield may be better and even her stun, but here is a problem, as hero ,she less usefull ,cause who need tanks? Who need some whos main goal to slow down when you can have someone who can just kill ,and had skill to slow down ,not whole hero
