- Info on the Julian Alps: hink of Slovenia’s Julian Alps and two images often spring to mind - the fairy-tale sight of Lake Bled and, if you’re a winter-sports fan, the ski slopes of Kranjska Gora.
But this alpine region tucked into Slovenia’s northwestern corner is packed with natural wonders, many of which are contained within the country’s only national park, Triglav.
This 168-mile circuit winds through the foothills of the Julian Alps over 16 stages, beginning and ending in Kranjska Gora. (The trail also hives off into four more stages covering an extra 37 miles south toward Nova Gorica.)
Along the way, you’ll be treated to spectacular landscapes of towering peaks, waterfalls, rushing rivers and pristine mountain lakes.
Next to Kobarid, in the Triglav National Park, you will find the Alpine Krn Lake. The lake is not only the most beautiful glacial lake in the Krn Mountains (2,244 m) but also the largest glacial lake in Slovenia. It is only accessible by hiking and every year, countless tourists admire it.
The solitary lake is 300 meters long, 150 meters wide, and offers a perfect view of the surrounding barren mountains (Julian Alps). The deepest point of the lake is 17 meters.
Love the change in vibes you went with this video!

Thanks bro!
A beautiful video. 🙏🏻 Got my first visit in last week just before the weather turned. Wow what a gem of a place.!
I apologize. I just saw this! Also YES I feel like Slovenia is a hidden gem still.
sooo how was it?
So,basically, you're not hiking, you just park your car near the touristy spots (and you couldn't erase the sounds of families screaming in the back) and then you pose a little bit...only possible hike was on krnsko jezero,but,ok...you hike...in silence..in alps ;)
@@4estithil I mean I was silent in the alp ;)! Tbh I don’t edit my noise, if there are background noises I keep them, just showing off this beautiful country to my fellow fat Americans since a lot of people sadly do not know about this amazing country! One day I’ll wanna do a more intense hike but everything I did the average person could do and I think they’d love it! Beautiful country and amazing people. One of my good friends she’s Slovenia so she guided me to all of these places and showed me around.
@@aliveintime Would suggest Mangart hike (you can go up to the saddle w car or bus),or Slemenova špica (specially in the autumn) or maybe to the Triglav lake valley (7 Triglavskih jezera)...you'll enjoy it!
@@4estithil thank you so much! I’d love that. ! Thank you
