- I love cooking Curry Chicken (or Chicken Curry lol) with my mother-in-law, Mama Felician, while reminiscing on Gerd's childhood stories. From Trinidad to the Bronx, it has been a journey!
For you to really get to know me, I feel like you need to know the start of my Co., my incredible husband, Gerd Seneca Alexander.

It’s mama saying “guhl if anyone deserve any ‘ting, it’s YOU”! Jesus I felt that in my soul. When a Caribbean mother pays that kind of compliment, it carries SO MUCH WEIGHT”🙌🏽🙌🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽. Glory to God🙏🏽💕🥰
🥲🥲🥲♥️♥️♥️ ufff I was trying to hold it together
Right the ultimate blessing like I gave my son to you!
Legit 😭
I have to agree… West Indian moms don’t necessarily pass out compliments Willy nilly … I teared up!
My god this had burst tears!
Listening to Gerd’s mother, I can see why he chose Claudette to be his wife. They both share similar qualities. Beauty, Grace, Elegant, Strong.
That is the highest compliment … thank you so much 🥲♥️
Say that again 🎯
I can’t get enough of this family. Gerd’s mother acknowledging Claude's sacrifices is everything. May God continues to bless your union and your entire family ❤️
Thank you so much ♥️🙏🏼
Thank you Claudette for accepting Gods direction to become a UA-camr and tell your stories. You have no idea how many lives you’ve touched by just being yourself and I am one of them. May God continue blessing you and your family. May you all continue walking in the purpose ordained for you.
Say that 1 million more times! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Wow… 🥲♥️🙏🏼 thank you! I receive that!

UA-cam needed this channel! Claude and Co I can’t get enough! I love the way you love it other and how it shows! Honestly, this is a fresh of breath air, and I thank you for letting us into your lives! Gerds mom is so beautiful, and when she speaks she has such a Godly way of speaking! Will we meet Gerds siblings in another episode? It would be interesting to hear their stories too! ♥️
Diana, thank you so much ♥️ She sure is…
That’s a great idea and yes that’s the plan. We have quite a bit to roll out … so exciting.
One day soon!
Fellow trini here 🇹🇹 and I loved this!! Seeing our culture shared is heartwarming. Hearing Gerd’s story is a reminder that no matter the circumstances if you dream big, work hard & pray it’ll all work out ❤️

"That was our life, that's nothing to be embarrassed about", mama PREACHED. Your family is so dope. 😍♥

For a suegra to say she is grateful for her daughter in law and that she deserves anything good in life is...wow. Says lot about the wonderful woman she is, both of them ❤️.
Thank you ♥️🙏🏼
As someone who has been raised in the Bronx, hearing Gerd and his mom calling out the different places in the Bronx and how they moved up, it means the world. You all are testaments of what we all can achieve. God bless!
🥲♥️ amen

What great episode !!!
AGREE & SAME!! 🥺 Uptown kid here, my heart was bursting with joy & pride with this episode. From Gun Hill, to 211, to 219 - if you know, YOU KNOW 🙌🏾❤️
Yes amazing
As a child of immigrants, I literally cried throughout this whole thing. Thank you for the inspiration. ❤️❤️❤️
We need another video with Gerd’s mom! Hearing you all discuss Trini phrases makes my heart so happy!! So proud of my heritage 🇹🇹❤️✨🙏🏽
More to come!
I usually neverrrr comment but this was so so beautiful. I smiled, I laughed, I cried. Jett is a very special child, the way she’s listening so intently and the questions she asks you can tell she’s really absorbing everything and these moments will truly shape her
Thank you for taking the time to comment. ❤️
♥️🙏🏼 thank you
As a Trini I am loving this episode and I’m only about 10 minutes in - can’t wait to watch the rest. I was born in South as well, Point Fortin to be exact but I moved to London as a child, 28 years ago. These stories are so relatable, the food, the living conditions, the fact that my two brothers and I came here with my mum. The hard work, success and pure love from you and your family is inspirational. Sending you all the best wishes and hoping God continues to bless you all 💕🙏🏽
Loving this episode as well!!! Fyzo ppl in here! lol

Loved this so much! Mommy needs to come back for more convos and make salt fish and bakes next time! Or better yet there can be a series with Claude learning how to make authentic trini dishes 🙌🏾
Yes!!
That prayer at the end gave me goosebumps. Nothing like a praying mom. What a heartwarming video, just what we need in these times. Keep it going Claude & Co.
Karen, thank you so much.
I had to pause this so quick!!! As soon as she said they’d be cooking I knew it was something with Curry. It was either that or Pelau 🤣 but when Claude said Chicken Curry I was like noooooooooooooo 🤣😂😂😂 it’s Curry Chicken!!!
🤣🤣🤣 … I’m the worst 🤣🤣🤣… ohhh but some Pelau sounds so good! 🤤🤤🤤
The way our immigrant Caribbean family members hustled is so admirable. Takes a level of strength I don’t think I would be able to exude. I praise God for them😭🙏🏽♥️♥️
♥️🥲♥️
The frame with you and both of your moms! Whew! The strength, the power, the elegance the ancestral wisdom of these two women...beautiful! This whole episode bought me warmth and tears please keep these coming this is food for the soul
Omg you guys! Such an amazing story as I'm a trini girl myself. You guys owe the girls and Claude a trip to Trinidad so that they can see that we've come a long way and no longer use latrins haha. Mama made me cry when she said if anyone deserves it is Claude, such an awesome relationship they share, its inspiring.
❤️❤️❤️.

