  • I've had plenty of ice cream in my day, but never have I had one that was as fresh and as close to the advertised flavor as this one. No extracts, no additives, JUST PURE CANTALOUPE greatness!!! I hope you enjoy the video and drop a comment if you end up making this for your family or friends!

    The recipe looks amazing! But what blew my mind was that the kitchen aid has an ice cream maker attachment!!! What??! Have I been living under a rock? That’s so amazing. Now my kitchen aid can transform into a pasta maker AND ice cream maker 🤯 a kitchen aid is all you need haha

    Byron you’re birthing it with the cantaloupe UA-cam recipe creations and videos lately!! Keep the cantaloupe coming it’s my favorite! I always encourage people who don’t like it to keep trying- for most of my life I didn’t like it but now I LOVE! Chunks with Just a pinch of salt is my favorite preparation. So hydrating healthy and satisfying to eat cantaloupes. One of the Best times of the year- celebrating lovingly grown fresh cantaloupes. Blessings Byron Rachel and family ! Peace and Blessings everyone !

    I was surprised that you didn't cook it like a crème anglaise with eggs before churning. Great recipe!

      I wanted it to be more cantaloupe flavor than anything else. Cantaloupe is not an overly competitive flavor, so less is more when you want it to shine

    How on earth do you stay so thin with all these amazing culinary delights around? Surely you have to test these recipes out before you make the videos. Taste-testing must be part of the development of the recipes, too…
    This ice cream looks amazing! I love all things melon, especially in the realm of dairy. Cantaloupe or honeydew Thai milk tea is heavenly! I imagine this ice cream is similarly delicious. I’m amazed that it’s just cream and sugar steeped with the melon. I’ve got the KitchenAid ice cream freezer, so I might give this a try after my next trip to the grocery store. A perfect treat for these 105° days.

    This looks so good. Couple questions: Why the seeds also? Is it like steeping coffee beans or vanilla beans? Do they add any bitterness? Always looking for new ice cream flavors. Thanks for the content .

    • @ByronTalbott
      @ByronTalbott  10 місяців тому +4

      The seeds and membrane have the most complex flavor within the cantaloupe and removing them would be a lost opportunity in flavor melding. No bitterness at all! thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed the new flavor

      @ByronTalbott I made this(minus the candied melon) for my parents who had me over for dinner this past weekend. They loved it! Thanks for the recipe.

    how can the icecream be done without an icecream machine

    • @ByronTalbott
      @ByronTalbott  10 місяців тому +1

      Great question! Freeze the cantaloupe cream in ice cube trays and blend them in blender. Or use the old ice cream method with rock salt, ice, and two metal bowls. Hope this helps
