I love both decks.. I use the orange box often.. the thing that I always point out is the Fools bag.. If you look at the fools bag there is a line filled in.. some of the other lines have been tinkered with too. most of the RWS decks use the same line work as far as I know. I don’t know that the line work is the best measure.. I think color is more important.. but it comes down to what you like.. The colors are too sharp and clean to be a Pam A. It’s a great modern deck. Very sharp.. the typewriter font gets on my nerves in this deck. I guess I just never saw the point of comparing it to the Pam A.. at least any more than the others. That’s just my opinion.
When the Pam A was printed in 1910 the printing technology could never produce the quality that’s present in AGM deck..And when I would hear everyone say it was a perfect representation of the Pam, I never really understood what they were talking about.. I would say it’s very Similar but it’s not exact. Not in my opinion anyway.. I enjoyed hearing your thoughts.. We met having this argument hahaha. I’ll always think of you when I use my AGM deck 😂
@@justinmichaeltarot Yeah its close. But the yellow box is closer. Lol. I used to be one of the folks you speak of until you told me abou the study and Art resto decks. Now i can use those as a reference point. So i think i had to do this one for myself so i could see them side by side. The only reason i dont go by the color as much as i do the linework is pixie didnt color the images originally. But ultimately both line and color work matters. I also compared the original rider waite to the 1909 a.r.d cus it was released by Waites estate and supposed to be based on the 1909. But the colors and say otherwise. The line work might have been but those colors arent close at all. Having the facsimile decks has been a great reference for me so im happy you told me about them. I know theres someone whos slowing working tward a Pam B scan deck but dont have an ETA for the finished product.
@@justinmichaeltarot What gets me about the color mostly is the fact the faces no longer looks skin toned in the AE Waite. Theyre yellow now like the simpsons. So while the line works real friggin close that color brightening kinda throws me off especially now that i watch it back. Learning like i said that color matters like the linework matters. Mainly cus i have the study deck. I know if i had to only grab 2 RWS decks in a fire it'd be the Study and ARD decks. Lol.
🤣🤣🤣 The dirty pam and wheat sheath after it are based on the Pam B (supposed to be). So once we have the scan deck ill do a comparison to see how close they really are.
I used to love the Premium, that was until the Study deck... love, love, love it 😍
Now that ive watched it back the colors on the AGM bug me in comparison. Lol. All the characters are super yellow. Study deck wins for sure.

@@ThatOneLazyNerd I’m starting to really get curious about the Pam B. I love those greens.. I might like that better than the Pam A honestly 😂
