This Woman is a freaking legend. She was 70 years old at this time. F***ing 70. If I look half as good as she does there at that age, I am a damn lucky woman! I grew up with that song, her voice was breathtaking already then, I read about her life (losses, gains, hurtings, glories), and she still is a dignified legendary original today. Unbelievable. I've seen dozens and dozens of concerts. By far Tina Turner was the best. Nothing but energy for two and a half hours, great raport with the audience, her pipes never got rusty, and she danced like a maniac.

That's the Queen of Rock n' Roll, that's what.... this song is from the third Mad Max, she starred in it too! the only award that movie won from the many nominations (including for this song) was the NAACP for Tina's acting. Not only a terrific singer, but a great actress, may she rest in peace, died on the 24th this month.... she is a goddess.... aside from the obvious talent, there are three great things about Tina: voice, the songs and her legs.....

The big guy behind Tina was there just for protection in case she accidentally slips. His job was to make sure she is safe. They did a great job of incorporating him into the costume and making him part of the show.

Yes, as others have said here, this is the main End Credits song to the 1985 Post-Apocalyptic film MAD MAX: Beyond Thunderdome (Mad Max 3) which starred Tina Turner as the main villain. She wore this exact same dress in the film. And all the other supporting dancers and performers for this song are also wear garb that characters in the film wore. This song and film were major hits back in the mid to late 80s. The only part that I didn't like from this performance is that it was lacking one important thing. The children choir. When the part goes "And the children SANG! ...WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER HERO... " it was obviously sang by the children choir and it made that segment much more powerful. Do yourself a favor and go look up the original music video and/or an earlier than 2009 live performance, as I think there's one out there that has the child choir in it. But this 2009 version is pretty bad ass though.
