The original S200 systems had ranges up to 300km. No reason more modern fuels shouldn't have increased that range I suppose, the obvious issue is the radar coverage to target at that range - enter stage right Ukrainian Intelligence I guess with either small systems in Russia or perhaps a way to hack Russian systems. So deep in their own territory I can't imagine the Russian crews being too alert to the threat until it was too late.
Er, the footage clearly shows an engine failure not a missile strike. Not as if it matters because Ukraine has lost the war and Russia manufactures new strategic bombers.

Really? Armed with cruise missiles. Missiles designed to be deployed outside of the range of enemy defences was shot down by the defences it is designed to negate.

Passing of a harsh bill on mobilization in Ukraine to make up for the army’s losses was a condition for new supplies of arms to Kiev by NATO countries, a diplomatic source in Brussels told TASS.

Arms supplies are only reasonable if a large number of military personnel able to use those weapons in defense and assault operations is available, and if losses are swiftly made up for, for doing which new soldiers should be actively drafted into the military," the diplomat said.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky signed the bill into law to tighten mobilization rules on April 16. The document tightens the mobilization procedure and penalties for draft evaders, and also refines the categories of those subject to mobilization. As a result, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians are expected to be drafted.
On April 19, an online meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council at the level of defense ministers was held, where Ukrainian Defense Minister reported about the situation on the ground and about plans to draft soldiers for the country’s armed forces. After the meeting NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg told a press conference that he expected new statements by the alliance’s countries on arms supplies to Kiev, including air defense systems, cruise missiles and 155mm ammunition, in the near future.

65 but the aircraft is being phased out for cheaper to operate Su-34M and the production run of the most powerful strategic bomber, the Tu-160M2 has restarted. All combat losses over Ukraine have been more than nullified with new production of newest fixed-wing and rotary wing aircraft.

Russia will not announce pauses in fighting if new talks on Ukraine begin, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with the Sputnik, Govorit Moskva and Komsomolskaya Pravda radio stations.
He also noted that the Ukrainian authorities could not be trusted. "First, he (Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky - TASS) banned himself from holding talks," Lavrov noted, adding: "Second, they cannot be trusted."
"We have said that we are ready for talks but contrary to the Istanbul story, we will not announce any pauses in fighting for the duration of talks. The process must continue," he said.
Lavrov emphasized that the situation on the ground had changed significantly. "These realities need to be taken into account. When I say 'realities,' I mean not only the line of engagement and military positions but also the amendments to our Constitution that concern our four new regions, which are our primordial lands. This should be clear to everyone," he added.
"It’s perfectly clear that they don’t understand it. Nor are they prepared to search for any potential compromises. It’s only the Zelensky formula for them, with no alternatives," Lavrov concluded.
