    Btw TRW is the OE manufaturer for the ABS module and Brake Booster

      True! I am having issues with my 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero V6 and everything is pointing to the ABS module. So, I made some phone calls and did some research to find that TRW “IS” the OE manufacturer. The numbers on the electrical side of the TRW ABS Module are VERY specific to each 9-3 engine, transmission and drivetrain. An achilles heel of the V6 Aero 9-3s due to the electrical wiring of the ABS module. Very difficult to find replacement units and even if you do find one, you need a Tech 2 to marry the VIN#.

    Love the junkyard videos, I'm hoping to get some ice blocks for my car, also need a climate control panel (mine's scratched up) and those plastic covers for the tie downs on the back deck behind the back seat. If I come across any labeled door sills I'll send them to you. Have a great day and thanks for the videos.

      I can probably snag you a climate control and those back seat anchors. I forget what year is your 9-3?

    That's a Lovely Interior...I had this idea about tackling the usual Drivers seat wear...Whichever side you drive on...Buy a passenger seat from abroad..in your case a UK Passenger seat...Later Saabs 93's and 95's had thinner leather hence the wear....by the way..were you looking at an old Volvo elsewhere when the camera was aimed at an old Mercedes

    Hey man!!! It's me again and you're so right. It was no need to do that. True Saabers that go to the junkyard value what is inside of the car like myself!!!!!!

    Dang. I would've grabbed those heated seats. Needed to pull the horn relay and sneak a jumper though.

    Do you know what the junk yard typically gets for the lower back seat? Really need one in mint condition and willing to give you a 15% markup if you can pull and hold for me for pick up, no shipping. Let me know if you would be interested.

      Usually around $25ish but sometimes pricing is different depending on cashier. I wouldn't be able to check if still available until after the holidays. Where are you located?

    Aww that hurts seeing my colour 9-3 sitting in a junkyard.
    Why did you leave the amplifier in the boot tho? Same with the electric mirrors and button.
    Those would always sell here.
    And the climate control units go for good money as well.

    • @WeakestofWeeks
      @WeakestofWeeks  2 роки тому +1

      The junkyard always leaves the vehicles trunks open, so it makes me nervous with the amplifier in the truck and getting soaked. I'll definitely look into the climate control though that's a good idea! Thanks!

    • @skooistra1766
      @skooistra1766 2 роки тому

      @@WeakestofWeeks fair enough about the amp. didn't think about that.
      in the old 9-3's the buttons of the CC units would flake with use. the NG 9-3 has that problem less but is still not fully free of the problem so its worth it imho.
