Looking forward to following your journey. I have a cottage beside the BIG CHUTE lock, which should most likely be your most memorable lock. Hopefully get to see you pass by on your journeys I will keep a watch out to when you make your way through. Enjoy and safe travels.
We departed Stuart this morning but we are heading west thru the canal towards Ft Myers then down to the Keys for a couple of months before we start working our way north along the east coast of Florida. Maybe we will see you out there. Our boat is named Bad Idea III. Happy looping!
Yay - the NGLCA pennant is finally up and flapping! It was fun seeing the snippets from your earliest videos, as I remember each one and they reminded me of why I decided to subscribe and follow along with the journey. The excitement is building and I can’t wait for your departure day! (BTW, the aerial shot of the boat is just beautiful - she has truly become a proper yacht!)
What are you planning to use for heat during your loop? You mentioned no AC so that means no reverse cycle heat. Sadly, I’d bet you might see colder temps than 42😢 When we were in Grafton it was in the 30’s for a few days. We made a mad dash south after that!
So excited for you guys!!!!
Wahoo!!! 🎉
Congratulations guys we have been updating our trawler for the past year here in the keys so hopefully next season we will be on our journey.

You should look into a diesel heater. I dont think they are to expensive and will warm the boat on cold nights.

Are y’all using the NEBO app? If you aren’t you should so we could follow your progress on the loop. It’s pretty cool.
Also with Nebo it was really nice to have a digital log of every travel day. 👍🏻
42*, from you're from that's golfing weather!!!
Yeah
Let me know when you get to the Illinois River. I'd buy ya dinner when you get here.
