@@gntyh the idea that trevor can't possibly be above "mediocre" is absurd, no FO would've given him that contract if that were true. His ceiling is still viewed as high
I think a part of why Deshaun Watson not being on that list is why a lot of us don't believe in him. Being on that commissioner's list and not playing for 2 years unquestionably has basically taken away the wow factor he once had. Maybe it's unfair, now if you're saying based on the money that the Browns paid then yes at some point you want a return on the investment. However I think after the 1st year of Deshaun in Cleveland was all I needed to see to know that Deshaun no longer has it. As for Trevor, I don't know about any of you guys but I look at the AFC South and say, "That division sneakily can have 2 playoff teams, cuz everyone loves the Texans but the Jags have a sneaky easy schedule with 4 games vs Titans/Colts, Raiders, Vikings, Patriots, Browns, Jets if the Jags can go 7-2 over these games which I don't believe is unreasonable and go 50/50 on their "more difficult games" they can be 11-6 and be right in that playoff mix". Honestly Trevor might have to be on the list strictly because he was the 1st overall pick and he's not a top 10 QB yet, but being under pressure to perform better in a loaded AFC is a tough ask for a guy who's under subpar management and has to look up at Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, Allen and that's just within his own conference. So if you're saying that Trevor at some point needs to make a SB over the course of his contract then that means over the next decade he'd have to be on this list because I'm not sure he will make a SB anywhere between now and 2034. But if a huge portion of this list is expectations based on how much he's getting paid then Justin Herbert should be on this list . . . But what's wrong with that accusation, expecting anything from Justin Herbert when he's a direct victim of the "Mahomes Era" is nonsense. Like the best you can expect from Justin and Trevor is about what you saw in the 2022 season when Trevor famously came back from behind vs Justin, and then lost to Mahomes on one ankle. Because if Justin or Trevor make it out of the 1st round they're gonna have to deal with 1 or 2 of Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow, Allen, or Stroud. Also I didn't forget Stroud I'm just not 1000% sure that Stroud's better than Trevor however if everybody likes the Texans in that division then Trevor will either face him a 3rd time or Justin will have to face him in the 2nd round. Also to be fair I think Stroud would have to be the AFC WC Weekend Matchup for either Justin or Trevor seeing as how only 1 team gets a bye and that AFC 1st Seed is going to a team not named the Texans.
Jesus Christ Nick has become so biased. How is Trevor Lawrence not on this list after that contract? How is Caleb not on the list with all that hype and that all-star roster?
Idk, I think most people already view Trevor as a middle-tier QB stuck with middle-tier weapons. I feel like that impression is likely to be the same at the end of the season. Caleb is under very little pressure since he has a much stronger supporting cast to rely on than the rest of the rookie QBs. With his WRs, he should be able to throw to open WRs all the time. And any struggles he has will still be written off as him being a rookie, despite the preseason hype.
Jaguars believe in Trevor because of his talent and if Caleb has a bad year he gets the rookie pass. Neither of them have that much pressure compared to the guys listed imo

1) Mahomes is under the most pressure. If they don't win, it's a failure. That is the pressure that serial winners live with. Either the Chiefs win, or he throws 50+ TDs with 5000+ yards, with fewer than 12 INTs. Without either of those, people will say he failed. Noone else is under pressure like that. 2) The second best qb in the NFL now has to play at MVP level every season, AND has to get to the big game. Both these guys are the two qbs under 30 that are guaranteed first ballot HOF players. 3) Lawrence, Love - massively overpaid amd have to justify it. 4) Burrow - career revord just over 50% and injured most of the time. 5) Russell Wilson, Justin Fields - have to save their careers as starters.

I forgot the vice president stint
Nick's suit went crazy today
The quote graphic should come a little after they give their take!!!
🤦♂️😅Dude thinks the QB who plays for a Dynasty... has won 3 out of the last 5 Superbowls... is under the most pressure 😅😂