Guyanese in the house 🇬🇾🇬🇾 and laughing everytime someone says "chicken curry"😂❤❤
Lmao 😂 ❤️❤️❤️
Another great video. I did not know much about your husband and what a beautiful story. As someone who grew up in the Bronx as well, this story really hit home. I’d love to see a part 2. Who watched the kids when his mom went to school? how did Gerd react once he found out he got accepted to Yale? And how did he transition into his career? Maybe you’ll both need a book one day lol
Gerd with "izz curry chicken gurl!" had me. Love, love, love this episode. Much love from us here in Trinidad. This the reality up until this day where we would migrate for a better living even though we may have a degree, home, job etc. We as Caribbean people are really hard workers once given an opportunity. God at the center we persevere.🇹🇹🇹🇹
🇹🇹🇹🇹❤️❤️❤️
Yessssss ♥️♥️♥️🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I'm not even half way through the video AND MAN WHAT A TESTIMONY!!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Love! Love! Love! Me again smiling to myself like a crazy person on work while watching this. 😄🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹🇹
I love that Gerd's native Caribbean "accent" comes out a bit stronger as he's speaking with his mother. :)
This really encourages me to continue praying and standing in the gap for my husband and my children. God is faithful

Roy is the real MVP. This shows that to succeed we need to help each other as a family, as friends, as a community. Let's lift each other up. Help when we can. If you know something that can help someone always share.
Say that 1000000 more times. 🎯🎯🎯🎯
Please never stop doing videos!!! Love your content mama, God bless your beautiful family 🤍✨
Wow! I think one of my favorite episodes yet! and woohoo shout out to YALE! My little brother is going for to Yale for his PHD in Sociology and Africana studies, so hearing Gerd's story and journey makes me think of the possibilities my brother will have, very relatable. Claudette you are so right about the cresendo effect information has on our community. I am such a fan of this channel, I am a cross pollinator from Adriennes UA-cam channel lol =) Lovely family, God bless you all.
Hey I'm from the Island of Trinidad. Hearing u guys talk (the Trini accent) makes me feel so happy. Claudette you've got yourself a good guy. Those stories are so true. Wow......
Ugh these damn videos get me every time why am I crying.
Beautiful. I wish I had that kind of relationship with my mother in law. All I ever received was criticism and insults. We're both Christians and my faith surely was tested. May God always bless your family and may his peace and wisdom remain abundant in your lives. I'm really enjoying, learning and being blessed by your channel content.
The Curry Chicken vs Chicken Curry debate is always so funny, love from Guyana 🇬🇾
You’re not alone Claudette! I didn’t know what “vex” meant until my boyfriend told me 😂😂😂😂. Ugh. So many good vibes from this video. I love your family. Your mother-in-law is amazing. I feel like I say this every week lol, but I’m really grateful for this content. Thank you so much.
😭😭😭 I laughed so hard … 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️

Thank you. Share with the trini fam!
Claude, this was another excellent conversation. It is wonderful to share the family culture and traditions with your children. What beauty and grace of Gerd's mother. You all have so much love and respect of each other culture. What a gift to each other, the world, and the universe. Wow! what a teacher you all are -- you make us so proud to be human. Blessings and Love.
Thank you for your kind words 👏🏽🙏🏽
Claudette’s love for Gerd, her selflessness, hard work, goal setting, and praying family along with Gerd’s and his sibling’s support of education has created this beautiful, caring and successful family you see today. Both of your moms lived intensionally with God at the forefront and that seems to be what the both of you did as well when you decided to set the foundation for you life together. It’s a tear jerker of a story. Thank you for sharing and inspiring myself and others to live life a little bit better everyday.
Sandra 🦋
Sandra, thank you so much for sharing ♥️
Love this episode! Seeing the Caribbean culture represented with the inclusivity means the world. Looking forward and can't wait for the episodes to come! And yes Claude we'd be honored to accept you as a Trini as long as you get the Curry Chicken right lol. Think of it this way, do you curry the chicken or chicken the curry?
Gerd’s Momma is so beautiful! I can feel the love & respect you all have for one another! & the warmth & openness you all share! Everyday you are looking more like Momma Nilda! Tell Jet to not grow so fast! 🤗❤️
First of all, Claude I love your new UA-cam page. I love the content. I love the family values. And I am British and now Canadian with West Indian parents.
