    I use the flickers for the past few years in Ohio, they work great in conjunction with the mojo doves and static decoys too. I have not seen anyone else use them, always have hunters ask where I picked them up.

    Been dove hunting since i was able to shoulder my 410 as a youngster. I'm 38 now. I'm a firm believer I almost being able to look them doves in the eyes before I shoulder. I've hunted many fields where the dummies are just a sky blasting away. I just sit patiently an let them run all there shells out. Then I have my limit in day 2 hours

    Howdy from Sacramento. Great vid. Dove is the most fun to hunt IMO.
    I buy the Super Sport 1300 fps 7.5s, (in the black box). I fill my bucket with ice to keep the birds cool after shooting them.
    15 dove limit now in CA. Looking forward to the opener on 1 Sept.
    Happy and safe hunting!

    Excellent video! Added and saved in the archives. Only thing I would add is for new shooters, is to make sure the plug is in the magazine tube to limit for 2+1 shells on your semi or pump shotgun

      Here in Texas you cannot have more than 3 shells in your gun when hunting migratory birds. Not sure about other states though but I'm pretty sure it's a nationwide rule.

    Thank you for your sharing, we learned a lot; highly appreciated.👍
    We did hunting many years in the past, but it hasn’t been allowed overall for many years in our country, no more chance to be opened; we are eager to go hunting again.
    Does foreigner or tourist who comes from other country can be allowed to buy and own gun or borrow gun for hunting in your country?
    Thank you very much.
    Have a nice season.

    Don't forget your HIP certification. It's required for hunting all migratory birds .

      HIP is for when you upland hunt or hunt waterfowl, it's the harvest information program, you can't get a stamp without it. In my state of California, you need an upland bird stamp to hunt dove or other upland species (chukar, grouse, etc). When you are duck hunting, some states require you to get the Migratory Bird Hunting and Conservation Stamp, also known as a Federal Duck Stamp, along with your state waterfowl enhancement stamp as well. Know your state and local regulations (steel shot regulations, hunting start times, etc). Safe hunting!

      Ben Thys here's what you do Ben. Go home, take your shotgun and all hunting equipment, and throw it all in the trash can and take up golfing.

    Birds carry diseases. So do you have to wash your dog's mouth out after a hunt if he carries birds in his mouth?

    • @PH_INFO_101
      @PH_INFO_101 7 років тому

      EVIL Co. 1 question, do you have a dog? The reason I ask is that anyone who has a dog and uses them for bird hunting knows that any disease a bird may carry is a non-factor for a DOG and there is no need to wash out their mouth. You do have a valid concern in regard to the safe handling, by a human, of a bird after the dog retrieves it.

    How much to start leading on average?

    • @D.B.Cooper60
      @D.B.Cooper60 7 років тому +1

      Look up the pull through method, I had it explained to me as like painting the bird with a paint brush, start behind the bird and pull the gun through until you're in front and pull the trigger. Different shots require different lead so pull through the bird and pull the trigger. It's amazing how much better you shoot when you don't think of numbers and just shoot off instinct like that. I know when I start thinking about lead instead of just letting my eyes and brain do it subconsciously my shooting goes down hill fast.

      Alfonso Martinez I second what Matthew said. The biggest thing is it not overthinking it. Eventually it'll become instinctual.
