Love this direction for Discmania. I've thought for awhile now that it's hard to learn all of Discmania's lineup with 3 different lineups. Never been a fan of the Active discs besides the Sensei (RIP) and felt like there was some redundancy between the Evolution and Originals lineups with some discs.
Interesting, I've been a huge fan of the Active discs, especially the baseline plastic ones, ever since they debuted with the Asian themes. Just very good discs that cost very little and were honestly immensely durable for baseline plastic, in a completely different way than any DX or D-Line I've seen in the past. And this is from someone who still has their original 1st run P2 and MD1 from 2007, and has been using mostly Discmania (with some MVP mixed in) since then. =) I was always more confused by the Evolution lineup, but thought that it's a necessary evil if they wanna keep the Originals lineup as purely historical. And it's kinda making even less sense to me now as an "beginner" oriented line, when Active already exists and is doing great things. EDIT: Commented too soon, go to the Active line discontinuation part just now. This makes me a sad panda. =(
What I am hearing is House of Discs wants to drop the Chinese made line, and the Discmania Premier line will be the L64 Royal/DD Supreme type line. As a person who has worked in a Disc Golf shop for over 5 years, I think Discmania would sell twice the product if they just made every mold from the Evolution and Originals lines in all plastics on the regular.
This is a perfect example of a change we needed to make, and motivation for adjusting the lineups. We have seen the C-Line Tactic requests for a long time, and we're excited to finally answer the call.
I cannot wait to see what the OG line Tactic and Instinct look like! honestly a little surprised none of the active line is making the cut, I love my sensei! great to see you all reinvent again! Will always rock the shield in my bag.
Thank you Discmania for making top quality discs, I’m DM-exclusive for about a year now and every disc in my bag has a given slot. I welcome these changes overall, except I’ve come to love the Method - such a glidey but stable mid! Looking forward to seeing what mould from the Originals line can cover this slot for me going forward… maybe the MD4? We’ll see. Finally, just a request: please bring out an S-line P1. The P1 is my overall favourite mould and having a durable but straight-flying putter with that precise profile would be great. The C-line P1 is just a hair too stable I feel. Anyhow, that’s it. We always listen to our customers first, and we will continue to do so throughout this transition. If there is enough demand for the Method to move forward, it's likely that we find it a home.
@@OutriderFIN Yeah, the Method is uniqely good! Such good glide and distance for a mid, but still always that reliable fade at the end. One of my most trusted discs! It has to be kept in some fashion, if it is in the Originals line-up in C-line, I wouldn’t be sad.
I was in the store Sunday looking at the Discmania racks wondering how long the Active line would continue to be produced. Keeping the Origin and Essence makes sense. Moving the Tactic to the Originals line in those plastic options seems like the right fit. I'm glad to hear the Link will be staying in production as it's by far my favorite putting putter. I've putt with over 20 different molds from many brands and I keep coming back to the Exo Soft Link.
I NEED C-LINE & S-LINE ENIGMAS ASAP!!! Please, please, pleeeaaassseeeee All of these seem like great choices. Full support on all decision. Just wishing for minimal delay on Enigma transition.
Both sad and happy about these news. Both the Instinct and Method are among my favorite Discmania molds. Truly enjoy both om them in the C-line plastic from the lost stones box, so I really hope both the Instinct and Method comes over to the Originals lineup 🙏
Method can fight opposing wind, apparently beginners may well flip their mids. Splice is shaped awkwardly but many love it, I see that as a problem as MD5 isn't quite as beefy. Enigma is one of the best flying discs I have, therefore I have 5 of them and DD2 sounds good. You need different depths of putters, see e.g. Westside Maiden/Crown/Shield for inspiration. I feel maiden is about the same as Sensei. And how bout some super fast but not insanely beefy drivers for hurricane winds.
Oh no, the Sensei!!! I have been putting with the Yikun Gui (a fantastic putting and throwing putter) and in my search for a replacement that is more readily available I found the Sensei to be the most similar disc in terms of feel… Such a bummer.. :( (Any possibility to bring this mold to the Evolution line?)
I love this. C line tactic will be money. If you can make a flex 1 c line md5 I'd be stoked on that. I also played a rd with a Discmania ambassador in Mokena. He had the best goodies. C line DD? Yes please
Austin almost nade me suck to my stomach with that tactic line. Moving those top selling evolution line discs over sounds good. The premium line better not drive up the cost. Keep making light weight discs available in the beginner line and it will help them sell i believe.
Collapsing the evolution line into the originals line to fill holes and offer them in originals plastics is awesome. Just don't wait too long to reintroduce the instinct!
I hope you will create more understable discs in the Originals (or even Premiere) line. Would be nice to throw bit more understable MD1 (like Origin or Westside Tursas type of a midrange). Same goes of course for all different disc types, not just for midranges. Otherwise everything sounds really cool and I am waiting for these new changes. Cant wait for the C-line Tactic :)!
Understable options will certainly still be a thing in the Originals line. They will just be focused on what a high level competitive player would want, and the MD1 certainly fits that definition.

