I have a gel battery same size in my motorcycle, I didn’t start the bike one time from October to February, turned the key it fired right up. These batteries are amazing for long term storage.
Hey man great video .I am having a hard time finding the dc plug adapter you used any way you can send me a Amazon link .I plan to do the same set up for my ai nero 5 .love the video man.
Never even thought about battery backup in the UK. We hardly get power cuts and in the event we do, it is just down for a few hours. I take it, if you got an sps tank, then it is a critical equipment
Personally I class it as critical to any tank, for the price of a few "high end" frags it gives you some peace of mind. Although rare,I know of 2 Personal friends with reef tanks that have had power cuts lasting around 20 hours in the last few weeks. Its all down to what level of risk your happy to live with I suppose. At a minimum pick yourself up a little battery powered pump👍
i have a question since your so good with shrooms i just added a bounce mushroom to my tank it is only a baby but i just want to ensure that i can keep it alive because it was such an investment and it is really nice too what are some of the shrooms you have like in the tank you have for your shrooms ?
Hello Ryan, mushrooms like stable tanks like most corals(although not technically coral) just keep your parameters stable with some level of no3/p04. In my experience they don't to too well long term if phosphates drop really low. Flow and lighting can be tricky to get right, they generally like low/medium light and a low gentle current. Hope this helps
I believe it would work as long as the splitter is in parallel, diy or store bought. It’ll just draw more wattage and whether the tunze can handle the draw of the two pumps you’re running is the question. Small to medium power heads would be fine most likely. I’m running a similar setup with a ice cap V3 (12v) with a voltage booster module in line (24v) split to run two Nero 5s. Total cost me $145 (USD) 130 for the battery back up and 12 for a set of 8 booster units(Amazon).

You may not be an electrician, but you’ve made an electrician proud 🥲
Thank you.....🙏🙏🙏

Brilliant, need to get this done on my tank 😀

Watched and subbed Ben, thanks for making this idiot proof for someone like me who is happy to get stuck in but doesn't have the technical knowledge 👍
Thanks for the support mate, I'm hoping to post an update video very soon
If your powering two devices will you need 2 tunze safety connectors?
Yes I think so,you may be able to use one somehow but I wouldn't know how sorry
What connectors did you use?
He says in the video
could you please leave affiliate links to everything you used in the video including the trickle charger you got please mate
oh man there are no links to the products
I posted the links in a comment below mate 👍
I lost 3 tanks due to winter storm. Need this for the reset of my 35x18x24
I've posted the links for the dc jacks for you
@@bencook4779 where.
@@bencook4779 no links. Under drop down.
Can you split the power from one safety connector to run both pumps on backup?
Can you?

@@rc2300s2r So you have a video or link explaining your setup
So for a ai Nero pump you need a 24v battery not a 12v barttery?
Yes you need two 12v batteries 👍
I dont see links.
Ill sort them out for you
Yes. Please post the links Ben. I need to make 8 of theses.
