I found this so interesting. I've never met anyone who is a tech editor before. I have also never heard of dry blocking before either! Very informative and well presented explanation. Thank you! Best wishes! (Margaret of My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast)

Thank you for another informative video. 😊
I have not made 2024 knitting plans yet ....been busy with 5 grandsons since before Christmas and will be doing the grandchild thing until the end of January.
My happy place is picking up my needles each day and getting some stitches made on the 3 WIPS that were on needles before Christmas.

So interesting! I think I'll stick to wet blocking but so great to know this exists as an option. Thank you!

Advent calendars with yarn or fleece are good fun. I also tried one for the first time. Looking forward to understanding more about knitting a gauge in the round. I want to understand how to do them with out creating a “sleeve”, seeing people showing them online with fringe. I have no fringe and my in the round gauge is such a small circumference it is much tighter then when I knit the actual garment.

Nothing wrong with breaking some of our own rules, whether it's about blocking or anything else knitting-related. IMO being able to break some of the rules we make helps keep us sane!

Thanks for another informative video! I love your Fadvent Shawl, so pretty. I took a watercolor class in December and am eager to dive into this new hobby! What is the name of the book you mentioned - sounds like a great way to start this new journey!

Sounds like you had a lovely break! I'm particularly excited about the planning a project video (or series). I've just started my first sweater and realized that the yarn I chose is actually super wash (called "easy care" instead by this manufacturer which is why I didn't catch it). Now I'm concerned about the stretch of the yarn once I wash/block it. Wondering if there's a way to plan for that so I don't wind up in a tent of a project.

That's a great thing to discuss - superwash vs. non-superwash. It won't be in next weeks video but perhaps the week after. Great idea!

Thank you for an informative video. I just finished two projects with mohair. I held a strand of mohair with a fingering weight yarn. One project is a vest and the other one is a poncho. Do you have any suggestions for which blocking technique I should use for projects with mohair? Thank you 🙏

I have always used wet blocking for mohair so I think you would be fine to use that method. The fibers fluff back up again once the project dries out! Thanks so much for joining me here!

    What about steam blocking?