I understand that want for realignment of the line, however getting rid of the name recognition of the discs seems like a mistake. I feel like whatever the Tactic is renamed to will just fall by the wayside, same with the Instinct and Enigma.
Metal Flake Color Lumen Spore would be sweet, and I'm looking forward to a Color Glow Tactic (RC2/RC3 mold) and a C-Line Tactic (P4 or P4x for the RC2/RC3 mold?). About 80-85% of my bag is Discmania discs.
I guess it's all necessary, good luck ^^ ...but imo the Mentor is your best beginner distance driver so far, it goes FAR easily and great to learn hyzer flips with after beating it in a bit, guess I'll look to Yikun for those from now ;) Those missing the Sensei; Gui in Yikuns Lineup and the Knife by Viking Discs is very similar.
The Yikun Gui is like a touch more stable and a bit more premium feeling putter than the Sensei, and is one of the best throwing putters I have throw ; it is also my main putting putter. The problem for me in Sweden is that the Gui is very hard to come by which makes me a bit sad :,(

I'm not afraid to throw any discs I want, and I try out new molds and plastics often. But I keep coming back to Discmania - and for the last 3 years the Evolution line has been the heart and soul of my bag. I can't imagine playing a round without the Tactic, Essence, or Enigma! Can't wait to start testing a whole bunch of new plastic! Swirly S-line Enigmas, please? 😁
In other words: Discmania becomes a brand of “House of Discs” and all discs will be produced by latitude from now on. Evolution becomes a bit redundant because of that so we switch things around by ditching active which was produced by yikun and make evolution the entry line. Premier will most likely be similar to Royal by latitude and supreme by DD.
I really appreciate this transparency. Interesting to hear the though process behind such big changes. To me the Premier line sounds like it's going to be the Latitude Royal line, more or less. I bet the old Tactics and Splices will sell like hot cakes in the coming days.
We're looking to go well above and beyond what you see in the market right now. We already reinvented our S-Line for superior grip and durability, and really think it's one of the best premium plastics in the game right now. Premier will be a step (or three) above that.
@@DiscmaniaGolfDiscs I see quite a bit of difference between earlier runs of S-line from your in-house production (the FD in particular) to later releases like the PD2 (where the quality has surely increased). Will you do re-runs of the S-line FD in the same shiny and grippy S-line plastic as the version the new PD2s has released in? Would really enjoy that.
@@roguesith94 had both and honestly got rid of both. It’s not the same. If this really goes away without an update soon, I will stock up on instincts or switch to a different disc/manufacturer for that slot
I agree, the Instinct has a different feel, flight, and distance compared to the FD1, it cannot be replaced! On a side not I also think it might have been a mistakes to name the FD1 that and not FD2 to begin with, the large bump in stability between the FD and FD1 seems a bit too large for a naming system where higher numbers equal more stable discs.
Almost all Discmania Pros still throw Innova molds any chance of those older molds coming over to your manufacturing? The new FD's are okay but the old ones are the goat by a large margin it would be cool if you could make them again.
The old molds are owned by Innova, and they no longer partner with Innova, so 100% unlikely...however, you can get an old FD in Champion from the Innova pro shop now
Please make sure you keep the production of orange discs, I only bag orange Discmania and I’d like to keep it that way😂 excited for what’s to come though
Discontinuing Active line immediately? Really? That sucks, those are some great discs and for a fantastic price. They've been my go-to recommendation for beginners for years now, because they're user friendly molds that still work for even advanced players, and the base plastic discs have been cheap and durable, especially vs. any other baseline plastic. =( The price increase from like 8.90€ of Active Base to 10.90€ for Geo for a baseline plastic is gonna be horrific, a 23% bump (and even more for Exo, a 45% bump). The rise in disc prices is already ridiculous, 12.90€ used to be what Champion plastic discs cost, now they're 17.90€, and Neo and C-Line are 19.90€ and 21.90€, while Active Premium was 15.90€... Especially sad to see Genius and Rockstar (and Astronaut to a lesser extent) go away, it's hard to find those good versions of those kinds of discs for their specific jobs, and those two were good at what they did.
Makes sense for the realignment but I must say I'm glad some of the evolution discs are staying as is. The Neo origin and exo hard logic are my favorite discs.
It makes sense to realign the branding to be more consistent, and to drop some of the molds that bump into more popular molds. Shifting some over and renaming them is a little odd to me, especially with something as known as the Tactic, but I appreciate the idea of streamlining. Active Line makes sense to discontinue, since it's not made in-house. I hope the Geo line-up gets expanded to take that place, though. Beginner stuff matters! Premier kinda sounds like it's going to be the Discmania version of Royal/Supreme, which is fun. That plastic is fantastic, so I'm always going to cheer for that to happen. I hope the changes go smoothly and that we'll still get some of the discontinued Evolution molds as special OOP releases or in the Mystery Box!

