- As many of you regular wnbc viewers know, Sue Simmons has been off TV for a while, and its been Chuck solo. Thats because of a back injury that happened to her. Well, her longtime co-anchor of 30 years decided to be a gentleman and went to visit Sue at her apartment to see how she was doing. Sue returns back at work on Jan 3rd. Watch in HD.

After all of these years, I still get excited at the thought of seeing Sue. To me, she can never be replaced. I remember the tribute to her, the goodbyes, the flowers, and all of that, but it wasn't mentioned why she was leaving, and I wondered if she had been fired. I felt like crap and dislijed chuck, I blamed him. I stopped watching the news there. It has taken me until now to watch it occasionally. I still think of you, Sue, and prayerfully hope that you are doing well. The very best to you always.

Over the eight weeks or so she was having to watch from home, I wonder how many times she said to her co-anchor or someone else she knew was behind the scenes, "what the fuck are YOU doing?"