Please consider revamping the mystery boxes. Back to back during the holiday always feels a bit icky, so space out one summer and one holiday makes some sense to me. Never have repeat molds, even if one is a signature disc. Always put a disc in the secret compartment. Try to have less of the same boxes over and over again, I know this one is tougher, but especially nice for people buying multiple boxes.
I don't see people thinking, "oh, i only stick to the evolution line." The beginner doesn't even know that. But yes, the active line was always weird. I don't think I've ever seen anyone on any course throwing one of those.
Nope, MD4 will remain as seen in the EO Prototype version. We're really happy with how it turned out and the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.
Tilt is missing from the list! Also a smart disc with Gameproofer or TechDisc integrated could be a competitive advantage since no manufacturer has those yet
Well you hit the two reasons I have DM in two top spots…..Method without Neo plastic…..will just have to get used to the lesser S-line MD3. Without the classic blend Tactic, will have to switch to the classic blend Slammer….same flight thankfully, with thumtrac.
💀RIP the Splice. Just fell in love with that disc for my overstable utility slot as an easily replaceable Tilt... Please bring back the Splice or Tilt or I'll have to find the same flight from another manufacturer.
Oooo I would love a horizon or c-line Instinct!!! I feel like naming the Tactic a P4 just doesn’t come across smoothly. That disc is primarily used for approach shots, not putting. Make an AD (approach disc) slot. AD2 or AD3 gives you a slot for a more overstable and understable slot in the future for new approach discs.
Not gonna lie. Gonna miss the magician being available. There's not a lot of discs like it made anymore, and it's the perfect workhorse for slow arm rec player. I hope to see it replaced with something.
No, not the Enigma! 😢 That's my go-to distance driver, I bag 4 of them. I guess it will be interesting to see it in the original plastics, but hopefully, you dont mess with the mold. With the wind in the midwest, I have been throwing my my cloub breeaker a little more lately. What's the time period until it drops in new plastic?
As far as the tactic coming to the original line are you talking about the base tactic/ razer claw 1 and that tooling or the retooled razer claw 2/3 tooling?

I feel discontinuing Method will leave a gap in your lineup. It’s one of my favorite midranges, stable, but nice glide.
Please bring back the Rainmaker. Rename it. Give it to another pro. It’s too good to discontinue.

This. Simplify the product lines. Some of the molds in the Active line are pretty good, if underrated, like the Tailor and Magician.

I got the Essence in a Mystery Box as a gift from a friend and it's one of my fav discs. Glad to hear it's being preserved!
Essence is way too good of a mold to let go of. Glide for days and so comfortable in the hand!

Just got my new exo supre soft tactics (EO Fundraiser and 2022 mystery box special) love the disc and great that it gets an c-line!

To me the Premier line sounds like it's going to be the Latitude Royal line, more or less.

We're looking to go well above and beyond what you see in the market right now. We already reinvented our S-Line for superior grip and durability, and really think it's one of the best premium plastics in the game right now. Premier will be a step (or three) above that.
@@DiscmaniaGolfDiscs I see quite a bit of difference between earlier runs of S-line from your in-house production (the FD in particular) to later releases like the PD2 (where the quality has surely increased). Will you do re-runs of the S-line FD in the same shiny and grippy S-line plastic as the version the new PD2s has released in? Would really enjoy that.

Might be a bit longer than winter for the C-Line and S-Line Tactics, but who knows.. We do like to keep some Mystery surprises up our sleeve.. 👀

@@roguesith94 had both and honestly got rid of both. It’s not the same. If this really goes away without an update soon, I will stock up on instincts or switch to a different disc/manufacturer for that slot
I agree, the Instinct has a different feel, flight, and distance compared to the FD1, it cannot be replaced!
On a side not I also think it might have been a mistakes to name the FD1 that and not FD2 to begin with, the large bump in stability between the FD and FD1 seems a bit too large for a naming system where higher numbers equal more stable discs.

Almost all Discmania Pros still throw Innova molds any chance of those older molds coming over to your manufacturing? The new FD's are okay but the old ones are the goat by a large margin it would be cool if you could make them again.
The old molds are owned by Innova, and they no longer partner with Innova, so 100% unlikely...however, you can get an old FD in Champion from the Innova pro shop now

Discontinuing Active line immediately? Really? That sucks, those are some great discs and for a fantastic price. They've been my go-to recommendation for beginners for years now, because they're user friendly molds that still work for even advanced players, and the base plastic discs have been cheap and durable, especially vs. any other baseline plastic. =(
The price increase from like 8.90€ of Active Base to 10.90€ for Geo for a baseline plastic is gonna be horrific, a 23% bump (and even more for Exo, a 45% bump). The rise in disc prices is already ridiculous, 12.90€ used to be what Champion plastic discs cost, now they're 17.90€, and Neo and C-Line are 19.90€ and 21.90€, while Active Premium was 15.90€...
Especially sad to see Genius and Rockstar (and Astronaut to a lesser extent) go away, it's hard to find those good versions of those kinds of discs for their specific jobs, and those two were good at what they did.
Can't wait to see more Evolution and Originals line discs in department stores!
Makes sense for the realignment but I must say I'm glad some of the evolution discs are staying as is. The Neo origin and exo hard logic are my favorite discs.

It makes sense to realign the branding to be more consistent, and to drop some of the molds that bump into more popular molds. Shifting some over and renaming them is a little odd to me, especially with something as known as the Tactic, but I appreciate the idea of streamlining.
Active Line makes sense to discontinue, since it's not made in-house. I hope the Geo line-up gets expanded to take that place, though. Beginner stuff matters!
Premier kinda sounds like it's going to be the Discmania version of Royal/Supreme, which is fun. That plastic is fantastic, so I'm always going to cheer for that to happen.
I hope the changes go smoothly and that we'll still get some of the discontinued Evolution molds as special OOP releases or in the Mystery Box!

Please consider revamping the mystery boxes. Back to back during the holiday always feels a bit icky, so space out one summer and one holiday makes some sense to me. Never have repeat molds, even if one is a signature disc. Always put a disc in the secret compartment. Try to have less of the same boxes over and over again, I know this one is tougher, but especially nice for people buying multiple boxes.

I don't see people thinking, "oh, i only stick to the evolution line." The beginner doesn't even know that. But yes, the active line was always weird. I don't think I've ever seen anyone on any course throwing one of those.

Nope, MD4 will remain as seen in the EO Prototype version. We're really happy with how it turned out and the feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive.

Well you hit the two reasons I have DM in two top spots…..Method without Neo plastic…..will just have to get used to the lesser S-line MD3. Without the classic blend Tactic, will have to switch to the classic blend Slammer….same flight thankfully, with thumtrac.
💀RIP the Splice. Just fell in love with that disc for my overstable utility slot as an easily replaceable Tilt... Please bring back the Splice or Tilt or I'll have to find the same flight from another manufacturer.

I feel like naming the Tactic a P4 just doesn’t come across smoothly. That disc is primarily used for approach shots, not putting. Make an AD (approach disc) slot. AD2 or AD3 gives you a slot for a more overstable and understable slot in the future for new approach discs.

Nope. Cloudbreaker was Eagle's Creator series mold and it's discontinued. Note, cloudbreaker is different mold than the dd3.
As far as the tactic coming to the original line are you talking about the base tactic/ razer claw 1 and that tooling or the retooled razer claw 2/3 tooling?
